Comwell H C Andersen Dolce by Wyndham

Good location adjacent to the new village. Comfortable nicely decorated room which had plenty of space for luggage and extremely well equipped. Very clean. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Coffee available all day in the lounge area.

Staff not very helpful. Could not advise on restaurant recommendations near to the hotel. Referred us to to a travel booklet in the lounge but these had run out. Thought we might try the in-house restaurant but told they had run out of food even though there appeared to be no more than 6 diners in the restaurant - it was 8pm!

Overall this is a great hotel. Excellent location close to the town, comfortable, quiet room (we were on the 4th floor, ground floor is next to the street and may be more noisy) with good bed and good shower. Staff were excellent and breakfast was good overall (but see what I didn't like).

There is very little storage space in the rooms for unpacking clothes, especially for 2 people. No drawers, 2 small shelves and only a small hanging rail. There was plenty of space in the room for drawers so why?? Breakfast was good but there wasn't much fresh fruit - there was whole apples but no fresh fruit salad, which I would expect at a hotel of this quality. Also no cappuccino/latte type coffee, only filter coffee which I personally don't like. All small things but all easily fixed and would take it from 8/10 to 10/10!

The breakfast was exceptional with high quality hearty as well as cereals as well as sweet components. Alkaline products like fresh carots and others were part of the choice. Even when the breakfast room was well-frequented, the atmosphere was really comfortable. The sleeping room was very good and the hotel was inside characterized by friendly brick architecture. Over average hotel architecture, indeed. It fits to the prosperous Odense. The hotel was close to the city and to most of touristic spots.

We like that it has a lift so we do not need to lug our heavy luggage around, and a bathtub to relax in. Breakfast was quite a spread for a small hotel restaurant they have. The hotel is also very close to the main museum, about 5 minutes walk away, and not too far from the train station. Staff were friendly.

More information such as the opening hours and the food menu of the restaurant could have been provided in a booklet in the room, instead we had to queue up to inquire such information.

Very nice, big and clean rooms just next to the Anderson’s museum. Very good breakfast, great cereals, pate, pankes (only eggs were poor). All rooms have name of HC Anderson fairy tales names at the door which is kind of cool

We read at some Tripadvisor reviews that it is very hot in summer, but we were in middle of August and we were fine without air conditioning that room lacks. We noticed the hotel provided ventilators instead. Do note that the reception is on 2nd floor although it is ground floor (?!), while we were at the “3rd” but actually 1st floor. We assume staying at the ground floor obviously is not of similar experience as you will probably not open windows overnight as we could. The only thing we missed was king size beds, they explained that as a conference hotel they keep only twin beds

Beautiful hotel, lovely spacious rooms. Nice design and lovely atmosphere all round both in room and communal areas. Located well in the city and close to train station. The staff were all wonderful and super helpful and friendly. Special thanks to the lovely ladies on reception every day who were great (sorry I didn't get their names!). Breakfast was good too. Overall amazing stay, highly recommend.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful with any questions we had and nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was very big and had a nice view. The overall experience of the hotel added to our stay in Odense and made us fall in love with the city. we will definitely be back as the hotel is in a superb location too.

Everything was good but I would've liked a bit more choice for breakfast, specifically cereal/muesli/granola.

The location, the property and the breakfast were all amazing. The location was at the centre from where conveniently one could go to the shopping areas, different cafes and restaurants, lovely natural backwaters and parks and the house and museaum of H C Andersen.

The hotel parking is quite expensive. If you park the car and do not take it out then it is 150 DK for 24 hours which otherwise is 45 DK everytime you take it out (be it for 5 mins or 3 hours). For the hotel inmates it could be less costly.

Great location. Restaurants, sights, town center easy to walk to. Had all amenities I look for other than refrigerator. Room was comfortable and good size.Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Walk from train station to hotel was short, but if you go by HCA house/museum to get there, it’s very uneven cobblestone area, and did not think wheels on luggage would survive it. There is better alternate route and my luggage is old and probably should be replaced. Seemed like lot of restaurants were closed on Sunday night. If hotel restaurant had been open, would have definitely eaten there.

Perfect location in city center and yet it is very quiet. It is clean.

Surprisingly enough there was no facilities I expected to have from such a hotel: no kettle, no mini fridge in the room. For parents of a small child it is essential. To be fair they offered us warm milk for the bottle so service was there just different. There is no ventilation system in the room, only window can be opened. It can be pretty hot during summer.
