Hotel Compostela Vigo

room fine, location fine, check-in fine …. everything great

We were having breakfast… when we noticed, that other guests where asked how they wanted to have the breakfast eggs… Nobody asked us… So we ordered scrumbled eggs and were told…. that we only booked the CHEAP breakfast…. We were not aware, that there would have been alternatives… the receptionist tried to explain on basis of his papers… Even after we agreed to pay the the GOOD breakfast, nothing changed. We had the feeling to have been treated like guests second class…

Very clean rooms; comfy bed; good curtains that kept the light out; strong air con; great location for buses to/from airport and going out in town; and thank you very much to the staff for going the extra mile and returning my house keys (which I stupidly left in the room after leaving - thank you María!)

The room met our needs and was comfortable. We had breakfast at the attached cafe and it was delightful. The staff was very helpful. There are nice walking areas along the port.

The location is way off the Camino and is in the middle of a very busy area of Vigo. It is near the port and a large shopping center. The area is just very crowded and bustling.

The location and cleanliness of the hotel was very nice, but more importantly to me, especially Ms. Mary, Mr. Fernando and whose other name I can't remember (I'm very sorry to him), always treated me like Guest Brothers. I thank them once again in your presence.

I would be even happier if there was a hair dryer in the room and the breakfast had a little more variety. But this is just a recommendation.

The location was excellent - right off the main central district (minutes away) but with lots of nice bars and restaurants right next door. It’s incredibly quiet, and well appointed. Front desk staff were very helpful. There is breakfast available - and we really enjoyed having a good warm breakfast before heading out on the camino.

This was our first time in Vigo, and luck would have it this hotel was in the perfect position for exploring the harbour and the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was on the small side, but saying that perfectly adequate for our needs, and clean.

Could have done with a bit more light in the room.

Excellent location - just minutes away from the central shopping and dining plaza, but with two amazing restaurants right next door. Rooms are typical European (smallish) but well appointed and clean. It was very very quiet (very important to me) and they had a great breakfast the next morning. Staff was very helpful.

Great location between the old city and the marina, close to a lot of cafes, restaurants, shops, transport. Clean, spacious, comfortable room with French balcony and wonderful staff.

Soundproofing is fairly light: it didn’t bother me personally but noticed that at busy times, there can be noise from the hallways.

Comfy bed, clean room, wonderful shower, and near food. Julia at the reception was so very helpful and patient with us. We came after a long day walking the Camino Portugues! Many thanks! Breakfast at their restaurant was excellent—toasted croissant, bacon, eggs, espresso and cafe con leche!

Excellent location minutes away from the main plaza, but very quiet. Great restaurants and bars just next door. The rooms were European size, but very clean and with everything you need. The cafe served a very awesome breakfast the next morning which helped get us on our way on the camino.
