Landa

The Landa is a very unique special hotel. It is old style Spanish with a beautiful courtyard to enjoy a lunch or drink in. To watch beautifully dressed people and traditionally dressed Spanish children. It is a 5 minute taxi ride into Burgos and its incredible cathedral and cafe culture. For a shopaholic there is an El Corte Ingles Hipacor 5 minutes drive a way to.

The food was so bland and tasteless in the main restaurant, we were disappointed on our stay this time around. There were no staff at the pool and very few sun loungers for the number of guests. It meant going back into the hotel to request drinks etc.

Our third visit; a lovely room again, as on previous visits. Staff are, as always, amazingly helpful and friendly. The pool is wonderful and a welcome relief after a long drive. Breakfasts are good; though a little hard to judge how much one needs to order. We ordered scrambled eggs and bacon for two and two regular plates of eggs arrived, followed by two large plates of bacon each! We could have shared. Same with evening 'tapas' plates - it's easy to over order in error, so be aware, the servings are generous.

Beautiful historic, boutique hotel with lovely reception in an old tower, beautiful spaces for the bar/restaurant, lovely garden with amazing pool. Our room was spacious and had nice linens and towels, was very clean.

But it was July and the AC didn’t work well at all (we put to the lowest setting) and as a result, our room was very stuffy. It was not so easy to sleep. We would have left the terrace door open, as it was cool outside, but we didn’t want to let bugs inside.

Beautiful building with extremely comfortable bedroom. The pool area and grounds were very well presented. our ground floor room was ideal for our small dog, and access to the garden easy from our terrace.

The restaurant was convenient as we were only staying one night, but the quality of food was poor. we also felt the €70 charge for the dog was excessive.

The uniqueness of the place; the space in the room; that the bathroom is even bigger; the willingness of the staff to assist with every need we had.

Breakfast at a reasonable price would be great. We visited the bar / restaurant once and the level of service there was very different. We had to enquire about everything: where to sit, when we would get served; and then they could only serve a bottle of wine, not just a glass.

Amazing, lux stay. Loved the pool, overall design of the place and very comfortable bed , the best in 2 weeks of travel. The restaurant was very serious but we had a lovely meal there plus dinner and breakfast in the bar, also good.

Air con in our room gave a stale smell, a bit like cigarette smoke, but we could open the windows for fresh air. There was a bar fridge in our room but no tea and coffee facility.

The room was large and very comfortable with beautiful linen and a superb bed.Reception staff were as helpful as could be and the beautiful outside pool was especially welcome given the heat.

The service in the cafe was frustratingly slow, requiring numerous requests for attention…..much better in the restaurant. Coffee and tea making facilities in the bedroom would have been a nice bonus, as would have been an English language TV programme.

The renovation of the hotel is perfect. It is really a magic place even though it is closed to the highway. The staff is amazing and very dedicated. The gothic swimming pool is beautiful. Burgos is at 5-7 min by car which is a plus

The only negative point is the proximity to the highway but all is done to make you feel in an isolated place and finally it is a great experience

Great atmosphere and luxury make for a unique experience at great value. GREAT swimming pool. Very easy to reach from highway and private property. Underground parking and help with luggage.

No smart TV and wifi did not allow Chromecast. Restaurant was not up to standard of hotel (29 Euro for a nice piece of sole (to spice yourself) with 2 small poorly cooked potatoes and NOTHING else on the plate was not was I was expecting).

The buildings are fabulous, and the exterior gardens pool, and other game areas, are excellent. The interior is like a movie, you really want to stay time in the hotel, to enjoy it. The food is very good, the service is very professional and very helpful. the rooms are excellent, The parking is very convenient, excellent warm water pool, in a fabulous room where you can have breakfast, and relax.
