Scorpios Sea Side Hotel

This hotel was a little find. It advises 2 star on booking.com but I would it was far higher. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff, who provided drinks to us in our room after ten minutes of arriving. Room was big and spacious and very clean. The most impressive thing about this hotel and room was the magnificent sea view. Wow. It was stunning and one we won’t forget. This hotel is one that you should definitely book if looking for something around or near the marina area. The price is unparalleled for what you get in return. 40 mins walk from ferry port of Pireaus. 20 mins to the gorgeous marina which is well worth a walk around. It has so many eateries also. A hidden gem in my opinion as we stumbled across this area. Hands down this hotel needs to be booked if you are checking out the coastal area of Athens which made our trip a true highlight.

The bathroom was slightly smaller but still had everything you needed and I would always take a smaller bathroom for a more spacious room and gorgeous view any day!

The view is beautiful from our room. The bed is with comfy mattress. The breakfast is very good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. You can get tickets for hop-on and hop-off bus from the hotel and the bus can stop at the hotel upon request. Note - there is only one collection schedule in the morning around 9am in Piraeus and a few from noon. However It is easy to take bus /metro to Athens with a cost of 1.2 Euro one way valid 90 minutes and you can get bus tickets from hotel as well. We did this as we didn't want to rush in the morning.

There is a road between the hotel and the sea. It is sometimes noisy with motorbikes (very typical in Piraeus and Athens). However it is quiet in the night for sleep.

The location of hotel is amazing is exactly front the sea, The personel are very kindfull even as my entrance the braught me welcoming drink and also bottel of water. The breakfast is very full and complete that includes:eggs/bacon/ham/chees/fruits/sweets,cereals…

For whom want visit athen its little far for example its takes 1haur to acropolice but that worth it because as a night life there are lots of amazing bar and restaurant near the pireus port.its realy good collectable too airport also. Just a little thing that was diffrent from my expectation for me that my room hadnt beach view,it hasnt any other view niether ande the windows are totaly covered.and room was a little smaler that the photos but that wasnt any problem just i indicate that just for your point of view. But totaly the room was good with tv and fridge and big coaboard and mirrors.

Great hotel to stay, take the sea view and you won't regret it. 2nd time I booked a room at Scorpios Hotel, this time was even better as there is also now a kettle and cups in the room. The staff is always kind and helpful. I had some questions/requests that were always answered. Funny fact, I got the exact same room than my 1st stay, felt like returning home.

Many vehicles passing in the street in front of the hotel during certain times. But, it's anyway the same for almost every other hotels on the coast.

I was pleasantly surprised with this quaint hotel given the inexpensive price point about 1 km away from the cruise port in Athen, Port Piraeus- and directly located in front of the ocean which was utterly magnificent! Add a very well appointed breakfast for $7 euros ... they were very accomodating at the front desk and genuinely kind (kudos Lazarus!) and sent cold welcome drinks to the room (lovely touch - rose wine). The room and hotel were very clean albeit somewhat outdated but can be overlooked based on the great location, views and food/entertainment/cafes literally outside your door. I would definitely return to this lovely hotel and use it as a base while travelling to the other smaller islands close by with the ferry. * OH ... the very BEST recommendation by Lazarus at the front desk was to walk 5 min down the street to a family owned restaurant 'Faros' - cooking some amazing local dishes especially the fish/smelts/octopus - the food was OUTSTANDING and cheap and cheerful and portions could feed an army ie. Grilled octopus $10, huge greek salad $6, generous plate of smells $6 - it was the best part of the short stay. Dear Greece, I will return one fine day and would not hesitate to stay at Scorpios Hotel again. Cheers to the entire staff for making it so memorable!

It was a little dated, but the cleanliness made up for that as did the magnificent sea/ocean views from the balcony room. Sundown to sun up the view was unparalleled!!

We stayed for one night after a cruise and before flying home. The hotel is located near the cruise terminal and across from a rocky shoreline. There is a grocery store and lots of cafes/restaurants within walking distance; also the local bus goes past its door. We were in room 13, on the first floor with a balcony and fabulous views; we enjoyed drinks at sunset; we slept well. Our cruise ended about 8 AM. However, the hotel found us a room to book in early and supplied us with bottled water and juice. We used their transfer service to the airport. Lastly, the staff were polite and accommodating.

It's a basic hotel; the comforter was old and thin, the top sheet was too small for the bed, but there was a blanket to compensate. There is a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee/milk. They did provide a tea bag on request. That said, it kicks well above its two star rating. We were more than satisfied with our stay.

The view was spectacular - woke up to a view of the sea! The sunset was gorgeous! The bed was comfy but room was small. About a mile and a half to the port. Bus stop was about a 3 minutes walk. Not the original gentleman, but the second one was absolutely awesome. He went above and beyond.

The staff was accommodating and so friendly once I got there, but the first gentleman did not respond as to where to take bus 904 upon arrival in Piraeus. It took one and a half hours to get there since I did not know my way around. Ended up getting an uber which took about 10 minutes. Was not advised by the same gentleman, about the elevator that you pushed on it rather than the door opening automatically. Other than that the staff was awesome thereafter! The view made up for it! Great stay! Would definitely stay again.

It is an older dated hotel but I must admit that the staff was nothing short of fabulous. They were there to cater to any need you may have and the attitude was excellent... very friendly... wanting you to enjoy your stay. Cant say enough about them... from dealing w your luggage to acquiring a taxi for you and carrying your luggage to the taxi! Just excellent. We had an ocean view room. It was very large and roomy. The view was the best we have had anywhere. Right on the waterfront.

Not so much here... the hotel is just dated is all but it is extremely well maintained so all was well for us.

The room view was incredible. The bathroom is small, but manageable. I liked the room layout and the bed was very comfortable for us. There is a lot to do just walking in the area. The hotel arranged a rental car which was inexpensive with pickup/dropoff at the hotel for convenience. Breakfast was great. Staff were available 24 hours a day which helped us as our flights through Athens were late at night and very early in the morning.

This was rated as a 2 star hotel. I would give it a much higher rating. Bathroom is a bit small. From the Athens airport, the cab was 60 euro.

The view right outside our balcony was stunning! Right across a small street from the hotel is a bay that is accessible for swimming, or walking along the promenade...the cooling sea breezes were very welcome! We felt like we were staying in a real Piraeus neighborhood, too! A cafe right next door, plus some great Greek tavernas with awesome seafood right down the street. Much more relaxing and easy than staying in Athens - would definitely return again!

Our only complaint is that the breakfast buffet could have been much better, as far as choices and quality. We would rate it a C+...but were happy that at least there was something for the start of the day...however, the espressos, capuccinos, etc were wonderful - just had to pay extra but well worth the price!
