Westlodge Hotel & Leisure Centre

We had a brillant stay in one of the cottages, the staff were so nice and friendly in the hotel and a special mention to Brid, who was so accomadating to us and especially our daughter who has a disability, she was so kind to us all. Can't wait to return Highly recommend 👌

The staff were really so friendly and helpful. The hotel is possibly around 40 or 50 years old, but is very well maintained and very clean. The lobby area is lovely to sit and have a coffee or a drink. Our kids loved the pool. The bar food really was very nice.

Sadly, the bar doesn't have a view over beautiful Bantry Bay, it's a windowless room. The dining/breakfast room does have a view but the restaurant has limited opening hours and wasn't open on Friday night when we wanted to eat. We'd have loved to have a meal overlooking the bay, but instead had one looking over a big screen TV playing RTE 1! We'd have loved to be able to log into our Netflix account on the TV in our room, as we were travelling with our kids.

After driving over 6 hrs got keys for cottage drove down very dark lane my cottage was 10 I saw a sign 1 to 8 and that's it so I had to get out put my torch on my phone walk around to look for number ten I'm fit and able for older people very dark and could easy trip over something. It would have been nice to have a light on and sign saying number 10 but we got sorted

Great location. Room very clean and a good size. Swift check in. Staff helpful and friendly. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Fabulous to have air con. Service in Hannies was excellent.

Dinner in Hannie's was convenient,but food quality was just OK. Our corridor was noisy at night, loud banging of doors until well after midnight and screaming child/children and shouting parents that kept us awake very late.

The location was great for Bantry and surrounding area. The hotel was clean and friendly. Having the use of the lesuire pool free was a real bonus. Beds were comfortable. Hotel bar was very nice with friendly staff. Walking around the gardens was lovely which lead straight into Bantry Town. Good quality restaurantsin Bantry and cafes for breakfast. Full Irish 12 euros with coffee or Tea and toast

Price for breakfast at the hotel was steep as we had breakfast in Bantry Town for one day and had better choice better quality better price. Would not recommend the breakfast.

The staff were so attentive and friendly without exception. The service was wonderful, and the breakfast was very fresh and tasty, loved the great fruit bowl options. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The meals we had in the restaurant and the bar were lovely. Would be happy to visit again and recommend.

One small thing that wasn't great, the Irish coffee! The coffee was watery and the cream was frothy and evaporated after a few seconds! But served with a happy smile, so nothing wrong with the service.

Staff were nice and friendly. The lobby very relaxing. Receptionist very accommodating and switched room for us when we requested. Leisure centre staff lovely and great system when checking in.

Poor WiFi throughout and TV channels in room coming and going. Food in restaurant quite bland and vegetarian breakfast not worth the €15 in my opinion.

While the rooms are modern the double bed was slightly smaller than we would have liked. The room was more than large enough to accommodate a bigger bed. The breakfast staff were lovely but the full Irish breakfast could have been a bit better.

Breakfast was very good and adequate. I would like to see homemade brown bread served. I don't know if porridge was served but I'd have liked it as an option. The staff were so welcoming and helpful when we arrived on Friday. Also dining room staff were excellent nothing was a bother. Unfortunately we had to check out a day earlier but staff member on duty couldn't have been nicer about it. We'll be back!

We were happy with everything, room was gorgeous and included tea making facilities.

The room we stayed In was recently upgraded and a lot of effort was made to include everything that you would need. It was nicely decorated and I loved that the air conditioner could also be used for heat. We didn’t use the leisure centre so I can’t comment on that. We had food in the restaurant and it was lovely. The bar was comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t have any kids with us but there appeared to be lots of activities for kids which was great.
