Catalina Motel Lake Macquarie

Purchased breakfast packs from reception, met our needs. Motel close to town, parking at the room. Reasonably quiet location off main road. Reception and other staff friendly and helpful. Compared to some other motels this one was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Overall a pleasant stay and will use again.

Layout of room had2 seater lounge located in a position not facing tv so had to recline on bed if viewing it a minor issue as not spending much time in the room

I especially liked the kitchenette, fully equipped, clean and organised. The bed was comfortable, though I thought the pillows and decorative cushion could be updated in style. I also liked that the establishment was set back from the busy road, and that the room was quiet and peaceful. Thank you.

My shower fitting was a bit wonky. It squeaked and groaned as I moved it into place. The water pressure was not perfect. Perhaps the fitting needs to be updated.

Room is clean and tidy. Nice space for the family of four. would like to come back again in the future. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is very good with near by Coles and the cafe with beach view.

frankly speaking that I did found a small dead bug behind the soap container. if someone is smoking outside, the smell would come to inside the room even the door and windows are all closed.

I liked that there was a toaster and a microwave in the room. It made our stay cheaper to have some meals in our room. Loved the massive shower - should get a shower head to match it. Bed was comfy and soft. Just need some power points near the bed. The manager (we met) was lovely and polite. Made the check in process so easy too.

Clean, comfy bed, water pressure in the shower was amazing. The grounds are spacious and well kept, pool looked inviting. Staff were friendly and the motel is walking distance to town.

Not the hotels fault but don't expect a taxi to arrive from 13CABS, use Uber.

This place was great for the price. A really clean and quiet place for a quick stay on the drive through. They were friendly and let us check in early because we arrived early and need to put things in the fridge. I usually find these type of places smell like cigarettes, but was happy to find this one did not. It is close to a fairly busy road but it was not noisy. The beds were so comfortable, my mother and I had the best sleep we have had in ages!

The kitchen sink and the bathroom sink are the same, which I found a bit gross.

After being trapped in the North Coast floods we were looking for a peaceful, comfortable, fresh place for a couple of nights. Catalina met all our needs. a lovely peaceful spot, beautiful clean room, good kitchenette, comfortable bed, laundry on site. Peter was caring and helpful when we had to reschedule, and getting an extra night was no problem. Great places for food nearby. Nice lakeside walks at Toronto and Warner’s Bay. We had a great break.

Obliging to change rooms as my sister arrived and we needed two single beds. Comfortable beds and very clean everywhere including shower.

Not their fault but wifi was terrible. Some days no internet at all, others it miraculously appeared. I believe there was a problem throughout their area. Also having to use the toilet paper to blow my nose. No tissues anywhere. I do have a deviated septum so its a constant problem for me.

Quiet, comfortable & clean. Reasonable rates. Comfy bed, good shower. Privacy. Air con was quiet.

Parking a bit cluttered with tradie vehicles everywhere. A smoker sat & talked outside our room on the phone, late at night, had to close the window.

quick and easy check in, the facilities were the cleanest we had come across on that particular trip and it was a great place to stop and stay on our way to Sydney from Brisbane.

it was pouring rain when we got there and we got wet getting to the room. but that’s wasn’t the places fault.
