Rio Design Copacabana Hotel

The location of the hotel was perfect. There were many convenient stores and restaurants nearby. The beach was 500 ft away and the swimming pool was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful in giving me the information I needed desperately for the trip.

The safe in the room wasn't working well but I brought my own secure storage so it wasn't really a problem. Overall the trip went pretty smooth! I really appreciated the cleaning staff and how well they did their job.

The location was perfect. It was very close to tje Copacabana and Ipanema Beach. There were just everything around. Bakeries, small shops to buy drinks and food, supermarkets, banks. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Pretty calm as well. The buffet was also quite big. Especially I liked the friendly staff. They helped me in changing my room because I wanted to be placed more up and they helped me organizing my private tours. And they helped me with small things. Very, very nice and excellent service.

For my taste the coffee could be better.

The location was amazing, just steps from Copacabana beach. The breakfast also exceeded my expectations. Overall the room was clean but super basic, but the staff was friendly and helpful if I needed anything.

Some things I didn't like: - The internet could have been better (but it was free, which was a bonus). - The elevators beep every time they open (and stay open), so basically, there was a high-screeching beeping all day, which was super annoying, especially since I had to work in the mornings. - There was a fee to keep bags (R$20) which I think should be free.

The hotel location is very good, if you want to stay close to the two most well known beach in Rio. There are all kind of facilities at your door step, including public transport. In general the staff were friendly and accommodating. A suggestion it would be for the hotel to extend their room service open hours and expand their menu options. I arrived 9.30pm after a longhaul flight. I expect at least being able to order a sandwich.

I had booked a twin bedroom. When I arrived I was given a double, where I stayed for my first night, this bedroom also had a leak in the toilet. I had to really push for the hotel to change my rooms in my second day. My second room was better than the first but had a problem with the lighting system that couldn't be fixed.

Staff was very very kind, fluent english and spanish. Location is absolutely great: 1 minute walk to Copacabana beach, 10 minute walk to Ipanema beach, near several restaurants, shops and 2 minuto walk to very good supermarket. The rooftop is a very nice spot, better than expected. Breakfast is very good, I enjoyed every single day.

My room was quite outdated, the bathroom was tiny and a little bit smell of humidity, drawers in the closet are urgently needed! However I think this is because I choose the cheapest room, I think some other rooms have been renewed and could be more confortable. However I was pleased with my stay. Thanks!

The Rio Design Hotel is a very conveniently located structure in Copacabana neighborhood: the beach can be reached by just crossing the road. The room was duly furnished and reasonably clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was reasonably varied: I particularly enjoyed the freshly cut tropical fruit (mango, papaya, ananas, mellon...). The staff was friendly and helpful: I could have a room before the official check-in time.

Very good located, 5 min walk to Copacabana beach and 15 min walk to Ipanema beach Brakfast was excellent, lots of fresh fruit and fresh juice, and an abundance of choices for your normal breakfast Staff is ver helpfull, and also speak english

Wifi was hampering Television had only a few channels to choose from. No channel for local news.

I have stayed in many hotels in Rio in the last 6 months - this hotel was definitely the best. Seamless check in, charming, kind and professional staff. I have friends who come through Rio often I will be recommending the hotel. From reception, to night team to housekeeping the staff were very nice and this is what made the place feel very welcoming. I am just sad I only stayed one night =( Looking forward to return!

I guess the hotel lobby looks a bit depressing which does not reflect how nice the rest of hotel is!

Large room with extra larger bed. Very clean and tidy. Good location, 5 minutes walk from Copacabana Beach, leading to Ipanema Beach. Nice breakfast. Good room service. Staff very helpful.

Pool very small but still pleasant. Chairs available. No room service after 5.30 Restaurant only available for breakfast.

Good breakfast, the hotel is really close to the beach, near both copacabana and ipanema beach, staff really polite, good wifi all over the hotel.

Bathroom is really small in standard room, with no fan inside, so there was little humidity near the shower. I did not appreciate that we had to pay to leave the baggages, even if the amount was 20 BR for 2 (small) luggages
