The Rooms Milton

Was a wonderful stay, a perfect location and right above Dangerous Ales. We opted for the shared bathroom which was better than expected, the two rooms that share it still have their own toilet and shower. Check in was contactless with the pin code messaged to us.

We think the carpet must have been cleaned recently and not left to dry properly as there was a damp wet smell in the hallway, a box fan would have been great in the cold to have helped that dry out. Coming from the country and being above the main road it was a bit noisier than we are used to but not an issue at all. The light above our shower did not work and was filled with mould so likely needs a replacement.

Excellent communication and seamless after hours check-in, lovely welcome letter and introduction to The Rooms, understated but thoughtfully furnished on trend apartment championing local and sustainable furniture makers, high end linens and toiletries, amazingly comfortable bed, a very homely and almost romantic feel with healthy indoor plants and cold water waiting in the fridge, and surprisingly very quiet even though above a pub and on a main intersection. Very sad to have only stayed and enjoyed one night and will definitely recommend and stay here again in the future. Thank you!

A longer stay would have been enjoyable, to experience the fabulous location, high end eateries, brewery, beaches and town, a true hidden gem.... There's nothing I could suggest to improve.

The Rooms Milton had a fantastic location, right in the middle of town and easy to access. The hotel has been recently renovated and the amenities are all very beautiful and sourced locally. The rooms are clean and spacious and also nicely styled. The hotel was above a pub that served wonderful quality meals and there are numerous cafes at your doorstep. We had a wonderful stay and our room comfortably fitted our family of four with small children.

The parking was mainly street parking - but there was always some close by and there is a drop off bay in the hotel so that you aren't carrying your luggage huge distances.

Location was in the middle of town which was perfect! It felt like a modern hotel room, with a lovely bathroom and great lighting. Rooms are on the smaller side but it was zero issue to us - we think the room was fantastic :) Check-in was self-service with a code, everything was seamless.

We somehow had no idea that we were going to be on top of a pub. So after driving 3-4 hours and being absolutely exhausted, the noise from the pub in the arvo wasn't great. However we were very pleased to return after our event to complete silence, was not expecting that at all!

The rooms at Milton offered delightful fresh accommodation but had a stairway to access the rooms and parking was not adjacent. The accommodation itself was excellent and considering it overlooked the main road through the town was not noisy but a muffled traffic rumble was discernible. Suggestions for dining were exemplary and being in the Main Street we were proximate to an array of shopping. I would recommend this accommodation to fit travellers but warn that it is not suitable for the less mobile . Delightful

Description of access and parking could have been better described as we were older travellers.

The room was very well presented and comfortable. I arrived late so bought some dinner in with me and I was so glad to find crockery and cutlery for me to use as I hadn’t grabbed any from the supermarket. The bathroom was nice and clean and the toiletries smelt lovely. The bed was so comfy too and the blinds were nice and dark so I wasn’t awake with the sparrows 😂

The bathroom smelt a touch damp, most likely due to the wet weather.

We made the booking about an hour before arriving in Milton and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful boutique hotel and it’s charming historic atmosphere. The rooms were the perfect size and had just enough amenities for an exceptionally comfortable stay without crowding the fairly narrow room. Initially my partner and I were hesitant about a shared bathroom but it was perfectly clean and each toilet and shower was segmented for the 2 rooms. I wouldn't have any concerns staying in the same room again.

The beds were extremely comfortable but all the pillows were very high profile which made it difficult for a stomach sleeper like me to fall asleep. Then again we booked last minute, I’m sure if this had been requested earlier it would have been addressed before we arrived.

The newly renovated rooms were nice and comfortable. Perfect for our needs. Communication from the owners was good.

Keep in mind that you will need to use on-street parking. Fortunately it should not be difficult unless it's a really busy night in the village. Just across the road worked well for us. The owners warned us beforehand of the band playing in the pub downstairs on the Saturday night. Still didn't expect it to reverberate so loudly into the room. They finished up by 11pm and it was all very peaceful after that. So if your stay coincides with the pub band night plan to stay out late or, better-still, join them downstairs for some 'Dangerous Ales'.

We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite with kitchenette, the corner room, which was lovely - pity we were only staying one night and didn’t really utilise the comfy lounge room. The furnishings were all simple, sustainable and high quality. We ate a very good dinner in the hotel downstairs (a separate business), had a dance there, then went around the corner for live music at the Star Hotel as well. What an unexpected fun Friday night in Milton.

very clean, newly renovated, still has character, cleaner was very good and helpful. Very nice plates supplied. Decor and ambience was perfect.

room was a bit hot and airless, the ceiling fan helped. No tap in the room. Had to fill kettle in the bathroom. Access to a microwave would have been useful.
