Hotel Cordón

The location of this hotel is ideal for exploring Burgos and there is a lot to see. The staff were helpful and efficient. The bathroom was clean with some nice extra details - shower gels, toothbrush etc.

My room could have been cleaner… the floor, radiator and around the desk looked as if they had not been cleaned for a while. The common areas from the lift to my room could do with some updating and cleaning too. I expected a single room but it was a little small. Three times I had to go back down to the desk to ask for my key to be reprogrammed. A screw dropped as I entered my room at night and the door handle inside the room came off - the hotel reception did not seem surprised! I was expecting a difficult conversation as my Spanish is not so sophisticated but I just held up the screw and he asked for my room number… it has obviously happened before.

Very clean in comfortable in room 303, even had a small balcony that I had requested. Serviced each day with everything topped up. Breakfast area needed to be booked at a time that suited, and there was enough to choose from. Fabulous location and very quiet, even on a busy thoroughfare.

There was an unusual odour when we arrived, perhaps cleaning products. Opened the balcony windows and the odour was gone in no time.

This hotel is friendly and VERY well located and easy to find, walking from the bus station. The best thing was the excellent breakfast the next morning, a wonderful buffet!

The lobby looks spruce, but the hallways and room are getting a little shabby, and the "balcony" advertised with the room was only about fifteen inches deep, nothing you could really sit or even stand on. But we weren't in the room much, so that didn't matter.

Centrally located near downtown square. Very good breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable. Many great restaurants, wine bars, and attractions in walking distance. Parking garage close by. Surprised to find so much English spoken. Biggest cathedral we have ever seen in Europe and we have seen many!

A bit hard to find in that streets have limited access. Once we figured that out, all was good.

The breakfast and reception staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of breakfast items. The room was large, clean and had a huge bed, we were able to take our small pet dog with us. A park was nearby for her morning walk. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops. All in all a lovely stay en route to Bilbao.

Access to the hotel was not easy to unload luggage as it is in a pedestrian only zone however not easy until reception explained what we needed to do. So then it was easy. Car parking was in a different location to the hotel and we had to pay extra for this secure parking which is subsidised by the hotel.

The hotel was nice and check in was easy. My bed was comfortable, but the room was a little warm. I mentioned it to the gentleman working at the desk and they fixed it. They did have a very nice assortment for breakfast with lots of baked goods, fresh fruit and cheeses.

The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the shower set up. It looks like a newer system and is very powerful and I found a bit awkward for the size of the shower cubicle. They also don’t have laundry facilities and you have to go on a 10ish minute walk to the closest laundromat. directions were provided by reception.

The hotel was excellent. Clean, modern, and the room I was in is probably the largest room I've had on the Camino. It felt like I was splurging. The location was great, less than a ten minute walk to the cathedral. Lots of great bars and shopping around. Also, the breakfast at the hotel was really good. Plenty of food, and good quality of items.

We are two cyclists on a ride from Cadiz to San Sebastian. Our needs are simple we seek a clean bed and a hot shower – the hotel provided both Reception was welcoming and helpful – the location and price are critical - both are good enough This was our second visit and the Hotel provides exactly what is required at this price point

Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and a great position .

I had to change rooms because the air conditioning was totally inadequate considering the heat , but this was remedied very quickly by the young girl on reception who got me an up grade to a super double room with adequate air conditioning.
