Hotel Inglaterra

Conveniently, both the Taxi rank and the Tram terminus are a stone’s throw from the Hotel entrance. Also, access by foot to the main attractions and restaurants could not be easier. Friendly and efficient hotel staff. We had a Deluxe Double Room with Terrace which was large, very well equipped, and everything worked as it should. We enjoyed 3 peaceful undisturbed nights. Breakfast was very good with a considerable choice, even chilled Cava sparkling wine was on offer! The coffee was thick and strong. The rooftop terrace bar is exceptional and we always looked forward to our daily visits.

The main restaurant (in common with many others in Seville) does not serve food till after 8.30pm – too late for us! Bar food served in the terrace bar from 7pm, is good, but of limited variety.

A perfect stay was let down by the antics of the barman in the restaurant bar. He rarely wore a mask, swore, did a noisy restocking next to where we were dining..but he excelled by dragging the rubbish through and then back through the restaurant!..

The location of the hotel is excellent, probably the best in the whole city. All areas of Sevilla are easily walkable from it. The rooms were well appointed, with extremely comfortable beds. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The roof terrace and its unrivalled view make this a very special place to stay.

The breakfast is expensive and relatively mediocre. It’d also be nice to have a place to relax other than the roof terrace. Being so centrally located, there is a lot of noise that can be heard from rooms, but ear plugs are provided. We brought our own and the noise didn’t infringe on our enjoyment of the room.

The room with terrace was absolutely fabulous. The 5th floor view of the city skyline and the cathedral was a highlight. The room was gorgeous too, so clean & comfortable with attractive decor and a homely feel. Loved the seating area by the double doors that also gave a great view out. The rest of the hotel was beautiful too. Such a classy place right in the centre of Seville, so perfect for access to all the sights, shops & restaurants. The roof terrace bar was fabulous too, but a little pricey. Mini bar prices and range good. All the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will most definitely stay again if in Seville.

The hotel provides ear plugs in your room, but sadly they do not block out the many church bells that ring throughout the night and early hours, so sleeping can be difficult. Seville is also a lively, vibrant city so being in the centre be prepared to hear loud voices echoing up into the early hours. A brass band on one occasion was particularly interesting playing below at midnight. We couldn't get the air con to work very efficiently so had to open the window... that obviously added to the noise issue. (Plus if you do open the window be prepared for the occasional mosquito).

The hotel is situated in a great central location. The staff were all very friendly and held onto our bags as we arrived before the stipulated check-in time and said they would try and get our room ready as soon as they could. This was very kind of them, although we ended up wondering around Seville and didn't arrive back until the evening.

Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning in the hotel. If you have ever been to Seville you will know how hot it can get. Fortunately for us we were there in the Spring so it was about bearable. As there was no air-con, we needed to keep our windows open during the night, sadly, it seemed that there was a nightclub that kicked out at around 4am, a large, loud crowd gathered for a couple of hours which meant a very upset night of sleep.

Tea pot and fridge in the room. The room itself is spacious, easy to regulate the AC. There is the large bathroom and good quality toiletries. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is central, a walking distance to all sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. Fresh fruit in the lobby and water cooler were a nice welcome after a whole day of visiting the city sites.

The window is not soundproof enough to cut noise at night time from the taxi station right in front of the hotel. The memory foam matrass and artificial fiber blanket were very hot, as the space between them is not breathable. There was no natural wool or cotton options of blankets or duvets in the room. Breakfast was not included, but was available for an exorbitant separate charge.

The hotel is ideally located in the historic centre of Seville a couple of minutes away from the main shopping district and the Seville Cathedral. It is spotlessly clean and excellently maintained. The choice at breakfast is wide, well displayed and fresh. The roof top bar is an excellent place to end the day with a beautiful view.

Although the hotel is excellently maintained, its decor is outdated. However, a change of the very cheap looking hotel room floors and the equally cheap looking bathroom ceilings would go a long way in propping up the hotel room appearance. For me this would make a difference of rating the hotel a 10 from the 9 I presently believe it deserves. Either way, both excellent ratings and would go back when we re-visit beautiful Seville.

The location on Plaza Nueva is outstanding. Close to pedestrian streets. The rooftop cafe is in a great location for the view.

We should have requested a handicapped room, but neglected to do so. The hotel needed to move our room twice until a handicapped equipped room was available. This was our fault and not the hotels. They were very accommodating. The ramp into the hotel is very steep for a wheelchair and we needed assistance to use it. Otherwise the hotel itself is fully accessible.

Simply luxurious hotel full of history and traditions. We felt very welcome there. All facilities were of highest quality. We liked the lounge with free tea, coffee and cold water. The restaurant on the ground floor was also great. The location is superb, close to everything. Taxi stop is just in front of the hotel. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and good value for money.

Can't find a minor detail to be improved.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful plaza very close to the Cathedral and the Palace. Don’t be fooled by the plain exterior… it is beautiful inside. The bedroom was spacious. It was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had a sitting area. There is a large rooftop patio with amazing views of the Cathedral and the city.

The hotel was a bit noisy during the night. The breakfast was fine but the coffee was terrible! Ask for coffee to be brought not from the machines.
