The hotel surprised me. I didn't know what to expect but the room was great. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. The kitchen and lounge was a nice feature where you could chill with a wine and a book or breakfast in the morning. The pub is good. A no nonsense Aussie pub with nice staff. For the price you pay it's a great find.

Ok, so splitting hairs (especially at the price) but I'd have preferred different pillows but to expect a choice of pillows isn't going to happen at this price point. There is some roadwork on the street so if you were in a room next to that it might be annoying but that would be my only watch out.

As guests hailing from the tropical region, we found the room to be perfectly cozy with the cooler climate of the area. The quiet atmosphere of the rooms and the amicable staff made for a very comfortable stay. In addition to this, the immaculate cleanliness of the premises and its prime location were definite bonuses. Being close to a cafe that provided exceptional coffee and a serene park that offered a relaxing ambience was one of the highlights of our visit. The food at the hotel's pub was incredibly delicious and the welcoming nature of the patrons truly made our experience unforgettable. We were particularly impressed by the soundproofing of the rooms which resulted in us sleeping soundly every night.

excellent value accommodation in an area where good affordable rooms are not easy to find. The rooms vary in size so you get what you pay for - but the decor and modern bathrooms are of the same quality and vintage whichever rooms you choose (at least from our experience of staying a couple of times) Very comfortable beds, and there is a communal kitchen and lounge if you want a simple breakfast or a sofa to stretch out on. We have found parking in the surrounding streets easy to find if you are checking in later in the day, where there is time restricted parking 8.30am to 6pm. Check in is at the bar downstairs. Nice 15 min stroll to Crows Nest where there are heaps of good value eating spots as well.

The staff were amazing (sorry didn't get their names) and I was shown around the floor on arrival. The shared bathrooms were really clean and the room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet, too. The sitting area off the kitchen felt homely. I was very impressed, particularly for a pub stay with shared bathroom.

I don't know the area well to know about the location.. otherwise, it was great. If I had to be critical, it's odd that the air-conditioning is controlled centrally, but it didn't bother me, and it was explained when I arrived. I would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend! Nice clean rooms. Great location. Friendly staff. Very quiet through the night. Black nds kept the sun out at daybreak really well. We were in Sydney to meet friends when vivid was on so options were limited and decided to try Nth Sydney. The pub was great to get in and out of the city. 7 minutes on bus there (stop opposite the pub) and 2 stops on the train plus a 15 minute walk up a mile incline. Good breakfast of toast and cereal included. If there is a local football game at night and you want to be in bed at 8pm might not be good. There was an afternoon game just finished and pub full when we arrived and you could just hear murmured voices from our room. We had an ensuite room with a lovely shower. Lighting for makeup wasn't fantastic though.. The shared bathroom for the basic room option looked very clean and well appointed, and also had an extra seperate toilet.

Being very picky was instant coffee for breakfast however cafe's close by

I loved the accommodation's aesthetics, the shared kitchen set-up, the vibe and the cleanliness. I loved the menu options downstairs in the pub too.

The parking that I had booked and paid for was non-existent. This caused me to have to park in Artarmon and catch a train back!! This was really annoying and inconvenient, particularly as it was raining. If I had known there was no parking I would have travelled by train to Nth Sydney instead of driving. The hotel happily refunded me the parking costs I had paid, however and I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others.

The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well appointed. Gorgeous ensuite! The staff were very welcoming and informative. The breakfast area had everything and was also very clean. There is a beautiful bright and cosy guest lounge as well. The hotel has been tastefully styled and has a lovely ambiance. I was extremely impressed and will always make sure I stay here on my frequent visits to Sydney. Unbeatable central location yet quiet.

I honestly couldn’t fault anything in this hidden gem!

The rooms are exceptional. Comfortable and large enough to have a chair so you don't have to sit on bed all the time. I travel for work often and whilst this trip was not a work trip I was concerned about booking this hotel for a work trip when there is no desk in a room for working at. Otherwise when travelling with family it is great to have the common room and the terrace to all spread out on/in

Rooms have very small bins - we ordered in and couldn't use common room as a lady with her baby had taken up whole table with all their bags. The room had no bin for our waste.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. My mum came to Sydney to meet her very first grandchild for the first time... I meant to stay here with her too but mainly only my mum stayed here. She couldn't be happier with this hotel with great breakfast, customer service and gorgeous room☺️ Beautiful Helen and other staff were always kind and helpful indeed entire time! My mum especially loved her room with full of morning sunshine coming in and the stunning park view through the window. She said she would always want to stay here whenever she visits Sydney. Thank you so much again Helen and all the staff!

The location was great, easy access to local area and Sydney. The rooms were reasonable size with good size en-suite shower room. The breakfast facilities were okay and whilst there was limited choice it was plentiful. Nice touch as it was Easter were hot cross buns and mini chocolate eggs. It was great to go down to the bar for a drink or food staff always friendly. Overall, it was good value compared to a lot of other hotels in that part of Sydney
