Horizon Holiday Apartments

Location suited us very well, close to Narooma Plaza for supplies, walking distance to Caseys Cafe for good breakfasts, coffee and great views, Sip and Bend Gym bar/cafe for best coffee we had in Narooma, Bermagui and Candelo, and Narooma Kinema for movies. Cheaper room overlooking road and Princes Highway was well insulated from road noise. Liked the light coming in the floor to ceiling windows, the furnishings and decor in the apartment, in particular the art - signed linocut prints and drawing. Long-term residents with plants on balconies and bird-feeders added a nice sense of community. Allotted, numbered, parking space an added bonus for returning from evening outings.

we were upgraded from a lower level 1-bedroom apartment to top level with the best ocean view. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed, including a balcony. The pool was clean (but cold) The bed was comfortable. Great location within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The manager Narelle and her husband are friendly and very helpful. Great place to stay.

A washing machine and a dryer in the apartment would be great but I also understand that there wouldn't be space for it. The token for the washing machine and the dryer are a bit expensive and one wash/dry load does cost $10 which does add up. And one thing which is not bad but it would be lovely to have some friendly or fun colours in the pool area, it just looks a bit sad (except for the blue pool)

Comfortable bed (no choice of linen other than a doona) and the room was very clean. Had most items of equipment to allow a self-catering stay. Nice view from large balcony. Overall size of apartment was adequate.

Parking was far from room, inadequate (none) instructions on operating induction hotplates and a call for assistance was unanswered, making cooking breakfast rather difficult! Lighting in the unit was very poor, particularly in the bathroom, and a very low overhang over the basin meant I had to crouch to shave ( I am tall but not that tall)! The two-person couch was uncomfortable and there were no extra chairs for visitors. I had asked well before arriving if there were any facilities for charging my electric vehicle but did not receive a reply meaning I had to take an ICE vehicle on the long drive (not very eco-friendly). Shortage of power points necessitating the use of power boards.

We liked the location & having an apartment we could stay in & cook or go out to eat! An easy walk to local cafes (Caseys just down the road has excellent coffee & homemade goodies) Easy walk to local beach. A slight hill on the way back. They also have a private pool for cooling off at the end of the day.

The unit we stayed in faced east (As most do) & we got the hot morning sun. The curtains were not sun blocking & the heat penetrated into the rooms especially the bedroom. Only one aircondioner in the living room & didn't really make a difference in the bedroom so it became quite warm.

Good spot with knowledgeable staff, friendly welcome pack giving hints to the local area. Also early emails on activities in the narooma region. Room was clean and well sized.

Property lighting - external to unit was on all night and shone through window of only bedroom making it difficult to sleep. Had to empty rubbish bin after short 2 night stay, slightly expensive (but that might just be me).

The location was perfect, walking distance to all sorts of restaurants, cafes and shops. and just short drives to the lakes and other local attractions, staff on reception desk were incredibly helpful with information for there town, the view of the ocean and Montague island from our top floor apartment was beautiful, we will certainly be staying at Horizon Apartment's again.

Unfortunately the king bed in the unit was very hard and had a major lump right through the middle where the two bed mattresses joined,( a little awkward and uncomfortable when your on your honeymoon.)

The room/furnishings could do with a little refresh but it was very comfortable and obviously kept to a high standard of cleanliness. It had a modern kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment and utensils. The bed was surprisingly good for an afordable stay! We were greeted on our arrival by a lovely, professional person who had lots of great tips and recommendations for the local area. Without their knowledge we would have missed seeing the local seals! Checking in and out was a very simple process with plenty of guidelines and information provided.

Parking spaces are a little tight. Other guests seemed to think parking on the line of the space was appropriate. Very unfair to other guests who then cannot use their own parking space assigned to their room...... I'm sure if we reported this to reception it would have been handled, but we didn't see the point in causing a fuss as we were leaving in the morning. There was no exhaust fan or locks on the bathroom door but it was easy enough to open the windows for ventilation. Being on the top floor meant there was no privacy issue showering with the window ajar, cannot speak about downstairs rooms though.

Great location for travellers less than 10 minutes walk from the beach and boardwalk walking trail.The room was clean and tidy and ideal for travellers who want a secure comfortable place to stay while sending the day in and around the Far South Coast.ocean views to die for. The off street parking is an added bonus.

Unloading bags from the top road is hit and miss with spaces at a premium. The off road parking is accessible via lots of steps and not for those who are a little unfit. Better to wait till on road becomes available.

A perfect little apartment for a family of 3, very comfy, it was great to have a full kitchen, everything easy to use, lots of information available for guests. The location was fantastic, you are walking distance from the beach and the marina on the other side and the main strip of shops are only minutes away, you can access everything you need by foot including the shopping centre. Best of all, we had a lovely balcony with views of the water.

Husband would have liked a larger chopping board. It's not flash but definitely a great place for the price paid. Mattress on the sofa lounge was a bit lumpy.

Terry & Narelle were welcoming & cheerful hosts who provided heaps of information about local attractions. We had a 1BR ocean-facing apartment. The view across the tree line to Montague Island from the huge balcony that stretched across both the bedroom and living areas was fabulous and we loved waking up to the glorious sunrises each morning. The main bedroom was excellent with a large & comfy bed, good quality bedlinen & towels and a generous sized wardrobe. The kitchen had everything we needed and lounge/dining area was spacious. It was easy to walk to the town and close to the beach. Even though it’s on the Princes Highway it was a really quiet place to stay and we couldn’t hear any traffic at all. There is good off-street parking, and our apartment on the middle level was also accessible by a ramp from the main street which was great. Great value for money & highly recommended.

Perhaps there could have been a few more hooks in the bathroom, and the addition of flyscreen sliding doors would make it perfect.
