Ibis Styles Madrid City Las Ventas

Breakfast was much better than I expected. There were good enough choices for different tastes. Personally I love eggs and fresh vegetables and I was able to find everything needed, including a yummy Spanish omlette. Location was perfect for my purposes as I had meetings at one of the national institutions nearby and it took me less than 10 mins to walk. Public transportation is also very closeby the bus goes to the city centre. If you prefer to walk going to the centre, it is also easy on the way there (takes 30-40 mins), return is a bit uphill, but completely managable. Staff was very welcoming and responded quickly and professionally to all my inquiries.

The weather was stormy. so I could not benefit from the pool, but I save it for the next time!

Room size, toilette and wc in a room, 2 tv's, wifi, Nespresso machine in the room. Quiet and good for rest. Breakfast was great - great choice, refilled all the time. Room looks the same as on pictures. Baggage lock room. Loby area is nice.

It doesn't feel like you're in 4 star hotel. Room design and style are made in a way that it doesn't cost too much. Maid service was average or below average - personal staff were fully ignored in sense of at least put them in order. First day we didn't had sheets for our kids - maid brought it in the evening. Nespresso capsules without koffein is dominating as refill - all rhe time 3/4 capsules were those, so we bought our own. No indoor pool. Outdoor pool looks more like decoration. Staff was not very kind. No mini shelves in shower area. There was no space for personal higyene belongings.

Great staff, lovely pool area. Comfy bed and pillows. Overall the place looks nice and we had a good time.

Problems with the breakfast payment every morning and they tried to charge the breakfast costs again during check out even though we had already paid before. We booked a room without breakfast and only ate breakfast at the hotel a couple of times and in their system it said that we had had breakfast every morning and not paid for it. They always asked for the room number when entering the breakfast so it felt like a scam since they should have known that we were not even there. A very nice staff member corrected our bill. Unnessecary hassle every morning and again during check out. The room is very basic, more like a three star room. The restaurant is not good and the location of the hotel is not the greatest.

The hotel is beautiful with a modern feel and very confortable. The bed is great and there is a kettle in the room. The bathroom is ok. Super clean. Good check in. The pool is small, but great for a dip after a walk. It's not very central but there are many restaurants close by and good public transport. It's easy to park the car for free on the streets near the hotel. They have gluten free items for breakfast. Definility a good choice if you don't need to stay in the city center.

Breakfast does not have a wide variety of yogurts (there were only sweetened ones). For the price they charge, they could have more options. Communication also left something to be desired. I was told that breakfast was until 11 am (it was a Saturday) at check in and we went down at 10:15. When we went to pick up the fruit there was nothing left and they said it ended at 10:30. I managed, with some difficulty, for the attendant to bring me a nectarine... And I was also wrongly informed of the closing date of the swimming pool. I understand that they changed the date (I even thought it was great to be able to use it), but they could have let me know, since I asked twice before arriving.

Excellent breakfast choices, even when we turned up at the busy times. The hotel employees were super friendly and helpful with our many queries of where to get buses and booking an outward airport taxi. The room was very clean and comfortable

We did have a little issue with a ripped sheet on one of the beds and a light that wouldn't go out in the wardrobe - we did highlight it on the first night but it wasn't addressed, but tbh it didn't affect us muchly. The pool area was lovely but we felt that, at times, there were too many children not being safe - ie, dive bombing into the pool without checking who was in the space - yes their parents should've been aware - but it did seem like an accident waiting to happen! Perhaps a little more awareness from the poolside staff?

The hotel is excellent its very clean and the breakfast is amazing, has a variety of foods. Room service was great, the staff were really friendly. The bed, including the sofa bed was really comfortable and big. Location is perfect because the bus stop is right outside the hotel (bus 53) which takes you to the city center, as well as the metro station about 8 minute walk away. The only thing I'd say is that the pool isn't that big, but it does have a great seating around it.

There's nothing I'd say I disliked about this place, I enjoyed my stay here.

There’s a bus stop outside hotel you can take into the centre. Very convenient. The pool was very busy and if you don’t get there at ten, you’ll not get a seat. Beds were really comfy and rooms were fantastically sound proofed. Lovely staff and nice decor.

People kept groups of chairs at the pool while they weren’t there. Quite irritating. But not sure what the hotel can do about that other than tell people “use it or lose it”!

The comfort and cleanliness of the room. It was silent and nicely decorated too.

The breakfast was too expensive, priced 20€ per person, so we did not book it. The receptionist said that kids do not pay to justify the price…well, how about people like ourselves who don’t have kids? Why should we “pay” for other’s kids breakfast?

Reception personnel were really friendly and helpful. Would give them 9,5/10 points.

Quality of the hotel restaurant food was horrible. We ordered grilled lamb. It came ealier cooked and all cold. The grilled potatoe on the plate was still frozen. The other portion was perch and have never had more tasteless and badly prepared perch. We saw several people leaving the food on their plates and when spoke with them learnt they had similar experience as we had. Also the service there was really bad (arrogant).

I stayed 4 nights . First day by kettle , I had nescafe&tee bags . Next day , they did not complete it, also 3.rd & 4.th day house keeping did not complete and left empty nescafe&tea bags It must not be the quality & issue of Ibis. At the swimming pool , there was mosquitos flying around .It must not be .I warned the life guard .
