Silken Axis Vigo

The room I stayed in was spacious, well-decorated, and very comfortable, providing a peaceful and restful night's sleep. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room and common areas of the hotel was impeccable, contributing to an even more enjoyable stay. The breakfast offered by the hotel was simply delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. I also took the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant and was impressed by the quality and flavor of the dishes served. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to various tourist attractions in the city, as well as restaurants, shops, and public transportation. This made my explorations in Vigo even more convenient and enjoyable.

We loved the location as it was walking distance from the train station and very close to the Old Town. The street was quiet at night and the AC ran consistently, not on and off like many places. Beds were comfortable and closets were spacious. Desk and chair with a good light for computer work. Room darkening curtains were very effective.

The WiFi was in and out, very frustrating. Also, the mini fridge wasn't sufficiently cold. The doors to the rooms were right next to each other and were noisy when closed. Sometimes it sounded like someone was trying to open our door but it was the guests next to us.

This hotel certainly met my expectations in so many ways. The staff were all attentive and polite; they all spoke English. Furthermore, I greatly appreciated the location of the hotel, and I believe it's perfect for those coming into town and/or departing by bus: just 8 minutes on foot! Importantly for keen swimmers: there was also a swimming pool! Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to use it.

During the day, it was noisy in the corridor as they were doing it up. Luckily, the evening and the night were quiet. Also, I didn't like that on the floor of my room there were a couple of long female hairs, which is not a pleasant sight.

Hotel: We were received by a very friendly receptionist with a lovely smile. We felt right at home. And each time we came back to the hotel or out of the elevator there was eye contact and a smile, thats something that couldn't be said of her colleagues. I would hire her anytime! The hotel is easily accessible, has parking facilities and is a 10-minute walk from the center. Room: fairly spacious, modern, comfortable, in good condition and clean. Bathroom ditto. Safe (17inc laptop size) is available and free to use. Wifi (free) present. Roof terrace; small pool and sitting area not too big. Too small if you really want to swim, but to recover from the heat and have a drink, sufficient. A friendly and hardworking service is provided. Parking: Hotelparking available. Overall: Good location, modern and clean.

Room: All the room doors close with a very loud bang. We woke up in the morning to all the doors closing with a very loud bang. Something really needs to be done about that. Breakfast: Decent but way overpriced. €13.50 for the quality and choice of products is too much. Advice is to have breakfast outside, much cheaper, better coffee and more fun. The breakfast area is uninviting and very noisy.

Pool was closed and we did not know this in advance. Noisy guests next door, the helpful staff at reception got us another room on 7th floor. They were very graceful, smiling, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

breakfast was not great in comparison to others I have had in other hotels in Galicia. better options outside for less price. decor is not great with red leather and strange wipeable bed headboard.

The hotel is perfectly located, very near shops, bars etc. The cafe and reception staff were very accommodating and eager to help in any way. The room, for a city centre hotel, was very quiet and had excellent soundproofing.

The main entrance and doorway area could be maintained better. The hotel interior itself is very well kept.

The Axis is ideally located in Vigo city centre and offers great value for money. The cafe breakfast in the hotel lobby was very good and all the staff (especially Marcos in the cafe) were more than helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Axis when visiting Vigo.

The price-quality relation was great. The hotel is comfortable and the facilities are appropriate. It had paid parking that is actually cheaper than a full day at a public parking lot.

The price for breakfast was a bit inflated for the quality. I recommend to not use the hotel for breakfast and instead go to the nearby places that have cheaper ones

This is a very good hotel in a great location. The reception staff were exceptional, welcoming friendly, diligent and efficient. I cannot praise them highly enough.

The continental breakfast was not to our liking. That was due to our personal preferences and coming from Northern Europe, which has a different breakfast cuisine!
