The Lab Hotel & Apartments

Neat and modern, efficient and friendly staff.Bed very comfortable.

- Traffic noise - since there was no air conditioning, the windows had to be opened. - Bedside lamp only on one side. - No coffee machine [may be a good idea to have an automatic one in the building somewhere] - who drinks powdered coffee nowdays?

The property was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Due to the heat, we had to keep our windows open, and there was a lot of traffic noise. They also charged for coffee for guests.

I think the best was that the bus station was just in front crossing the street. The room had a kitchenette, so that was also nice, and it was a good size. Check-in & Check-out was easy, no issues there. You can just take a 2 min walk and you will find the lake and a beautiful park/green area, that was nice.

There was a bit of a weird smell around the hotel building, not sure what it was. The room, as I said, was a decent size, but the privacy with toilette and room is not enough, if you worry about that, the walls were very, very thin and also no lock. I didn't like I received so so so many notifications from the hotel, to add data, to add contact details and stuff (I think it was for the COVID regulations, but I did it once, and it kept sending me reminders to do it and emails). And the room felt a bit dirty, found a couple of hairs in the bed since the moment we entered the room.

Location is next to the lake and the bus station which takes you everywhere, staff were very helpful and coopreative specially Jana. They provide you with tickets that have discounts for attractions in Thun. Housekeeping comes every day and they do a really good job. Spacious rooms.

Pillows are a bit uncomfortable. Inscets and bees get inside rooms during summer. No Ac neither fans. Noisy if you open the windows during the day but quite at night.

The hotel lies in a quiet area just outside Thun. Very well served by public transport. You also receive a Panorama Card, with which you can use buses free of charge for all the days you’re staying at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helping. They allowed us to check-in 5 hours before the actual check-in time and to store our luggages for some hours after our check-out free of charge.

The rooms are really nice - we stayed with some friends and each had different rooms, with different topics and interesting stuff. The bed was very comfortable, rooms were very clean, with everything you would need. They have an inside parking (additional fee) and you can also rent the paddle boards from the hotel which for us was very convenient. The lake is only 3 minutes away and there is a nice 20 minutes walk to the city center. You could also ask for buss tickets in case you want to have those at hand. The staff was very helpful as well.

We had the office room so the fact that the sink was not in the bathroom (but in the room) was not that great. Also, for breakfast, even if I appreciated the local cheese, the food was not that diverse and I did not find it had value for money. I did not like that you could not find one single selection of yogurt which did not have sugar.

very modern, clean , warm and great stuff people in the reception also there is a late self check-in . there is a private underground garage (with extra cost) . some rooms shower design has a glass window (nice for couples and honeymooners) but might not be the best if you are with just friends 😉

it’s a bit far from the nice locations and transportation frequency is low but the bus stops by the hotel entrance

This hotel was a very nice surprise, with its distinctive room design. Initially we were a little taken aback by the big glass wall between the shower and the bedroom, but then we really enjoyed our stay. We also appreciated the underground parking, very convenient. The breakfast was very good too. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is not quite central, but it is close to the lake, which is nice.

Very nice design an the concept!! The location is perfect, 5 min. walking distance from the lake and 15 min. walk to the city centre on the border of the lake/bay. The dining area has a terrace. The bed and matlass are very comfortable! It is pet friendly which is a very nice surprise. The garage in the in basement with the direct access to the hotel.

We were not convinced by the transparent window between the bathroom and the room. Coffee should improve. We had a ground floor apartment, therefore we hope that the garden and some exterior furniture are coming soon :)

Great place, great surroundings, very quiet. very nice room. Staff is very polite, they do a fantastic job. Much attention even to small details. All our wishes were fulfilled. Dog friendly.
