Hotel Maritime

Great breakfast! Nicely furnished throughout and the bed was huge.

Toilet position in the bathroom... practically nose to the wall when sat on it.

The hotel is convenient to anything you want to see in Copenhagen, close to several restaurants and the water. The staff is very nice, particularly the young woman who was working so hard when I stayed there. The room is small and basic but suited my needs during my business trip. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was work on the street right in front of the hotel (below my window). So we were without water for part of my stay and without electricity for the elevator. I feel like the hotel handled it the best way they could. The employee even carried my bag upstairs for me. The water was turned on by the time I needed a shower in the morning. There was a large closet for me to put away my things which I really appreciated. Also, plenty of hangers. The room is not large, especially if you are American. But for Europe, it is pretty standard. It was sufficient for me.

The windows are old and drafty. They don't offer much help for noise and cold air. They should be replaced. Luckily, I'm a warm sleeper so the cold didn't bother me much but if you're not used to the cold in the north, this could bother you. the street is relatively quiet and I was there for work so I had to wake early anyway. But if you're on vacation and want to sleep in, this will be tough unless they replace the windows.

The location was superb, close to Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv. Beds were comfortable for two even if the room was small. I loved that the process of dropping off suitcases before and after checking in/our was so simple and effortless. It enabled us to have a final leisurely day of exploring the nearby areas after checking out.

At night it got real loud with revelers downstairs. I was not expecting that. We would have appreciated a bottle of drinking water to greet us in the room, as is common with all hotel rooms. The shower could have a more effective curtain.

A major thank you to the wonderful staff. Kind, friendly and a level of service unmatched by many of the major actors in the business. A special merci beacoup to the wonderful half French/half Danish that meet me for check-in, trully the standard of my stay was founded then and there!

I'm really trying to find things I didn't like, but it's honestly hard! There was one minor detail, the floor of the shower didn't seem to be that well adjusted for large amounts of water, a short shower of ten minutes resulted in the entire floor getting flooded. With a floor like that, mold is sure to follow.

Fantastic location, everything was clean and fresh and well maintained. Great that we could borrow big umbrellas for a rainy day. Friendly staff.

No hairdryer meant I didn’t wash my hair during the stay and I couldn’t figure out how to light the bedside table lamp in the evening. I also had to carry my bags the first staircase up from the street which hurt my back. Overall very good though.

Perfect location by Nvhavn and very central. Efficient reception. I took a single room that was perfectly adequate for my need.

A mark off for the fact that there was some rubbish (old Coke bottles and other stuff) when I moved the bed and also the shower doesn't drain. These factors don't detract from this being a great place to stay.

Fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from Nyhaven and central for everywhere else. Room was very clean and the beds were so comfy, not much noise from the street so we slept very well. Simple breakfast but beautifully presented and very filling, it was good value for money.

No negatives at all really apart from the shower pressure, it was very very weak.

The hotel has recently been completely renovated and our room was modern, clean and cosy - some of the photos on booking.com are outdated, so don't be fooled! The location was ideal for our short stay, very central but tucked away on a quiet road. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and radiated positivity. Great value for money. The facilities are really fine. You can walk and reach to Nyhavn in 5 mts. Also hotels breakfast is amazing.

I like all the things about the property but in the rooms a little minibar is absolutely needed.

I liked the promptness of staff responding to comments. We had an issue with the heater and they had staff come up in 5min to attend. When it wasn’t solvable they moved us to another room no qualms.

Upon entering the room it emitted an odour that I think was the bathroom drains. The odour could be solved by leaving the window open a crack.
