Skyline Airport Hotel

The Hotel is close to the Airport and they have a shuttle bus (free of charge) available that takes passagengers from bus platform 42 each 30 minutes. The schedule is not around the clock though - check availability with Hotel in advance but should cover normal operating hours from the airport. If you need a shuttle back from the Hotel to the Airport you need to book it one day in advance at the front desk. So, no need of a Taxi - very convenient. Hotel is modern, clean and comfy. Has of course a small sauna seperated by gender - with opening hours until 10pm. The Hotel Restaurant is really good, as usually they are mediocre at its best and usually overpriced. This one was surprisingly good and reasonable in price. Just alcohol like beer, is overpriced with 8-9€ for a pint. The rooms are small, but comfy and welll organized. As this is an airport hotel it is of course different from a regular place.

The bathroom in the room is really small, so that big / tall people might have some issues, Pillows are too soft and only one per bed. The Sauna does not offer towels, so that you need to bring your own upstairs. There is also no locker room for your stuff, so that you need to leave your clothes / belonglings unattended. Certainly, only hotel guest can enter the Sauna via key, but it is not appropriate to have no lockers. The windows in the room cannot be opened. The AC doesn't work properly - maybe no so necessary in a cold country like Finland but if you can't opend the window and the AC does not its job, then the room gets really stuffy. No Gym available.

breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. near the airport. rooms updated and fresh.

be aware if you have a flight later in the day they DO NOT offer transfer. only until 9am. after that you have to take a taxi at your own expense. this was a really negative thing for us. the taxi was around 16€ to the airport, not that much. but if you are a airport hotel and offers transfer then you do it all the way, not halfway 😏😠 we would not choose this hotel again because of the halfway transfer.

The staff were excellent. Also the food at the restaurant for dinner. Good selection and the burger was delicious I would definitely stay there again. The only thing that definitely needs an update is the gym. I’m a gym person and I travel all over the world it is the worst cared for gym I have been in. Broken cables and benches, weights lying on the floor, very untidy which gave you the impression it wouldn’t be the healthiest environment. Having said that, the hotel is the perfect position for a stopover coming in and going to the airport. I will be back.

Friendly staff, a very comfortable, spacious room (though the bathroom is unnecessarily small), and a generous spread at breakfast.

I booked an "airport hotel" thinking it would be handy for a late-night arriving flight. However, it's a good 5-10 minute taxi ride away from the airport (and no other way of getting there) which cost €15. I could have got the train/bus to a city centre hotel for less. It's a pity the hotel's airport pick-up service had been suspended.

Great location, particularly convenient for early morning departures. Free, 10-minute shuttle ride arrives/departs just across the street from the airport arrivals area (bay 42). Shuttles leave every 30 minutes, but do not run 24 hours. They do cover mid-afternoon (3:00pm) to late night flight arrivals and morning departures from the hotel - starting around 3:00am. Standard double room was spacious and comfortable. Getting to central Helsinki takes 30-40 minutes from a bus stop approximately 400 metres from the hotel (bus #600). Buy tickets at hotel reception for EUR 5.00.

- Gym is pretty poorly equipped and in a poor condition. It has a squat rack, a bench, some dumbbells and some very old machines (probably from the 80s), which are in poor condition. Please, at least add dumbbells from 1-10kg (or adjustable dumbbells) to the gym (not everyone can start with 12.5kg) and fix the machines - Distance from Helsinki city center is a bit far away (about 30-35 minutes by a bus) - Small room, so not much storage space for your luggage and things

Shuttle from the airport was great for our late night flight into Helsinki. The breakfast was delicious and our room had all we needed (hairdryer, electric kettle, comfy bed).

Since we were arriving from a different time zone, the breakfast ended a bit early for us (until 9:30 local time). We arrived very late and would have appreciated a longer sleep in. But it was really delicious and worth getting up for!

Carparking was abysmal. We arrived a bit late to find a dark, unlit full carpark.(We had booked a spot) It was a large area, just gravelled with bumps and dips full of water. The only good news was that the receptionist with a torch helped find a spot for us The entrance area had rubbish and paper scattered about

Comfortable beds and easy access to and from the airport. This said, I could not hear any noise from the airport. The room was much bigger than in their sister hotel. Good breakfast - you can bake your own fresh waffles.

Nothing major. We arrived by bus and tried to find a shortcut to the hotel across the parking lot. There was no 'official' shortcut, so guests with bigger luggage (or reduced mobility) would have to take the longer but more comfortable way around.
