Batemans Bay Lodge

This was a great spot for a 1 night stay. We were passing through Batemans Bay & I have a large vehicle, so parking can be difficult. But the carpark here is HUGE & you can easily park directly outside your room, which was great for unloading & easy access into the room. Room was large & comfortable with a couch & comfy bed, little mini bar with tea/coffee/cookies, it was a nice touch. Bathroom is a bit older style but clean & comfortable & steaming hot water so that was fantastic. Reception staff stayed til 7pm so we got there just before they finished so that was also very handy. Easy checkout in the morning, the location is opposite the Clyde river, so it's perfect if you have a bit more time to explore the area. You can walk to the water, walk to the shops, just a really nice spot to stay.

The location was brilliant, the staff were friendly, the on-site cafe/restaurant had delicious food and, though this won't appeal to everyone, there was a little jetty into the Clyde River at the back of the property where I was able to catch a decent sized fish!

The bathroom had one of those rainfall shower heads which I hate because it's almost impossible not to get your hair wet with those things. There was also a really overpowering smell in the room, probably from a cleaning product I guess, which we found quite unpleasant and had to sleep with all the windows wide open.

We booked the suit with river and ocean view for the weekend and it was a great place to stay. We were greeted by a friendly smile and fast check in. The suit was roomy, the furniture was like new and the bed was very confortable with a wall in shower and the balcony give the opportunity to walk out of the suit and enjoy the amazing view from the park, river and ocean view. We highly recommended to stay at the Batemanbay Bay Lodge as we literally booked a table to the restaurant on the other side of the Lodge with a staff who was getting ready the outdoor tables in the balcony. We love the Lodge and we can’t wait to book again soon!!

location was fantastic and the hotel staff were welcoming. Beds were comfy. Our apartment had its own under cover parking space which was great.

Our apartment was under the cafe which was very noisy waking us at 6am with chairs dragging and milk crates being thrown down the stairs next to our windows etc. We didn’t get our apartment serviced on the Sunday so ran out of toilet paper and had our bin overflowing. Not sure if it is policy maybe not to service rooms on a Sunday which is fine but we weren’t told that and if that’s the case the basics should have been topped up well on the Saturday as we stayed for three nights.

Location great.

We are seasoned travellers and these days all travellers have mobile phones,laptops, maybe even hearing aids etc all of which require a suitable surface to put them on and a convenient power point(s) to plug into. None of these were in our room an we had to find a pp near floor level beside the bed. The bathroom was totally lacking in hooks for whatever and a very limited towel hanging facility. Surfaces to lay out cosmetics, shavers and etc also minimal. We realize to remedy most if not all of these thoughts would require expensive retro fitting so probably willl not happen until the next serious makeover but maybe other rooms in the complex have better amenity.

The whole lodge in and out is very clean and tidy. Plenty of parking area, great outside lounge area overlooking the mangove at the rear, even has its own small jetty. Room was a nice size and functional, bed comfortable. Great location almost under the new Batemans Bay bridge right at the boat ramp, easy access to the waterside walk up to the main street. Oh and the staff, coffee (of which I am fussy), food, and outlook over the river at the upstairs cafe is brilliant. Will stay again for sure.

A mirror in the main room other than just the bathroom would be great.

Fantastic room with plenty of space and everything we needed to cook for ourselves and a room for everyone with great beds. So clean and comfortable. Amazing location! Lovely vibe and feel about the whole property.

Unfortunately our room was under the cafe which was no fault of the property but was not explained on booking.com. It was very noisy and loud from 6am but we were out most of the day. Shower not very good.

Great location!

Room was close to the cafe. On a Friday night, loud music and talking could be heard until very late. The cafe opens at 6.30am - again, music was playing early. I understand "no smoking" rooms but this whole property is "no smoking" which meant I had to walk across the road. Would it really matter if I was standing in the car park to have a cigarette??? No-one was at reception at around 9am on Saturday morning - if they were, I would have given this review directly to them.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions over the years. It is now under new management but still maintains its quality. Really enjoy staying here, room always clean and maintained with room cleaned each day. Location is great and the new management have done a wonderful job of the surrounds. The on site cafe is well worth a visit and it is a nice and relaxing walk into the retail area of Batemans Bay. Top spot in Batemans Bay.

Nothing to criticize

We just spent the one Saturday night there and couldn't have been happier. We have 3 young kids, so we had a conjoined room which suited us perfectly. The hotel is an old style one, but the rooms are a good size and have just been refurbished. The location is fantastic, being on the main street, just a short stroll from the restaurants and shops but at the quiet end of the street. Staff were fantastic and helpful. We accidently left late and they were great about it. Will stay there next time.

The pool was too cold for us but we did have it to ourselves.
