I stayed at Tom Blake House recently as I was attending a function in the locality. This is a very charming property and very centrally located within Kells. Our guestroom was quite spacious and very tastefully decorated and the bed was large and very comfortable. The hosts David and Avril were very welcoming and offered to drive us to the function we were attending, which we thought was very kind. We arrived early and they accommodated us which was very much appreciated. For breakfast, there was a number of options. We opted for a traditional Irish breakfast which was absolutely delicious and the coffee was excellent, A beautiful property with great hosts and I would highly recommend.

Fab location and easy to find. Within walking distance of kells town but still in a quiet area of town. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and cook a delicious hearty breakfast offering full Irish breakfasts, Veggie breakfasts, Sweet breakfast (I think it was pancakes or french toast), cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly made tea and coffee, fresh juices. Beautifully decorated house and rooms too. I didn't take a shower while there but my friend did and he said it was incredible with great pressure. The rooms were lovely and warm as well as being clean and spacious. Would 100% recommend this place to stay in and if I am in the area again I hope to stay here again!

I only realised when I was leaving that they had a dog on the property outside, I love dogs and wished I had have seen them earlier to give them pets! Honestly the stay was that good the only complaint I could possibly give was that I didn't get much time to pet their dog.

This place is the bees knees. The house itself has had many uses in its past but has been lovingly restored to a guesthouse by the owners and the decor and ambiance of the building is very cosy and homely, you really have to see it for yourself. The owners are a very hospitable couple and the room I stayed in was beautifully laid out with warm fresh bedding and period furniture. Lovely bathroom with power shower and a range of locally sourced toiletries. Pantry kitchen for use if you need it too.

The only thing I would say is that the room could do with a TV and that was just for the sake of having visited during COVID there wasn't much in the way of night life to keep me out but I would say most people staying would be looking for a place to rest for the evening so it's not a big thing.

Breakfast was wonderful. David had 3 choices and coffee was amazing. The owners were absolutely warm and welcoming. They gave us amazing places to eat. We had a wonderful night at Jacks with the best Irish music one could ask for.

There was a relaxed atmospheres about the place I liked the communal dining arrangements. Strangers having to talk over breakfast is an interesting start to the day. The breakfast was good. The building itself is interesting. Appears to be a well restored manse like house.

Absolutely everything was excellent. Bed was great. Room was comfortable down to the finest detail. A beautiful buliding and Avril and David couldn’t have done more to make us welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Great hosts. We hope to see you again soon.

Would highly recommend a stay here, all the benefits of a hotel but with the extra benefit of a family run venue, very welcoming warm atmosphere and beautiful decor... Room was bigger than most and the hosts were so nice would definitely stay again thanks for a lovely stay ☺️

We were welcomed very warmly by the family. The house was beautifully decorated and the bedroom was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The owners were very helpful with ideas for sightseeing and places to go for dinner.

Fantastic weekend, everything amazing. Breakfast was so delicious, best showers ever, beds and rooms gorgeous, whole house is delightful and the owners are absolute super stars. Will definitely be going back!

it is one amazing House. The interior is beautiful, the bedroom gorgeous. Highly recommend this House where the food and hospitality and warmth of the two beautiful hosts cannot be beat. The homemade Bread is awesome. Full 10 for everything
