Ritz Copacabana Boutique Hotel

breakfast had many options and was complimentary. the views from the breakfast room were great so all guests were at some point able to enjoy the views of sugarloaf and Copacabana. The location was excellent - near lots of restaurants and cafes and of course, the beach! The room was super clean, and cleaned and restocked well each day during our stay. The staff were excellent - (great English- while not required of them, we appreciated it) they made great recommendations and were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice: bed very comfy and it had a fridge and a coffee machine. The staff was superb, very friendly and always helpful with some recommendations, calling a cab etc. The hotel also organized a tour to a football game, which was incredible. The location is very close to Copacabana beach, and we never felt unsafe in the area. No problem walking around at night (reasonable hours, until 11:30). There's lots of kiosks, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes in walking distance.

I personally don't like bathroom doors made of glass...

Pool area was nice, rooms were very nice also, very comfortable bed. Location is excellent, beach is just across the road, several restaurants are within 5 minutes walk.

Breakfast was ok but the staff were very slow to replenish the food, I came down one day fairly early and there was no bacon left so I asked for some and they said it was finished. There is a wash basin/sink in the bedroom next to the toilet but it didn't have hot water to it so from a hygiene point of view and also for me to have a shave it wasn't ideal. Water pressure for shower was poor.

Perfect location in Copacabana neighborhood, two blocks from the beach. Plenty of stores and restaurants around. Super nice staff, specially Guillherme who took care of us when we arrived very early in the morning. The room was very clean and comfortable, we were staying in the best room with a big balcony and sea view, totally worth the higher price in my opinion. The restaurant has tasty options and the rooftop bar with the pool has an amazing view. The breakfast was really great and plentiful. We speak Portuguese but we could also see staff communicating easily in English (which is always a plus in Brazil).

The only issue I had with the room was the bathroom design. The room has an open bathroom concept, directly into the room. This would be ok if it wasn't for two details: the toilet is enclosed by a glass door and wall which had a big gap on top, there is no privacy there. Similarly, the wall behind the sink had a window which also had a gap, therefore we could hear very clearly all the noises from the street at night.

Perfect views, location and I don’t think I could have chosen a better hotel for the price, so we’ll worth their 4 star value!

My only complaint was the lack of staff in the rooftop pool area and bar. I realise it possibly isn’t busy because people are mainly out and about on copacabana beach, but it really wasn’t acceptable not to have the rooftop area/bar unstaffed! I did make this known to them, as really think it spoiled things a little, so hope they take this onboard!

Wow, this property is amazing! In Rio I changed twice the hotel who were rated 4 stars with a rate of 4.6 on booking.com, but all of the were old, dirty, breakfast very poor… but I am so happy we stayed in Ritz!!!! Ritz is amazing!! Clean, elegant, rich breakfast, nice view, close to the beach, amazing staff… all the best!!! I really enjoyed the stay and this is why i booked one extra night there! 💙💙💙

This is a real 4 ⭐️ hotel! I would event add the S of superior, despite all the others! Nothing bad to say, all the best!

Amazing Modern Hotel, very cleaned, close to the beach with a great staff and a great breakfast!

I liked everything about this hotel, staff, location, cleaning and breakfast. The decorations of the Hotel is simple and modern.

- Brilliant staff, they go above and beyond to try help with any issues! - Location is perfect, right by Coppacabana beach where all the beach bars are and the surrounding area felt very safe even at night

- Breakfast wasn't the best and also lacks in options - Our shower head was fixed very far up the ceiling - Lighting in our room wasn't the best

the hotel is quite small, with only a few rooms per floor. This makes the staff very personable and attentive. The roof bar and pool were empty for our entire stay so it felt like we had our own personal bartender. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced (much cheaper than what you get off the beach vendors) and their pina coladas and Caipirinhas were delicious!

Our room was a bit small, and the neighbouring hotel is a bit of an eyesore.

The location is few meters away from the Copacabana beach, however the neighborhood doesn't look amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was small, but clean and comfy. Food was delicious at their restaurant at the 15th floor, while breakfast could have been more diverse.
