NH Madrid Ventas

The staff of this hotel is really friendly, always there to give you a hand and answer all your questions. The standard room is pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary, but comfortable, they have good beds and pillows, letting us have pleasant sleep nights. The location is in a residential area, and you would have to walk c.a 6-7 minutes to the nearest metro station but there is a bus station right in front of the Hotel building, and then you have easy access to the rest of the city.

I would say that I did not like the air conditioner in the room. The minimum temperature was 23 degrees, which was absolutely not pleasant at all. We had to turn it off and open the window for fresh air. I hope this was only because it was "winter"

Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. My son got seriously ill in the middle of the night during our stay and the staff gave us the necessary attention, helped us all to get access to a doctor (a service of the NH-hotels apparently) and later helped us to get to the nearest hospital.

The swimming pool is not accessible - for safety reasons the swimming pool is temporary closed because the neighbouring building is being taken down. The staff helped us to find an alternative swimming pool which we easily found because of the public transport facilities in front of the hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly.

The room was a little on the small side but fine. The washroom was a good size. The only criticism was that the breakfast room was defined by the noise of plates and cutlery being cleared and processed. But generally all very good. The road outside was being resurfaced but was completed by the time we left.

The property was very well kept and clean. Great breakfast and the room was comfortable and nice.

If you are looking to go to central madrid and see the tourist sights and main parts of the city it’s a bit far from everything,but the metro station is very close and makes getting in easy. The pro of staying a bit farther away from the center is that the property is much quieter and there’s some good local spots near by.

I really enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. There was a good selection of Spanish food. Additionally, the cleaning at the hotel was impeccable. Everything was always tidy and well-maintained, which really added to my overall enjoyment of my stay.

One thing that I didn't particularly like about the hotel was the gym. While it was nice to have a gym available, it was quite small and had a low selection of equipment. Additionally, the location of the hotel was a bit far from the center of the city.

The hotel was clean and had great facilities including a nice pool. The room was on the small end but was clean and comfortable enough with a decent sized bathroom. The view of our room was nice too. We can see the pool. The breakfast was excellent. My girlfriend really like the variety of options available, especially for people with special dietary needs.

We were only provided with 2 toilet paper rolls at the beginning and they were much smaller then a regular roll. The daily replacement after room cleaning was done for only the roll which was finished. So we had to make a request for additional rolls and got only one. This could be improved. Also the sheets on the bed felt a bit hard and uncomfortable.

The breakfast buffet was really good, a wide selection of food, juices and coffee available. I also appreciated the variety of milk available for different dietary requirements. The staff at breakfast each day were friendly and helpful. The location was quite convenient, in that it is between the city centre and the airport, but it was a little further than I would have liked from the metro (around 8 mins walk to Ventas - which seems quite far when it's 36+ degrees). The pool was nice. The room was comfortable and clean, but smaller than expected.

The room and hotel in general was quite old fashioned, and the rooms were small. There was no water in the room, no kettle or coffee maker, no slippers or robes - things that you might expect in a 4* hotel. The pool area could do with additional sun loungers and parasols for the sunmer, it would be great if you had access to a bar or drinks while at the pool too. Overall, I felt the hotel was a bit too expensive for what you get.

Best hotel so far in Madrid. Within 2 years we traveled here 6 times and this was our best stay. Family friendly, but great for Business travellers as well. Best breakfast selection! If you have special diet you will find all you need here: vegan, glutenfree..etc and not just the usual cliches - they have a real variety!!! Everything is fresh and great quality. Our rooms and beds were very comfortable. Loved this hotel. Great service!

Breakfast had a large selection, was well laid out and attended. Always getting topped up to ensure everyone got the same standard and availability.Room was a bit small, but spotless clean.Bed was very comfortable

The next door neighbour for one night, was loud and selfish, banging doors and shouting, rather than speaking.If he had not left the next day, I would have complained.Appreciate this is not the hotel's fault. Bad mannered people are everywhere. All the other customers, like ourselves were polite and friendly. Many had lovely well behaved children

Excellent breakfast. Spanish, good quality foods and drinks. The lemon mint water, the fresh fruits, the Jura machines for coffee and of course the slices of iberian ham, chorico amd salami. The larger room type was roomy and nice with nice bathroom too. Nespresso machine in the room, but not many pods. The fridge had enough room for multiple 500ml local beer cans, but only 1 small Heineken pre-filled in. The safe was well placed and one of the nicer ones to use. The pool and the pool area were nice, but the hotel bulding cuts a shadow over it at about 18 something o'clock summer time. Ventas metro station is near and the if you like walking and seeing the city, there is no need for the metro for getting to the city centre and back.

The rooms don't have balkonies. The fridge could have had Marid's local red canned beer and more than one.
