Accra City Hotel

The Accra City Hotel was functional and comfortable and fully corresponded to my expectations and needs. I had a nice room on the 6th floor with a coffee machine and a nice bathtub. The hotel has a nice outdoor space and a 24/7 bar and kitchen with solid good food. I very much appreciated the breakfast, especially the fresh fruits. I can definitely recommend the Accra City Hotel, especially for work stays.

The hotel was not very helpful in arranging a weekend tourist tour out of town. They linked me with a taxi driver who overcharged. There is not much local character to the hotel and it is not possible to open the window, which was fine given the sweltering temperatures outside.

Front desk and Restaurant Staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Germain was exceptionally helpful at the Front desk.

I couldn't control temperature in my room. On the last day the AC was leaking . The window handle was broken, I couldn't open..

Very clean and comfy room with great wifi speed avaiable all the time. Good buuffet options for dinner and breakfast.

Room had metallic doors for bath, entrance etc, also there was strange double metallic door in middle of the room. Response on message via booking.com was very slow to almost none. No body showed up at ther airport for the requested shuttle service.

There was a bit of monotony with the food types. Some continental variation will help choices. I paid for breakfast on my day of arrival but did not have a take-away pack at early morning departure

No strong feelings, but the evening music sessions can be extended to at least 10pm

Actually this is my second time staying at this hotel. Spacious, clean with good service. It's a nice hotel with a special flair in the centre of Accra, Ghana. It has a big market very close to the hotel. It has internet facilities. My room was big and my bed was extremely comfortable. The facilities in thd hotel met my needs. The staff and management were very pleasant. The hotel's breakfast has a wide variety of continental and Ghanaian twist and its yummy!!! I find it value for money after staying at several hotels nearby. All in all it was a comfortable stay and I will recommend it!!!

The porters at the door were sometimes unhelpful. The other snag is the signal of the TV in my room wasn't strong.

My stay was short but nice. I wish you could sleep more. Staff are caring to your needs as much as they can. Facility has maintained good standards over the years. Simple check-in process. Beds are very comfortable, room has all in amenities, including iron for your shirts/dress. Room was clean and well refreshed, Covid protocols are well observed at this hotel. I look forward to more city breaks. I was offered a generous late check-out, but don't expect this always, check out when you have to, it always helps hotel to prepare room for other guests.

Nothing really. Hotel has an ongoing works at the back end, but nothing to worry about, swimming arrangements have been made for all travelers. It is still a good and safe place to stay in Accra. Central to everything.

Staff very helpfull , location is very good

Air conditions were not cooling enough, breakfast very poor, dinner and lunch meat dishes were based on only pork and fish and chicken. There was no lamb nor beef

I liked the standard room with shower

There is so much to love about this hotel. First of all, the customer service was impeccable. The staff has been trained well, and it is apparent that they want repeat business. Ofori, the hotel’s driver, is the man you should request to take you around to show you historical spots. It’ll cost a little extra, but it will be well worth it. And they are adhering to COVID protocols better than American establishments. I will be back to this hotel.

The hotel’s restaurant had a wonderful array of food choices, from traditional African fare, to “American friendly” meals like spaghetti. Buffet prices were a bit high, but you pay for the convenience of not having to leave the hotel for every meal.
