Hotel Derby Sevilla

Lovely hotel in a great location right in the centre of Seville. The bed was very comfortable and slept well for all of the five nights I was there. The staff were always friendly to me. There are plenty of bus connections right outside as well as taxis if you need them. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby as well as Las Setas just a few minutes walk away.

There was a lack of soundproofing from my room as I could hear another room having a party from the sound of it on one night but I slept through.

Breakfast - modest, last day no coffee. Location - great! Room - really small and no actual window but backwall. Asked staff what is the bus ticket price - she was judgmental: I never use bus! All room doors are closing with bang - no rubber insulation.

Location of the hotel is superb, very central, walking distance to most points of interest. The hotel is investing in modernisation, the room was clean and the staff was very polite and helpful.

The only thing that was a minus was the noise level, there is no sound proofing for the rooms, so I could easily hear everything from the other rooms and hallway. Still a very enjoyable stay.

This is such a lovely gem in the heart of Sevilla! We absolutely loved our stay and felt so comfortable. The room was very clean and it was cleaned/tidied every day, breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety and options. The staff was very friendly and polite and location was absolutely on point, right in the middle of the city facing El Corte Inglés. Would definitely recommend and would book again 😊

Everything was perfect!

Located close to everything and 10min away from the cathedral clocking that wakes everyone up at 07:00. Breakfast was the same all 5 mornings, but to be honest I enjoyed it because it had a lot of protein and that’s what I’m looking for in a breakfast. Bed was done everyday and towels changed.

No free water in the room, everything was chargeable. Loud group of tourists arriving from their tours at 00:00 and waking me up, yelling goodnight to each other on corridors like they rented the whole floor, but that’s not hotels fault. I left the hotel on Saturday, breakfast starts 8:00, and asked if I can have it earlier because I’m planning to checkout at 08:15, I was told no.

Location was excellent. Room impeccable. Breakfast was superb, though we had to go to another hotel close bye.

Guests (and at times staff) in corridor adjacent to my room tended to be very noisy during siesta time and one occasion in middle of night. Can the hotel put up notices of SILENCE IN CORRIDORS?

The location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance to the Cathedral and all the sights, plenty of shops, bars & restaurants nearby too. The staff were very friendly - we arrived early and they stored our luggage until we could check in at 2pm. Check in was very smooth & quick. The rooms were small (single rooms) but perfect for one person - there was a wardrobe with a safe and a mini fridge, and a decent size television. The bathroom was bigger than average and the shower was very powerful. The rooms were very clean on arrival and were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The whole hotel is very clean and well maintained. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with seating (no bar while we were there but I believe it was due to open) and the breakfast room was very nicely decorated. Reception also held our luggage on the last day which was very helpful as our flight was not until the evening. Once we got to the airport I realized I had left something in the hotel - when I contacted them they were very helpful and advised how I could retrieve my forgotten item.

Breakfast experience was average. The food choice was ok but there was only one member of staff clearing & resetting tables, restocking cups, plates, etc and it just wasn't enough. When we went to get breakfast there were no cups, glasses or cutlery. We likely hit a very busy time (9am) but maybe one additional staff member would have helped. A minor negative as we loved everything else about the hotel.

The staff were really smiley and kind, greeting us every time we saw them and letting us keep our bags there and use the sun deck before and after check out. The sun deck was a lovely space and the location was honestly fantastic. Walking distance to everything with a supermarket and taxi rank next door. Brilliantly located.

Our bathroom could have been ever so slightly cleaner on check in (though I've seen MUCH worse!) and the sound proofing of the hotel generally wasn't fabulous, but again, I've stayed in places where cleanliness and sound proofing have been much much worse.

The rooms were very spacious, the beds are huge, and there enough place to move around. The décor of the room is nice, but the bathroom looks a bit old. There are double windows, so noise from outside doesn't get it, but the walls are thin so you can easily hear what is going on in the next rooms (especially in the bathroom). the breakfast venue is on the fourth floor, and offers both indoor and outdoor sitting options. The location is close to many attractions and stores, although quite far from Plaza de Espana.

The breakfast was not very tasty, the soundproofing between the rooms is poor, the room could be cleaned a little bit better. There are stairs at the entrance to the hotel, which could be difficult while carrying heavy baggage.

Starting with the location, Hotel Derby is perfectly situated in the old city center, making every attraction very accessible within walking (max. 15 min to the Cathedral and the Real Alcazar). There was no excessive noise or anything, the hotel and the rooms being decently soundproofed. Plaza de Armas (for airport bus) is within 15 minutes of walking as well. The rooms are cozy and very clean, so is the hotel. We had 2 rooms booked and both rooms were cleaned daily with towels changed daily and sheets every two days. Size of room was decent, the bathroom was spacious. The bed was large enough and confortable, with 2 sets of pillows. Big TV right in front of the bed, unfortunately with not so many channels available. Tea and coffee, electric kettle and toiletries were offered. Check in and check out were done fast and the staff was nice and helpful. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. Excellent quality for the price we paid and would definitely come back here.
