Hotel Holiday Thun

- nice cosy hotel - good location - friendly employee - good breakfast

- the room was not big - WC has a glass wall connected with main room. You can see everything what others doing in WC. highly uncomfortable

Friendy and helpful staff. The hotel is close to the lake. Ideal for sport (biking, running and swimming). Good morning breakfast.

Unimpressive exterior belied the shiny totally redecorated interior. My husband kept commenting on the lovely bathroom! We chose a twin room with balcony and much appreciated the extra spacious feeling to an already goodsized room, plus the extra protection from heat by the awning. No a/c but a fan helped enormously in the heat. Comfy beds. Excellent soundproofing. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Superb staff. Locked garage for bike storage. Quiet location between marina and road, surrounded by trees/park. Adjacent the bus stop into Thun or Spietz. Free bus pass for the area, and superb transport system! Easy 2km to the station/town centre. Delightful town!

The restaurant was popular but looked a bit expensive for us so we ate elsewhere

Fantastic location, just 5 minutes walk from the excellent Strandbad (cheap at CHF 3.50 with the hotel discount), and an easy bus ride into Thun itself. After the first night we chose not to eat in the quiet hotel restaurant, but instead take our pick from the great selection of cafes and restaurants in the buzzing centre of Thun. Hotel breakfast was excellent and staff generally very good. Our veranda was wonderful.

Location, breakfast and especially the staff

Lack of air floor in the room. The windows opened nicely but without a breeze there is no airflow and the room becomes quite warm. A ceiling fan or large floor fan would help with air movement.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Location, room, breakfast, staff, cleanliness were all great. The bed was tremendously comfortable. We went by car, but there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. I will choose this place again when I travel again.

Everything was good. We were provided with the city cards, and the staff were kind and attentive. The hotel is well situated, with an amazing terrace in the restaurant, the breakfast was good.

It would be nice to have a tea/coffee maker in the room.

Very friendly and helpful Staff. The room was large and very clean...comfy beds and everything you would need for a great stay. Breakfast was lovely. Location is excellent - close to the lake and bus stop to travel into town.

Hotel is in great location, rooms are as expected. Hotel has a well located free parking directly in the city center.

A too small choice of meals in the hotel restaurant. Not suitable for more than few days of dining. Will appreciate more alacarte choices. Offer of kind of like "ready to eat pizza" is expensive and not corresponding quality for that many.

Location is excellent, very nice terrace restaurant and clean and neat rooms. The breakfast is typically Swiss with good quality of coffee and food presented in a nice way.

The beds are very soft (foam mattress) and the bathroom is providing only limited privacy due to the fact that the glass wall to the bedroom is only 2/3 made of frosted glass, the rest is see through.
