Sweet Hotel Continental

Sweet Hotel Continental was the right choice for our week in Valencia. It is a simple hotel but very comfortable to rest after a day visiting the city. It is located in the center, near stores, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping centers and also close to all the main attractions in the city center/old city. Because Valencia is a flat city, from the hotel you are at a short walking distance to all of the above and also the metro, buses and trains. The front desk staff was amazing, very helpful and very friendly all the time. A special thanks to Pablo and Rodri for helping us on the last day, when our flight was cancelled and unexpectedly we had to extend our stay for another night.

The only negative points were the noises from the other guests who didn't behave, sometimes punching doors in the middle of the night, and also the cleaning service could be improved. Despite that, all was great and for sure we will return!

Nice basic room with super comfortable bed, Wifi worked fast. Great attraction was a roof top terrace with tables where you can enjoy ex. having your breakfast if only weather allows. Location was perfect, very close to City Center and City Hall. 5 min walking distance from metro station which within ca. 40min takes you directly to the airport.

You need to leave the room key each time you walk out from the hotel. Breakfast option was too expensive so I did not use it. Bathroom was tiny, but the shower cabin was spacious.

Perfectly located right in the center on a beautiful street with the bunch of lovely restaurants. Double rooms facing street are lovely with double glazed windows which keep sleep peaceful even in the busy area hotel is located. Fascilities are very simple, but clean and serve the purpose. You cannot control the temperature of AC, but it was set to a perfect temperature. If I felt too cold (unlikely you would with 37 C outside) I could open a window and if it felt slightly warm there was a ceiling fan I could turn on. The hotel has a roof terrace with stunning views. There is no bar but you can bring your own food and drinks. Best part was the amazing staff members, every and each of them very friendly and helpful! Thank you!

I didn’t like my initial room facing internal patio. It had frosted glass window and no view (the wall). There was very little natural light incoming. The bathroom had no door and water was flooding the floors as shower had no barier. It was a small single room and I did not mind the size but the fact it was very dark made it feel clostrofobic and depressing. There were no other rooms available at a time unfortunatelly, but I was eventually given a new room for the last night, which was lovely.

the room was fantastic - it was big and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the staff at the hotel were fantastic, everyone we met was super nice and they even let us leave our luggage there for several hours before we had to leave for the train station. Lastly, the location can't be beat - one block off of the Plaza de Ayuntamiento.

Only two MINOR suggestions: it was a little hot in our room - as most places in Valencia are - and our bathroom shower head was a little strange. it wouldn't stay upright and kept falling back towards the wall, which made it a bit awkward. Also, at various points it would lose most of its water pressure and turn super hot, I'm assuming when others around us were also using their water.

Location of the hotel is great. Everything in the centre of the city is walking distance away. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Everyday we had house keeping and the staff was great. Their restaurant recommendations are also really great.

Bathroom door was getting stuck so you had to use quite some force to open and close it. There was quite strong smell of chlorium but i guess that is the cities problem with water. After a few nights i would maybe expect some more dust cleaning but it wasn't too bad.

The location is fantastic Central to the main square and train station The park 15 min walk away ideal to catch the bus to beach the staff were excellent and very polite and helpful from. Reception to the maids Rooms are basic but comfortable good aircon and ceiling fan which the 2 were needed A nice little rooftop terrace no bar but you can take your own drinks and food up there

Breakfast was OK it was very basic but did the job of fueling you to start your day The only thing at Breakfast was that we booked the slot between 9-9.45 am but some of the bread became hard around the edges and the bread rolls were like rock quite stale so had to be put under the toaster ... it was a small area so you literally was having to wait behind someone while they decided what they wanted ... There was also no tea of coffee facilities in the room but you could use the coffee vending machine in the reception area but if you are on the top floor it is pretty annoying

Staff was awesome - Pablo and Rodrigo especially - thank you guys for everything. Location was perfect, literally in the middle of the city with various public transport opportunities nearby. The rooftop was amazing, the view was nice, it's a chill place to spend some time.

The walls. They are literally made of paper, you can hear everything from the neighbors (LITERALLY everything. They (people in the next room) had a party the day after we arrived, we couldn't sleep).

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. The room is nice. The breakfast buffet is fine. We enjoyed that they have lockers to store stuff before/after check-in.

They have a gluten-free option for breakfast but no gluten-free bread was provided (better to get prepared for this yourself). Noise from the hallway and/or water pipes is sometimes disturbing.

As far as the location is concerned is very convenient, close to the city centre, shops, restaurants, trains and buses. The room was clean and tidy on daily basis and the staff were excellent. The breakfast was good for me, and had everything a person can have for breakfast. My next stay in Valencia certainly will be Sweet Continental Hotel.

Everything was good, nothing to complain.

Location was perfect, staff super friendly, excellent facilities and rooms. Appreciated the different types of milk available to patrons like myself who are unable to have regular milk. Excellent views from the rooftop lounge!

Breakfast could have a bit more variety but everything presented was delicious.
