Fairfield by Marriott Visakhapatnam

The Location of this hotel is great , i was looking for something close to the airport (10-15min). The view from the terrace and the infinity pool overlooks the hills and is quite lovely , especially in monsoon times. Breakfast timing and choices were good . I would recommend the Dosa at the counter, it was thin , crisp and superb ! The buffet spread in general was quite sufficient across lunch and dinner, with some traditional local cuisine choices as well as North Indian. Paneer & other fish, chicken dishes were well prepared and tasty. The staff were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful , i would say they went out of their way to fulfill even small requests. This was true in the restaurant as well as during check-in and check-out .

A couple of minor points - we travelled as a family , so we did miss having a games room for some entertainment during rainy weather. Also about the dessert selection , while the spread was good across most meals, in some cases i felt the taste on some items could have been better.

Marriot group is having it's own sets of rule..they really make you feel like the king (in my case queen)..if you have some feedback, then they will make sure that they will work on it..same goes for Fairfiled..the staffs were amazing..they listensed to me and then they kept on giving me surprises (from welcoming to giving me farewell)..I am totally in awwwwww...

Just a constructive feedback..everything is almost perfect..quite appreciable initiation to hire local (specially female kitchen staffs for making coffee or bread items) in their kitchen..but they need to have a Sous chef for taking care of North Indian dishes.. like Pav bhaji had good amount of garam masala, chole is quite sweet, etc..its not the current didn't try but it could have been better...

The initial booking process had hiccups, However i was extremely overwhelmned with the services provided by the entire staff. The reception staff(Vijay for understanding our needs), the housekeeping,(for decorating the room) the chef (for the special chocolate pancake), the bartender (for the special kid juice) all took care of the smallest little thing and my kid/ family were very happy. The hospitalitly and customer service was nothing less than world class and this could easily be one of the best customer service i have ever received in one go. The location could have been better. You could not even open the curtain for the sunlight as residential building was too close for comfort.

The staff hospitality. Especially the impeccable service from Front Office reception, Ajay. Also loved the cleanliness and fresh bedsheets. Food was of high quality.

We noticed the toilet cover was broken. It was loose & just fell off. We didn’t report it as we were not staying long. In addition, the shower head was not fixed to the shower and kept falling off. Water came out at an odd angle. The room had a musty smell when entering but it dissipated once the aircon was on. I will definitely stay again at this property if I ever visit Vizag again. Great value for money.

Breakfast was great! Location could have been closer to the beach. Staff was delightful. I really like the variety of foods available. also, the bed was very comfortable and i liked the multiple pillows so I could prop up in be and read.

I had some difficulty keeping the room at a comfortable temperature. The water temperature in the shower could have been warmer. I like to work at the desk but there was always a windchill there when the AC was on.

The staff is exceptionally professional and makes all possible efforts to make the stay memorable. Special thanks to Chef Debendra for excellence in his field. And special thanks to the staff for the touching farewell

Location of the hotel is at a very ideal place. Breakfast was good, had enough verities. Neat n clean rooms. Good pool

Had very bad check in . Had to wait over an hour to get my room even though I have reached at 1430hrs only and I did this booking approx 2 month early. Immediately after check in I have gone out and while returning found room was opened by staff and left without locking. Also , they have kept few eatables on table, with out any covering. Immediately , on noticing it on my arrival I have informed the front office on this lapses and asked them to inform to their GM. Unfortunately I could not get any feed back from GM, till this moment.

Clean hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff.

Travel desk useless. When we requested taxi, we were told not possible until next day! We booked our own, with the help of hotel staff.

Staff was courteous.The buffet spread for dinner and breakfast was good. Food was tasty.

We had booked two rooms. However one was in the corner which looked like some leftover space converted into a room. The bathroom had no glass partition in the bath area though they had provision made for the same. So was not at all appealing.

The hotel is very nice. I had a king sized room and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet. Hot shower. Lots of options for breakfast. Takes only 10 minutes to the airport by Uber.
