Modernity Suites

Everything was good - nice large room, amazing view, great breakfast, etc. What really stood out the most was Panos, the amazing staff person who met us to give us the keys to the place, and whom we saw every day we were in Santorini. He knows Santorini very well, and he gave us so many many fantastic recommendations on how to spend our time, where to go, how to get around, etc. He set up everything we wanted to do (taxis, ATV rental, catamaran cruise, etc.) free of charge - we spent none of our time on Santorini doing research or talking on the phone. We spent all of it together, having fun! Panos is the man and our trip would not have been half as good without his help.

Our stay was perfect! The hotel was very well located, in the heart of Fira, with a breathtaking view on the Caldera and its sunset. We appreciated the size and cleanliness of the rooms. Thanks to Panos, very professional and present at the slightest need. We had a warm welcome from him. We recommend this establishment 100%

We are in love with the property. The view is superb. They only have 4-5 rooms so make sure you booked early. The receptionist, Ada is excellent and provide us with all related information. Ada also arranged airport transfer (especially those who bring heavy bags and charged 35Euro per trip). The breakfast is awesome. There is sitting area in the room, equipped with 2 TVs (although most of the time, the signal is quite poor). The room is also being cleaned every day.

No direct access to the main road (as you expected since the property is at the cliff). The stair at the property is also quite steep, so be careful when bringing in heavy bags.

I really enjoyed how friendly the staff of Modernity Suites was. Ada, Alketa and Mr. Argyris all had a beautiful personality, and they made us feel right at home during our stay. The breakfast was also amazing from the eggs to the freshly squeezed orange juice. The coffee was spectacular, the fruit, the bread, bacon and the omelettes were perfect. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Santorini to stay in Modernity Suites, it's without a doubt, the best place you can choose on the island and the views are breathtaking, which includes a view of the Nea Kameni volcano !! If you have any questions about where to go during your stay on the island, make sure to ask Ada. She is really nice, and she will gladly explain the best places you can visit for the best pictures, activities, and restaurant recommendations as well !

I loved everything about Modernity Suites. It's really hard to say I didn't enjoy something as everything was absolutely remarkable.

Man oh man, what was there not to like about this place. It has the most amazing views, the most amazing staff and by far the coolest accommodations ever! First off Ada, the manager was THE BEST! She reached out to us months in advance of our stay on WhatsApp to confirm our details, sent us recommendations on everything from restaurants to buggy rentals and more! She made it super easy to look things up and ask her questions well in advance of our stay to make our time on the island relaxing and stress free. When you arrive Ada is there waiting to help you with your bags, give you your keys and sit down with you to explain everything from placing your in room breakfast order to where the local and less touristy spots are on the island. Honestly listen to her recommendations, we did and could not be happier! After checking in and explaining everything, she took the time each and everyday to check on us, she how we were doing and if we needed anything, it was wonderful. She also can book things for you, like dinner reservations, car rentals and excursions! We used this a couple times and man it made it easy to get a car and buggy at a great local rate! Now as for the room, WOW, you really get the Santorini cave experience with your own personal hot tub! There are not a ton of these on the island that you feel privacy with a top notch view. The shower was hot, the room was clean, the bed was soft and the private balcony was a dream. This place is an 11/10 and is an amazing value for the cost. There is also only 4 rooms so you really get a personal experience with everything.

The door(gate) to the hotel was not able to be locked. Wish the hot tub jets stayed on longer. Also, the steps/walkway from the road to the hotel is a bit tricky, however, Ada and her team is there to help with bags so it really wasn’t an issue. (These are really nit picky negatives as there really isn’t anything bad about this place!)

Looks exactly like it does in the photos - which is a good thing! The hot tub and view from the balcony was amazing and could not be beaten. Nice breakfast served to the room everyday and right in the heart of Fira but without being too close to the noisy part. Ada was super friendly and helped us with recommendations while we were in Santorini and booked a restaurant for us which turned out to be the best food we had in Greece. Book Lefkes (near Oia) when you are staying in Santorini - you will not be disappointed.

Nothing really at all, the only thing I can think of is that the Junior Suite didn’t have much storage space. But that wasn’t really a problem for us.

Me and my boyfriend loved the cave style of the room, and the jacuzzi was so much fun. The main reason we stayed at this place was because of that, so we ended up spending 2-3 hours in it during the day. When we were there in June, the jacuzzi was a bit colder for night, so I’d say it’s perfect if you’re planning to use it when the sun is out. We also had the best view to watch the sunset, and the staff were really lovely!

We didn’t have a problem, but you can see people in the restaurants (and smell the food, which made us hungry 😂) - just mentioning this for people who might be surprised. Likewise, in the room we were in you were looking at the view over glass from the jacuzzi so I guess if you’re extra short that might “ruin” the view a bit for u. We didn’t really have issue though.

The perfect view of the caldera from the hot tub / terrace. Location fantastic / room quiet despite being in the heart of busy Fira. Researched many places and at the price do not think we could have done better. And of course our host Ada was charming and keen to help with as many or as few arrangements as we wanted - for us, just good restaurant recommendations and smooth transfers as we were happy to soak in the view - but much more available. Choice of breakfast served on the terrace each morning.

Nothing - only warning is for those with any mobility issues the stairs and reaching suites from the road would be an issue.

Everything was perfect! Panos, the receptionist at Modernity was very personable. His hospitality made our stay exceptional! Super nice and friendly guy! His recommendations were great, he tries his best to make our stay the most enjoyable. Breakfast was delivered to our hotel room every morning, what more can you ask for... breakfast with the view of the Aegean sea and the famous Santorini volcano?! Modernity Suites was at a great location, right in the center of where you would want to be. The view from the hotel room and hot tub was superb. Loved the view of the sea and volcano, and that sunset view from the hotel room!! Definitely the best hotel to stay at in Fira. Would highly recommend Modernity Suites and we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located right in the center of Fira at the top of the caldera providing the most amazing views of the entire island, ocean, cruise ships, and volcano. The room was nice and modern with that Santorini cave vibe that I wanted. The hot tub outside the room on the balcony was fabulous. Relaxing in it with a glass of wine after the day of sightseeing was the perfect ending to the day. Breakfast was delivered to the room everyday at your specified time of choice. If you needed anything or had any questions the friendly staff were always available to help. You can't beat the unbelievable views at this hotel!
