Gundagai Gabriel Motor Inn

Clean. Good bench space. Good location for local hotels and walking the historic main street. Quiet at night. Split system warmed the room well. Blinds as well as blackout curtains kept the room dark for sleeping. Crockery and cutlery supplied for making breakfast. Parking outside the door. Manager seemed nice.

Internet slow but used my own data for streaming so not a problem. Would be good to have Netflix.No microwave but that wasn't a problem for us this time. Could do with some drawers for clothes, but ok for a 1 night stay.

After leaving Gundagai we realized we'd left a couple of small items of clothing in the cupboard in our room. We were disappointed but thought it worth a try so we phoned the manager and were told these had been picked up and were now in his office. The end result was that he took us on trust and offered to post them to our home address in Adelaide on the understanding we would cover costs which we gratefully did when they arrived shortly after we arrived home. Thanks again.

Location, convenience, new, neat, clean.

The air conditioners, 1 remote for both aircon machines in separate rooms in family room which would change settings in other room. settings only go from -6 - 6. ended up overheating room as thinking it was being set to 4 degrees like a fridge. ended up being very hot. And wi-fi would not connect for tv.

Very clean, walk next door to woollies. Spacious rooms, comfy beds & modern bathrooms. Was so good on the trip north, we booked again on our return south.

Great to have use of a microwave but would have been better in the unit rather than standing in the carpark at night in winter

Location is excellent and within walking distance to the town centre, hotel is a good dinner option. Room and bed was comfortable for an overnight stay and nice to have real milk available for tea and coffee.

Garbage collection occurs around 7am and you can hear the truck collecting (on Tuesday) but no big deal really.

Great location, very close to a great coffee shop and a pub and all the other things the Main Street of town has to offer. Very quiet in our room at the back of the property. Staying over on way back to Melbourne having staying at 4 or 5 star hotels along the NSW coast, this motel was perhaps the cleanest of all the properties we stayed.

I’m quite short, well, really short and to reach the coffee/sugar and electric jug I had to climb on a kitchen chair, not good when you’re elderly. Lesson learned, on my next stay I’ll request the items be placed on the bench before I arrive

Gundagai is a wonderful place..many motels..all full.

The Gabriel is an old motel with a more modern front set of units. Even though we booked months before, we were in the bleachers..The hedges at the motel were noticeable for their being very unsightly..not trimmed..a shame.

The room was generally clean and tidy and comfortable. The value was commensurate with the amount paid for the room.

The room had a sandwich left in the fridge and someone else's phone charger which raises questions about how thoroughly it was cleaned - although there was nothing else concerning about the level of cleanliness.

Only thing I can think of carpets are dirty but I guess they need a break in guest to have time to clean them and wait them to dry
