Hard Rock Hotel Madrid

The staff, the location, the room and the wifi were excellent. However, the breakfast wasn't good. One morning I had benedict eggs and another one I had avocado toast. The bread was of poor quality, they used premade wacamole instead of fresh avocado and the overall quality was bad. Furthermore, we had to wait a lot because they were understaffed for breakfast, so there was a huge line to get get a table.

Wonderful experience with extremely welcoming and attentive staff. Rooms were very high tech services and easy to use. Room service prompt and food excellent. You should stay here while in Madrid. Even live music in lobby.

Not a walkable location must use taxi or uber.

Location was perfect for us. Just nearby everywhere by walking.

The architectural design of the room was a mass for us. Lavabo was outside the toilet located in the room. If you sleep late and you brush your teeth or wash your hand etc… Your room mate get disturbed by the water sound and noise you did…

Bizarre concept to have the hand basin in the bedroom outside the bathroom. Did anyone actually road test how inconvenient that is? I didn't like the fact the toilet didn't lock.No privacy afforded ....

Hard Rock and bars close at 22.00.?? £25 parking for 1 motorbike - disgusting. Booked signed for and paid for breakfast at time of checking in and was challenged by staf when sat down for breakfast stating we neither booked or paid untill they found the signed for paperwork. Seemed because 3x 50+ year olds turned up on motorbikes at the famous Hard Rock we were frowned upon and treated second class - would I stay again - NO Very disappointed.

The staff for sure were the best of the hotel (mostly the two Ana's working at the resto which makes our stay amazing - special thanks to them). The hotel and room is very modern and clean, specially the bed which was super comfy!

Location of the hotel is very good cos you're well connected. However, is not the BEST area to stay - in my opinion - thus to the neighbourhood in front of the hotel called 'Lavapies' which is not the most secure area (Spanish people mentioned this to us several times). We got mugged few blocks from there with my boyfriend on Friday night. A big fail is the rooftop which is one of the nicest spots of the hotel but it's close during winter apparently so we didn't have access to it, they should open it and put some heaters if that's the case... Same as the pool/garden which looks very nice but you cannot enjoy any of those areas because they are compeltyl dead., not even the lights on.

Very good breakfast. Excellent bed and pillows. Friendly atmosphere. Very clean. Great shower. Great location. Great music.

The heating in the room was difficult to regulate. Whatever temperature we set, the air was blowing cold, and consequently we felt cold at times. The restaurant seats near the windows were also cold at times. The coffee machine was extremely noisy.

Majority of the service staff were great . We met some Fantastic and Professional staff members like Andrea, Sofi, Destiny , Vincent , lady at the Hard Rock shop and older male custodian who set up the bed/room for us at check in .Thanks for Front Desk assistance with Booking.com transportation claim regarding the Taxi pick up to and from airport . The credit was processed and finalized successfully ! Lucie at Booking.com worked with your staff very well and ensured the credits were processed. Room was very accommodating and comfortable . Please keep up your warm smiles and willingness to assist at all times regardless of the situation!! Excellent Location & Festive Atmosphere in Madrid ! Close to everything !!!!

Fact that we had to wait for a very long time to get to our room . The Manager had to step in to assist. We had Special needs due to wheelchair and it was a chore to get us situated. Restaurant serving staff needs more training in hospitality & courtesy both locations lobby level and pool level. We were overlooked the first night by wait staff who constantly passed us by after summoning his attention numerous times while at dinner. We ordered a bottle wine with dinner and needed assistance . Room became busy but he kept passing us by to serve a larger group who had arrived after us . We brought the matter to his attention as well. The pool bar has an appealing look but staff were not inviting to us so we hurried back to our rooms .

We chose this hotel as it's a very easy walk from the train station, even with suitcases. We arrived too early but were very pleased when told we could check in to our room if we waited a little so enjoyed a coffee along the street. The staff were all very nice, Alberto greeted us & took our cases and brought us water as it was so very hot outside. The room was excellent. The sink is in the bedroom, which at first seemed odd, but actually, it's so practical. The toilet is separate from the huge walk-in shower, and it is very good when both get ready to go out! The bed was super comfy, with great pillow choices, a strong hairdryer, and a couple of English showing TV channels. The Lavazza coffee machine was also excellent. Coffee tasted great! Breakfast was a good buffet hot & cold selection, and the happy Samuel took our order each day for eggs made to order. The pool was refreshing, and cabanas and loungers were plenty for all and nicely laid out in the garden, which doesn't have a great view but not critical. There is a pool bar, slightly pricey but useful. A nice pool attendant helps you with towels and ensures everyone showers, but it's not a deep pool, so no diving, just gentle swim and dipping. RT600 roof top bar was nice in the evening, but we missed the entertainment. Again more pricey than local bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the staff were great, looked after our bags on our last day and I would recommend a stay here :)

We missed the live entertainment at RT600 as it finished early, but the manager explained why. There are a few steps to get up into the hotel, which are a bit tricky with suitcases.
