Lake Pichola Hotel

Excellent view. Decent breakfast. And good restaurant for lunch and dinner. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely guard dog. Charming heritage feel.

A bit dusty. The room could do with a refurbishment. The WiFi wasn't always reliable. And there was building work going on on the top floor. Also I've seen better swimming pools.

Very good location. Right next to lake. Good views of lake and city. Buffet Breakfast had Indian and continental and was good. Booked two rooms . one lake facing and one non lake facing. Both good rooms. Lake facing room had balcony with great view. Non Lake facing view had garden view. The non lake facing room was large and spacious. Liked the authentic style of rooms. It gives you feeling that you are staying in a small palace rather than standard hotel. Hotel also has fine dining roof top restaurant. Traditional music played in morning breakfast and also in evening in restaurant. Overall really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Exceptional customer service by entire hotel staff. Hospitality - They were very helpful in arranging transport for all three days. Manager (all of them, special mention- Manohar) at reception was courteous and professional at all times. Electric cab drivers were warm and welcoming, special mention to Madhan. The waiters at Maharana pratap restaurant (ground floor), were great too. Facilities- Amenities, view, room service, were top notch. We enjoyed staying at this beautiful property <3

Only downside of our stay was the experience with one of the managers at upre restaurant . we had to encounter unprofessional response from him(Dilip Kumar) during our dinner reservations.He gave preference to other people who had similar dinner reservations over us,which was quite a bitter experience for us.

My parents recently stayed at a hotel with a lake view room and was blown away by the amazing facilities on offer. From the moment they checked in, the staff were welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The room itself was simply breathtaking, with a stunning view of the lake from the large window. They spent hours just sitting in the comfortable chair, watching the sunset over the water. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could need, including a comfortable bed, a large TV, and high-speed internet. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant, which served delicious food with a view of the lake. Overall, they had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway with a beautiful lake view. The facilities were top-notch, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the location was simply stunning. They can't wait to return!

The staff was very courteous and they made our stay very comfortable....the location was awesome and the sunset boat ride was very pleasant too

All was well except the food could do with some fresh ingredients....for eg we ordered the Ceaser salad and the lettuce was limp and the bread fried in stale oil....they could also address the smell in the water from the taps....that was a put off ...but I would still not mind visiting the place again....it had a very homely and comforting vibe

The hotel is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated - it’s interior is transportive! Beautiful sun terrace and roof garden with views of Lake Pichola. Location is perfect, with easy access to the rest of Udaipur on foot, by autorickshaw or boat. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the hotel - even organising for our room to be ready early when we arrived at 8am. Many thanks to the reception team who organised a tour of the city, sunset boat ride and taxi to our next destination to make sure we got the most out of our short time in Udaipur. The restaurant - location, food and service - were also very good and although expensive, it was worth visiting. I would highly recommend Lake Pichola Hotel to anyone lucky enough to visit Udaipur - it is truly spectacular Indian hospitality done perfectly.

Great staff, hospitality was exceptional, even by Udaipur standards. We opted for a standard double room in the heritage wing, which is perfect for a couple to stay. There is a rustic old world charm to the place complimented with modern efficient tech for a comfortable stay. The location is amazing, right on the bank of lake Pichola which offers a great view of the city palace. Their restaurant, Upre serves fantastic food, with a side of fantastic view ;) I would recommend booking the place for well in advance as their lake facing rooms sell out like hot cakes.

There is absolutely nothing to not like about the property. However, people travelling in private four wheelers should try to reach during the day time as the hotel is located inside the old city, the evenings get quite busy with crowds and roads are quite narrow.

stunning, amazing lakeside view, throughout the day. The location was unbeatable as there are wonderful textile and handicraft shops, restaurants , Ayurvedic massage parlours and a tattoo parlour very close by. All major attractions of the area are within view directly on the opposite side. The hotel architecture and artwork is stunningly gorgeous with detailed carvings, inlay work and elegant chandeliers. In the courtyard is a birdcage with lovely exotic birds. the staff were so attentive accommodating and helpful! I can go on and on.

The room was generally clean and had a beautiful bed with a traditional wooden carved headboard; however the linens looked very worn out and were not the proper size. the sheets wouldn’t fit the mattress. It would’ve also been VERY useful to have a large doormat at the door to wipe our shoes which get very dirty in the muddy and wet Udaipur streets. i

A beautiful, romantic and historic property overlooking Lake Pichola with a fabulous view across the lake to the City Palace and beyond….especially from the outdoor breakfast tables off the lobby, and from the elegant and stunning outdoor rooftop restaurant…you’ll want to have dinner here every evening. Definitely book a lake-facing room or suite at this hotel to take in one of the most beautiful cities in India during your stay. Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and seem happy to handle all requests. Rooms and public areas are vintage, understated, atmospheric, and very comfortable. The neighborhood and narrow lanes around the hotel are fun to explore, as are the many fun and funky shops selling handmade items that will be of interest to travellers. Its an easy walk around the end of the lake across a Venice-style bridge to reach the City Palace neighborhood. I love coming back to this hotel.

The condition and maintenance of the lobby/breakfast area is not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The breakfast buffet, while adequate, could be improved as well.

Location of the hotel is amazing. Perfect view of Lake Pichola one could expect.

I would like to mention to all the guest as to do not book thorough the Hotel any kinds of additional services which can be availed from outside, the hotel charges double for the same. example renting of two wheeler. I had rented Activa for a day for Rs 500 the same can be availed right outside the hotel from 250Rs. This was just a small example. We had also booked massage service where in again we were charged double as to normal rates.So generally hotel has 100% margin for all the addon services availed
