Pilot Airport Hotel

The room was clean and bright. Breakfast was amazing! Loved the variety and choices. The staff were super nice. The location from the airport and the airport shuttle service was great...even arriving at 23:15 at night. Close to a bus (max 7 minutes stroll walk) that went straight to the main station/heart of Helsinki. Another max 10 mins walk to mall with food court and entertainment center, or 4 minutes with a bus that stops infront of the hotel. Sauna! Restaurant at the hotel. Just Great!

The room was a bit small if you are two people with a bigger size. But for a single body it is good.

Excellent breakfast, served at a time convenient for people with morning flights, extremely friendly and helpful staff, free shuttle service to the airport, comfortable room, quiet location despite proximity to the airport. Wifi worked well. In response to the bonus question below, I don't expect good views from an airport hotel, so the question isn't really relevant.

Only after I had booked did I find out that the free airport shuttle was limited to certain times of the day. Luckily the times fitted in with my travel plans, but this should be made clearer before booking. No tea or coffee in the rooms.

No free shuttle during the day. When we came to check in, the clerk insisted I had booked two rooms while I knew I had booked only one and I had the proof to show her. She did not believe me and was going to charge me for two rooms because their records showed that I had booked a second room and I had failed to cancel it. I started writing a message to booking.com right away. All of a sudden she abruptly changed her time and said it was the fault of the hotel's reservation system and she had seen it before with a couple of other guests. She wouldn't charge us. But I felt she wouldn't listen to me in the first place. I'm a seasoned experienced traveler and I would not have made such a mistake. However, it's a good hotel with nice amenities.

I booked the hotel because of its proximity to the airport, the shuttle bus that leaves you at the door of the hotel ( at the airport you have to wait at the platform 42-it is a black bus) and breakfast from 3:30 o’clock in the morning so if you have the flight early morning it is a perfect combination. The shuttle bus start to drive to the airport also very early in the morning every 30Min. The wifi works very good I had to work there and had no problems with it. It is a perfect hotel for short stay especially when you take an early flight or a a transfer.

I have no complain. The size of the room could be a bit bigger but for short stay it’s fine.

The hotel is cozy and warm, all those pillows and coaches and greenery, very welcoming feeling. The breakfast was okay, but nothing fancy. Just the simplest of choices, but everything was fresh and tasty. In the evening the restaurant is open until late and offers a good dinner. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was not as quiet as it could be, with people talking outside all the time, still quiet enough to sleep. Everything was clean and nice. There is a shuttle service from and to the airport, quite convenient and fast. I will definitely return when I have a long connection between the flights again. Thank you!

I can highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking for one or couple of nights stay. Room was tad small, but that was ok and based on previous reviews I read, I knew what to expect. Bed was extremely comfy and hotel was nice and quiet. They start early breakfast at 3.30 and it is very handy for those whose flight is early. Shuttle bus service worked very well and is very convenient way to get in and out of the airport. Staff is really lovely and helpful, so I can't fault this hotel at all. I initially booked this hotel for inbound layover, but as I had such a lovely stay, I ended up staying here again on my way back home

This is a convenient airport hotel where they serve Scandinavian-style serve breakfast from very early in the morning. Airport shuttle works in early mornings and evenings. In the morning I missed my airport shuttle because I was told they operate until 0800 (with a 30 mins interval) and I had booked a place on the last one. I showed up a few minutes before 0800, but then it turned out that the last shuttle was in fact 0755 and had just left. This was not my fault, the information had been imprecise, but the hotel staff called the shuttle back for me and I made it to the airport on time. I was very happy for this.

Having stayed there several times, I can confirm the experience is very consisted. Rooms are clean, and quiet. Beds are rather narrow but comfortable. Breakfast is simple but with enough options to choose from. Snacks and drinks can be bought at the reception. The hotel has its own shuttle service. If you don't want to wait, you can also reach the hotel (or the airport) by the city bus (also late at night). If you're travelling with a lot of luggage, note that rooms are small!

The Pilot Airport Hotel was a great place to stay overnight before taking an early flight from Helsinki Airport the following day. It was conveniently located close to a bus route and a short walk to a large shopping centre. There was a restaurant with a varied menu if you preferred dining in. The early breakfast buffet was excellent and the shuttle bus to the airport was very efficient and convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room was nice and cozy, very small, but it didn't bother while travelling alone. The staff was welcoming and polite.

I missed coffee and tea making possibility in the room, that would have been a good extra. I ate dinner in the restaurant, which tasted very good, but was very boring, because it was a big bowl of risotto which had only lemon juice for test, but nothing else, basically bowl of rice with lemon taste. :)
