Hotel Hellas

My room is big, I am the only one staying on it, so its big for me. The only thing is there is only one outlet in the room, and its not close to my bed, but I made it work by alternating phones, wifi is fast. Bathroom is small, I think it also a standard size for EU countries. Pool, is clean and so Greece cause it so blue. But what I really love in this place is the staff, special Irene, she is so nice. The nicest Greek I met. She know I am tired from traveling she prepared my room before check in, which is so nice, thank you Irene. She even arrange my taxi going to the airport, cause bus line in FIra is so chaotic but organize, I don't know if it make sense. Thank you again Irene, your the best!

The location, but it depends where you are coming from and you like the uphill and downhill walk. From the bus station, i kind a long uphill walk. But its a perfect location if you want to visit one of overview site of Fira, I uploaded a photo here if you are curious what site is this. But yeah.. the location depends where you coming from. But if you have car rental, one of the big car park is near the hotel, I uploaded a photo of the car park during sunrise, it has a perfect view of the sunrise.

We were greeted by Irene at the property and immediately upgraded to a beautiful room right beside the pool with a beautiful view from the balcony overlooking the east coast of Santorini. The room was clean, modern, and kept us cool in the very hot days without needing to use A/C all the time. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Thira centre, which is nice as it is private, without constant tourist onlookers. There is a shop about 1 minute walk away meaning we could make our lunches for travel days. Irene the host was warm and bubbly and gave us excellent information about the area.

Our room was exactly as photographed. The accommodation is clean and no frills. There was a handy little balcony to sit out on in the evening and the lighting around the pool area does add a nice ambience to the hotel. They run an efficient operation and expected us upon arrival. The lady who runs the hotel is more friendly than the young girl who greeted us on the first day but all was fine. It did entertain us that there were disco lights in the room under the beds - they seem like an expensive luxury in a hotel of this calibre and may not get put to good use as this is a family orientated hotel. I did use the pool and that was a treat. If I was looking for a room for one or two nights in Santorini then I would stay again but perhaps I would look for somewhere slightly more comfortable if I were staying longer. The hotel is excellent value for money for Santorini.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a coffee/tea. The kettle was out in the corridor and you have to go and ask for cups - luckily we had our own coffee/tea with us. Other than that all was good.

The young lady at the reception was nice and friendly. Location was good, not that far from bus station in Fira and close (walking distance) to shopping / restaurant streets, but very quiet. The equipment was very simple, but bed was comfortable, however for a longer stay I would appreciate to have glass for water and some plate / bowl to use for fruits and snacks I bought in the street. The room and bathroom was cleaned daily. I could leave my luggage in the room next to reception after check-out - very helpful.

The electricity stoped working in the whole room when I took the keys with card out, including the fridge, so my fruits I left in the fridge were bad and watter hot when I got back late in the evening, but that's more kind of my fault, I din't realize to separate the card from keys and leave it in the room to keep the electricity on. :')

The location was ideal, 5 mins walking distance from centre. (Fira) Which was very lively. We went for a walk from Firostefani to Fira which was very beautiful with best scenic views:) The tuck was just across the road which was very convinient too. Highly recommend!!! The bus stop was nearby too, so Airport transfer and going to Oia was easy by bus and value for Money

when we arrived we had such a warm welcome from Irene who immediately upgraded our rooms for rooms with a sea view. This was so much appreciated as we were away as a group for my mams 70th birthday 🥳 The hotel was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely maid who came every day with fresh towels, made the beds and cleaned everywhere. The pool area was closed as it was mid April however we were so lucky to have hot weather, we asked if we could have sun loungers to sit out and that was not a problem, the pool was filled the next day and we were able to use it which was fab! Irene opened up her family church for us to look inside which is next door to the hotel, this was very special for us and just so amazingly beautiful! There is fridge in the room which was great for keeping drinks chilled, small freezer at the top for ice! Hair dryer and iron/ironing board in both rooms. Thank you so much Irene for a wonderful, wonderful stay and we hope to come back very soon to stay with you ❤️

There was absolutely nothing not to like about this property, it was so relaxed, home from home!

I stayed at hotel Helllas with my mum for 6 nights and we couldnt be happier with our choice of hotel for a long stay in Santorini! We had a lovely, spacious room with a big balcony and seaview (exactly as pictured on booking.com). The cleaning staff were fantastic- really friendly and tidied our room daily and replaced towels. The location is ideal (short walking distance to everything in Fira), and I particularly loved the huge and deep swimming pool and used it everyday of our stay! The hosts are so laid back, friendly and helpful and assisted us with everything from reccomendations, keeping our luggage and arranging a taxi to the airport. They also have 5 lovely cats who are so friendly but never intrustive! We would definitely stay at Hotel Helllas again when we return to Santorini!

There was nothing that bothered us too much, however the rooms do not provide cups/ mugs or cutlery.

Exceptional and warm welcome ! SO GOOD to be true but it was TRUE ! We rented 2 economic rooms but the hotel offered 2 superior ones for the same price. It was a GREAT WELCOME BONUS. The hotel is always clean, the staff is always available. The hotel is very well located, great views, just 10 minutes walk from downtown where we can find all buses for different destinations, various restaurants, and markets. Furthermore, it is only 15 minutes by bus from the airport. The hotel area is quite quiet to have good nights. Waouh ! I just recommend this hotel ! Thank you so much Hotel Hellas Family for the good & nice services !
