Peter Allen Motor Inn

I stayed for a 0700 meeting in Tenterfield so I wouldn't have to run up the hill at 0400. This is only the second time I've stayed in Tenterfield since 2019 and is still one of my favourite places to visit. The motel staff were very friendly, the bed was comfortable. The heating was great and warmed up the room very quickly. I will be staying here again if I need to visit Tenterfield overnight again.

WiFi was very slow. A friend and I were trying to watch a show on their iPad and every 2 minutes it would stop to buffer. That is really the only complaint I could make, apart from that tiny first world problem, the rooms are good value for money, clean and safe.

Neat, extremely clean, friendly & prompt service. This motel gave us complete privacy, comfort and reliability. As someone who knows Tenterfield I couldn’t recommend a better place to tuck in for an affordable and comfortable stay. Very well recommended, from a 23 year old who works in the hotel industry in Brisbane.

We enjoyed so much staying in Tenterfield and at the Peter Allan we booked a 2nd night ! Room was large, with all the usual amenities provided. In a quiet location at the rear of the motel. Only annoyance was a loud A/C but appreciated that it kept the room warm in the chilly weather. Location was in the main street and retailers etc were just a short walk down the road with Coles directly opposite. Luke [Manager] was helpful in extending our stay to a 2nd night at short notice.

Great location, handy to pop across to Coles, cut through the pub for an evening feed and the cafe for good coffee in the morning. Motorbike friendly, lovely staff, well needed heater, hot powerful shower and the electric blankets were all greatly appreciated after a long ever increasingly cold ride to get there..🥶

There was nothing I didn’t like.

The hotel was conveniently located in the main street close to shops.The room was quiet, very clean and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets as it was a cool night. It looked like the carpet in our room had only recently been updated. parking is right outside your door with the majority of the car undercover. in addition to the shower in our room was a large claw footed bath for those who like to soak.

The room lighting was quite dull.

Very friendly, approachable owners; motel is in the centre of town; very clean; surprisingly quiet at night considering you are on a main road; owners were happy for my grandchildren to visit even though they were a bit noisy.

The window screen was broken and air conditioning remote was flat. These were only minor problems and the owners appear to be upgrading items in rooms so I am sure they will be fixing these.

The location was great, close to shops over the road from Coles supermarket, reception was friendly and courteous, room was very clean, had everything we needed, it was warm, quiet, clean and comfortable. To top it off our car was under cover! What else could you ask for!

Location was excellent. Room spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful in providing information about dining. Bed was comfortable, electric blanket was very nice. The bathroom facilities were more than adequate and easy to use.

Nothing really. The air conditioner is probably approaching the end of its days!

I liked all of the facility, the location and the staff member I delt with was very friendly and helpful

The only thing I didn't like was not to do with the establishment but the early morning truck noise. I guess this is something you get with the convenience of being close to everything.

Best hotel for value, friendly staff, and convenience.

This isn't the first stay at the Peter Allan. Each time my wife and I have visited we are always impressed as it is old-school hospitality (something lost in most modern hotels). You are treated as a guest, not an income.
