Hotel Goya

The hotel was clean and quiet, tucked into a side street off one of the busier street, right at the edge of the old town, with any shops you might need nearby and restaurants and bars. The room was roomy enough with a double bed as per our request, an ensuite and a coffee maker. It overlooked a large flat roof and backs of other buildings but we didn't mind as the sun and moon were both able to shine into our room, giving it space, lots of light and privacy ( rather than the indoor windows we have experienced in other places which give no light). The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast had all we wanted and its hours were good (7-10 weekdays, later at weekends).

We were unlucky to be feeling a bit under the weather when we stayed there due to a tummy bug ( caught elsewhere) and as there is no bar and only vending machines for a drink, we had to drag ourselves out in search of an open shop on a Sunday evening that sold large bottles of water. It would be nice if we could have bought large bottles of water at reception.

Location is great, staff very hands on and immediately responded to requests with professional attitude Special thanks to receptionist on check in which is doing outstanding job and delivers 5* VIP experience Housekeeping does amazing job, room was very well maintained on arrival and same on the rest days of stay. Public area shiny Room was spacious will lots of storage space Breakfast well organised, not a wide choice but activia was a nice touch not just the cheapest yoghurt which lots hotel do. I personally liked the cake a lot All food fresh and tasty

Took for granted to come to more in room facilities such as kettle, iron. Evening receptionist not very welcoming Breakfast lacks fresh vegetables, no vegan option that I can think of Window can be opened but there no view, could add some curtains for privacy, blind tended to roll up wrong

The hotel is perfectly located and the room was very comfortable and featured a huge private terrace. There were some nice touches such as a coffee machine with coffee pods in the room. The staff was very nice and the hotel very quiet and well insulated despite being old. The lobby is very impressive and the overall style, while it is not the most modern, is quite nice.

The terrace would be much improved by having more plants and potentially lounge chairs or other outdoor furniture.

The location was great you just need to walk outside the hotel and you will find all close in a walking distance, staff was nice, room was always tidy and clean.

That you can smell the humidity everytime you turn on the air conditioner (have humidity allergy so was need it to take a tablet for it)

In itself I didn’t mind , but is very dated , quite 70s. That has a charm in itself but it means sone things are a bit less desirable . Eg, the shower /bath situation could be upgraded, and a few other little things .

Room and bathroom was fine and clean. Bed was very comfy. Staff at reception very helpful and attentive. I think the hotel should mention how easy it is to reach by tram from Zaragoza Goya railway station.

slightly older showers made it difficult to dial in the water temp, but that’s being very picky. the overall experience was wonderful.

Great location close to Old Town. Room was very spacious, air conditioning was lovely and staff very helpful.
