The Hotel is exactly as described on the website. It is a delightful find in the heart of the Latin Quarter. A short walk to Notre Dame and the Seine. We were able to walk to the Luxembourg Gardens, Gardens de Tularies, and the Eiffel Tower in about an hour total. Also easy access to the bus lines and trains made travel very easy when our feet needed a rest. The staff was fantastic and so welcoming. Some spoke English fluently, some brokenly, but between their English and our broken French we were able to get along well. The breakfast buffet in the mornings is wonderful! Coffee, juice , breads and pastries, cheeses and meats, delicious yogurt, etc... a remarkable bargain to start off each day. Right across the street from the hotel is a lovely little market selling very acceptable wine at a VERY reasonable cost, to wind down each evening. When we come back to Paris, this will absolutely be our go to hotel destination!! The rooms are small, yes, but that is Europe. American travelers are used to the relatively gargantuan rooms at Holiday Inn and Hampton Inns ... thats not the European way. The bed was very comfortable, temperature control was good. The bathroom was clean, the hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was good. All in all a very nice stay! Our daughter, who is something of a world traveler for her work, declared this hotel an "incredible value"...one that she will look to stay in on future trips to Paris.

Really, the only negative we can think of, other than the rooms being fairly small...but I addressed that above...is that the bacon on the breakfast bar was basically disgusting. This is not a condemnation of this Hotel...we have been to several cities in Belgium, Italy, France...none of them cook bacon right. It is esssentially raw bacon, slightly warmed up...NOT cooked nice and crispy the way Americans like it. In a word...disgusting...you are eating warm fat...yuck. So...AVOID it. As I said above everything else about the breakfast is outstanding!! So enjoy it!! But...if they could learn to cook bacon right...OH MY!!

Location was fabulous! Close to metro, shops, restaurants, and bakeries. Art deco styling is appealing and fun. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Not all elements in a neighborhood can be controlled- so there were some unhomed people staying on the building stoop/window about 10 feet away from the main entrance. We didn’t want to bother them- so we walked around the block rather than up that part of the street. Small elevator- I barely fit with 2 carry-on suitcases, but the stairs are super cute.

I think the staff is what really makes this hotel shine, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a (very) small elevator, but totally funcional to get you to the room. Wifi here was great, you could stream Netflix without issues. They offer all the free cold still/sparking water and Nespresso coffee in the ground floor and even a small glass bottle in your room to refill all you want. I thought that was a nice touch, not a lot of hotels offer this. The bed was OK, our was a queen.

The breakfast could be a bit better, the bread/yogurt was not very good. Odd for a Parisian hotel! Maybe we just had bad luck.

Very centrally located in the Latin quarter with friendly front desk who accommodated our very late check in with a smile. Convenient for the metro and walkable to the promenade along the Seine. Room was modern and clean. Extra points for allowing us to leave our luggage in reception until the afternoon of our departure after we checked out in the morning. Even more bonus points for the cleaning team bringing a forgotten pair of airpods to reception for us to collect with our luggage in the afternoon!

Room did not have a fridge or coffee making facilities - maybe OK to not have the fridge, but having to go downstairs to get a (admittedly free) self-service coffee in the morning wasn't ideal.

The location was excellent, just a few blocks from Notre Dame, Boulevard St. Germain and right around the corner from award-winning boulangerie Maison D'Isabelle. We walked nearly everywhere but there were also metro stops moments away. The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond for us, from trying to get us into a room early when seeing how tired our children were to storing medication to loaning us a converter plug to charge our cell phones. The beds in our rooms were comfortable and showers had plentiful hot water and good pressure.

Nothing. Everything was great. The room was smallish but larger than many you will find in Europe.

The staff truly made the trip. 2 in particular however I didn’t catch their names! One was I believe an Indian gentleman, he was lovely and helpful! The other had brown hair and spoke English to us, and was super helpful! Staff really made the trip, they gave us advice took the time to help us and went out of their way! I was sick and one took his time (second brown hair gentleman) to get me honey and lemon from the kitchen late at night

We found public transport difficult. But this didn’t really relate to the hotel! The location is close to public transport however we didn’t find it easy to use.

The hotel was small, intimate, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We upgraded to a superior room with a balcony and that was worth the extra. The staff were wonderful and Jude and the front desk and Agnes in the breakfast room were exceptional in their attention and support and service. We would stay here again.

The breakfasts were well done, good selection and served graciously. The only very small adjustment would be to have a little more variety. We were there a week and the breakfasts were the same each day. Even, a small change, in a hot item each day would have added to the experience. Please do not read this as a criticism. If we were to stay here again we would enjoy the breakfasts again. This was more an observation than a criticism.

Hotel Oratio is a vibey boutique hotel located on the Left Bank and close to the buzzy neighborhoods of the Latin Quarter and St Germain Des Pres. The room is tiny, as you'd expect from a Paris hotel, but it was clean and the bathroom was updated with modern fixtures. Coffee is provided in the lobby, which was nice!

As mentioned the room is tiny, with hardly any closet space. Best for light travelers. I think it is still technically located in the Latin Quarter but everywhere we wanted to visit was still about a 7-10 minute walk away, so I wouldn't say it's *super* central to the main drag of restaurants and such.

The location was perfect for a visit to Paris. A very short walk to the Maubert-Mutualité metro station and its open air markets and shops. And Notre Dame suddenly appears out of nowhere as you walk down Rue LaGrange. Very nice! And the Pantheon is right up the hill. This hotel clearly was recently modernized, and the decor is clean, simple and modern. The room was compact as we expected, but it was immaculately and tastefully furnished. There was great atttention to details like electric outlets, lighting and storage. The bed was amazingly comfortable. And the bathroom was a real separate bathroom with a shower with a floor-to-ceiling door. No fog on the mirror! Breakfast was outstanding. To begin, the breakfast room was, like everything else, immaculately done and delightfully decorated. The food was excellent and the server we saw most days was very welcoming and cheerful. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

The elevator was tiny and a bit slow, but who cares? The free wifi was a bit pokey with my work VPN, but then again my work VPN is slow in a lot of hotels I have been to, so not completely sure what's going on.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely helpful and kind - our first night we asked the front desk attendant for a dinner recommendation and it was one of the best meals we had during our whole stay! The room was just big enough for the two of us, extremely clean, and equipped with everything we needed - extra convenient to have USB outlets so we didn't have to worry about a converter. The location was great as well! We were right around the corner from the subway which made it extra easy to get around Paris without having to rely on walking or taking a taxi.

There wasn't anything to dislike. Facilities were clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was friendly and helpful. That's all you could ask for! Plus free espresso always helps :)
