Hotel Palafox

I only review hotels when there is reason, usually unfortunate, to share with other travelers. In this case, the hotel was what a hotel should be. It was late July and Zaragoza may not be the tourism magnet that it may well deserve to be … thus it may have been a slower moment in the life of the hotel, but whatever the case for us everything was perfect. We arrived early, fully prepared just to check in administratively and return later. But we were immediately provided our room. The rooftop pool was reinvigorating before setting off in the heat of the day. In the morning, the breakfast was excellently prepared, very attentive staff, very old school perfection in every element. There were NO problems with any aspect of this hotel. Faultless! That is why I am providing this review. And the price I paid made this hotel a wonder. "Location, location, location!" plus "Value value value!"

Clean, comfortable, quiet, well equipped. Shower was amazing, room and bed huge, nice pool. Great location in the centre near lots of shops, museums etc, bars and restaurants. And above all great value!

Nothing that important! If I was being very picky, a couple more sunshades by the pool would be good, and the gym didn't have much equipment. Also the wifi in the room was poor and often didn't connect.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff are incredibly professional & understanding. This was both before and during our stay. Unfortunately, due my son being too poorly to travel, we had to keep rebooking and their response was very kind & attentive. The facilities & rooms were spotless & beautifully appointed. We were upgraded to a suite; & stayed in a renovated double on our way home. Both were luxurious & comfortable. The location is great for exploring the city. We enjoyed a late evening swim. I would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely room, excellent facilities, very quiet and luxurious. The bar was pleasant and breakfast ample The hotel has its own parking and was able to accommodate us with larger space as their garage has limited headroom (although at a cost of €23 per day). Reasonably central to the attractions. The staff were uniformly charming and helpful.

Our sheets and towels were changed daily despite leaving out the card to ask them not to The bar area is small compared to the size of the hotel and the reception area a little soulless

Very friendly reception. As we arrived in a large stationwagon they invited us to park in the van area to avoid the steep turns in the lower levels of the parking garage. Pool on the top of the roof is fine. Room was fine, sort of classic Spanish atmosphere. Saragossa is well worth the visit especially the Arab/Aragonese fort and the busy streets with many restaurants (much beter food than Barcelona)

Atmosphere is that of a larger hotel with substantial business function. Caffeinated coffee in the room was missing.

It was very nice deal for the price we paid. Hotel has a parking garage, which is extra cost but good price for city center. Good location to visit city. Nice pool upstairs with terrace and sun beds- we enjoyed this place because it was so hot outside and it was enjoyable to cool down a little bit. Breakfast at hotel is with variety- eggs, omelets, sausages, fruits, vegetables, sweets, etc. Most important- hotel staff is welcoming, helpful and reachable at any time. Also liked that room was very spacious with necessary towels, robes and vanity kits.

I received an upgrade and the room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The whole hotel smelled nice, there was soft gentle music along the corridors, everything was nice and cosy. There was some iberico chorizo available for breakfast that is really something to consider. Fresh and delicious fruit was freshly cut and peeled was also available. Just 5 minutes walk from main street and with superb restaurants to have dinner in the same street.

Very clean room with a comfy bed. The hotel is at a perfect location and only a few minute's walk from Zaragoza's most iconic landmarks.

In previous places /hotels I have been they offered complimentary water bottles to guests, but this was not the case with Hotel Palafox. They charged a lot for bottled water in the room. Moreover, it would have been better if more pool umbrellas were available at the swimming pool area.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. When you walk into the lobby you are hit with a wall of crisp cold air which is a fantastic respite from the 30+ degrees heat outside. The bar serves nice cocktails and tasty snacks and is a great place to prep for the day or to relax in the evening. The bedroom was large, tastefully decorated, quiet and comfortable. The hotel is also conveniently located, within a few minutes walk you can enjoy restaurants and bars as well as sightseeing. We very much enjoyed our time in Zaragoza and highly recommend the hotel.

Staff was super nice and helpful. They had our sage fixed within 15 minutes and organised a taxi for is in 5 minutes. Room was comfortable and the swimming pool really great in the hot weather!

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Wifi was poor in the room but excellent in the common areas. Buffet breakfast a bit limited.
