The Isla

Everything was pretty great! It was a little expensive for the area. But it was by far the nicest place to stay.

There is one pet friendly room. Both full days we were there the guests from those rooms had their dogs in the pool area. One was letting their dog swim in the pool and the other had a very lively dog that made it hard to move around the pool area without getting jumped on. I’m not sure if the hotel expects that guests will do this. Perhaps either be clearer that this is not allowed or clearer to other guests that they need to share common areas with dogs. For the price it probably should be expected that you don’t need to share the small relaxing area with dogs!

The site is positioned close to shops and just a couple of minutes walk. The room is a modern, boutique style with great bathroom, comfy bed and decent TV screen. Pool area and room at the rear of property is a great feature and the room with vending machine drinks is also a good innovation. The room itself was smaller than I had expected, however, for a solo traveller it was most adequate. The fridge was tiny and my only issue really: something larger would be far more beneficial and practical. I spoke with Kathy (apologies if incorrect spelling) who was brilliant and handled my booking, information and post-check out details.

I believe one of the best motels in Batemans Bay. Modern, clean, with all the amenities required. A little pool at the back, good for little kids. The bathrooms are good too with nice water pressure. There is no mini bar, but a vending machine that offers anything from condoms to non-alco beer! Just beware that there are no printed receipts out of it (if you're a business traveler). Beds were comfy, coffee pods amazing, and they even provide beach slippers! Beach is right across the road (cross with caution as its two way traffic). There is a nice restaurant called Zero Bar and Grill 100m to the right, that service great food as well. For breakfast, I usually head to Alfresco coffee a few km's near the new bridge. Best in the area.

Maybe include a small reading chair for the corner instead of the bench in some rooms, as benches might prove uneasy for people with back pain!

Loved the renovation, very cool little motel to stay at, Location was good and little touches with amenities very much appreciated.

The shower was too small and poorly designed for the size of the rain shower so when you did shower most of the bathroom floor got completely wet which made it awkward to keep dry when you came out. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

The Isla is a modern looking place, we enjoyed the pod coffees provided it was a nice extra touch. Cass provided a very friendly welcome and additional assistance when needed. The shower was fantastic, in fact the best shower I had in 3 weeks of travelling NSW and Qld coast.

It was handy having an EV charger on the premises, however most places we stayed provided free overnight charging and the charging was at 60c/kwh which is the same price as a supercharger

What a beautiful motel. From the gorgeous landscaping and frangipani flowers to the decicious coffee pods, fabulous shower, super comfy bed and pillows, lovely glassware, coffee machine, gorgeous toiletries, large bath sheets plus beach towels. Let's also not forget the beautiful colour palette and funky decor, the location close to the sea, yummy cafes etc. PLUS a fabulously landscaped, modern and stylish pool and outdoor/indoor pool room. I was so impressed!

The best motel room we have ever had. Beautifully furnished with excellent decor. The bed was absolutely perfect with great pillows and doona. Large Samsung TV with easy to use streaming facility. Great products for shower that was excellent. Worth that little bit extra for a wonderful stay!

This is a great motel, it doesn’t have reception so you book online and all details are sent through on text or email, was easy to use so no problem unless your not tech savvy at all!

The room was clean and spacious and very beautiful. The location is perfect. It is just across the beach and just a little further away from the central city so it's not too busy. I was only travelling for work but I would stay here for a personal holiday the next time I come to Batemans Bay.

Just nitpicking, the shower only had one glass wall so a lot of water would splash out if you're not careful.

bit of a water view. Comfortable bed. close proximity to shops. well laid out. key pad entry to room, didnt matter if we'd misplaced an entry card. Towels and thongs for use if we had used the pool was thoughtful.

wasnt wrapt in pillow but I only prefer memory foam pillows, so I'm hard to please with pillows. Needed a shower curtain or screen door on shower.

Wonderfully designed room and high quality finishes. Excellent communal area, pool and cantina!

There was a quite loud noise coming from the ceiling (a piping, heat pump, unsure...) that intermittently went off during the night. Might be worth looking at... Shower design also not the best given how much water went everywhere. Request a room to back of the property to minimise road noise
