Hotel Temple On Ganges

I recently stayed at Hotel Temple on Ganges in Varanasi and had a pleasant experience. I booked an Economy Triple Bed Non-View Room and was allocated room number 11 on the ground floor, just opposite the reception. This proved beneficial for my senior-citizen parents, making accessibility hassle-free. The rooftop offers a captivating view of the Ganga, and you can choose to dine there or at the ground floor dining room. Each floor features a common courtyard, some with Ganga views and others overlooking the front side of the hotel. The hotel's proximity to Assi Ghat (a 3-4 minute walk) makes it ideal for witnessing the Subah-e-Banaras morning Ganga Aarti at 5:30 am. The lively surroundings with various cafes and eateries, the Alakananda Cruise departure point, and a permanent Mela Ground add to the appeal. My room included a double bed, a single bed, TV, a small table with chairs, hanging space, racks, a mirror, electric kettle, tea bags, AC, room heater, free wifi and a geyser. The well-maintained washroom and daily supply of three mineral water bottles added to the comfort. The hotel's diverse menu caters to international guests, offering options like pancakes, muesli, porridge, custard, etc. The staff exhibited warm and hospitable service, addressing all our needs promptly. We easily reached the hotel from the railway station via a reserved auto for ₹250. In conclusion, Hotel Temple on Ganges offers a pleasant stay with a convenient location, making it a recommendable choice for anyone visiting Varanasi.

While Dashashwamedh Ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Temple are around 2.8 kms away, reliable auto services are readily available for approximately ₹250-260. My room, despite being a bit cramped, offered excellent value. While the hotel's food is commendable, nearby eateries provide alternatives at potentially lower prices. In conclusion, Hotel Temple on Ganges offers a pleasant stay with a convenient location, making it a recommendable choice for anyone visiting Varanasi.

A. Delivery of food takes long time so plan accordingly B. Old people will have trouble in climbing stairs up to 3 level as there is no lift C. Guest reaching after 5pm cannot drive directly to the hotel as th rood is blocked ed for arthi. The cops stop 150m before. So call the reception to help you with the luggage

All people associated with this hotel made our stay so comfortable that it felt like a home away from home. The view of mother Ganges both from the terrace and our room was absolutely amazing. Room was spacious and comfortable. Assi ghat is 2 mins walk from the hotel. This made it possible for us to witness the devine event of Subah-e-Banaras, the morning arati at Assi ghat, a mesmerizing experience that nobody should miss out. Mr Madan Mohan Pandey ji is a great host. Dilip ji and all other staffs were jovial and helpful. Next time I will visit Varanasi, I am definitely going to stay at this hotel.

The location, you walk downstairs walk 2 blocks and you are in Assi Gath (where they hold the sunrise and sunset ceremonies). So the location of this hotel is prime..! The staff was also great, especially the kitchen and cleaning crew. Great location if you are into spiritual retreat or yoga stuff. Management was a bit stand-offish, but the rest of the crew was very amicable and accommodating.

The only thing I didn’t like about it is that my booking read “city view” and “balcony”, and I didn’t get either of those two things. Also, beachside of Diwali, the driver never arrived at the airport to pick me up. Make sure you read carefully what room you are choosing because not all the rooms have city view.

WE HAD THE BEST STIME , STAFF AND DILEEP WERE REALLY HELPFUL, RIGHT NEXT TO ALL GHATS AND ATTRACTIONS AND ON THE RIVER.

We stayed here during Holi holidays in the room on the terrace. The terrace has only one room and view from the terrace is nice and the hotel itself is few meters from Assi ghat (it’s not on the ghat). The interiors of the room and the staircases have been done very intricately and deserves appreciation. The room size was ample, however the bath size has been compromised. It’s nice hotel with very well done room interiors and courteous staff located next yo the ghat.

The outside facade doesn’t do justice to the interiors and the bath size could have been more.

HTOG is right beside the Assi Ghat, which is pretty cool. You can walk 3 minutes to the Ghat in the morning or night, so location is really good. You have to get a tuk tuk to the main ghat, it’s 10 minutes but honestly not bad. The place is a modest, but clean. Busy at night, and does have some form of dump next door (but i didnt notice anything) I would stay again, as the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is excellently located near Assi ghat. River view rooms have excellent view. Staffs were very helpful and cared for the customers. Food was simple and very well prepared and tasty. Hotel infact allowed us to stay for few hours after check out time as I had elderly people with me and my train was in the evening - very appreciable. Owner Madan Mohan Pandey is very professional ensures customers enjoy their stay.

We booked 3 deluxe rooms 4 months before our trip. However 3 days before our trip , I called the hotel only to hear that 3 double bed rooms are not available and only 2 DB rooms can be provided and 1 single bed. I had 4 elder persons travelling with me and it was frustrating to hear this at the last moment. However booking .com ensured I got the correct rooms in the end.

The room was clean and comfortable but no hair dryer. The staff was amazing and really made us feel as appreciated guests. Munu gave us service from his heart also Nitesh and Prakash. Auto driver Ramesh Verma gave us his service in a humble, honest and he satisfied our every needs to the perfection. Mr. Madan Mohan you and staff are most wonderful hosts.

The internet truly sucks. I would have love to give a 10 but in today's world it's very important to have high quality internet.

The location is the best part about the property. The staff is also very helpful and supportive. However, the room we got was a bit small and congested.

There is a lot of noise around the hotel which makes it hard to catch some sleep.
