Maldron Hotel Tallaght

The tea and coffee making facilities, I was able to leave my bags at the reception, the private car park. I had originally booked in for one night, but decided to stay for a second night and I was given the room at the same rate as the first night. This was greatly appreciated.

I found the menu in the restaurant to be limited.

The Hotel is located in an excellent position, close to the terminus of the tram which takes you to the center of Dublin in 40 minutes. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The staff is extremely kind.

You can choose the "clean room" or "refresh room" option; staying only two nights, we chose the refresh option. However, with this option only the beds were made, the bathroom was neither cleaned nor the used cups changed (a kettle is available with tea and instant coffee sachets).

Check in was efficient and quick. Only issue was not told you had to use your key card to access the lift. Only realised after the person blocking the sign got out after couple of stops, bit annoying. The Bedroom was very clean, nice and had all your needs. Good shower aswell. Bed where comfortable aswell. I had burger and chips in the Bar and side of onion rings. Breakfast was good and plentiful and staff where very attentive. In all great two night stay and I would stay again.

Onion Rings where like the ones you buy on Aldi, it annoying as you'd expect homemade ones with the price of them. Not being told about Key Card use on the lift.

The design of the building from the outside was very highend looking. This was also felt when at reception and throughout the building facilities. My room was excellent in design and functionality. The staff were extremely nice to talk to and very professional. The breakfasts and dinner we had during out stay were lovely with a great selection. I have to especially mention the dinner that we received. The chicken wings were definitely one of the best we have every tasted. And the 10oz steak was perfectly cooked to my liking (medium) and had the most amazing crust (crispy sear) on the outside whilst being perfectly tender and juicy. There was nothing I can fault during our stay what so ever.

There is genuinely nothing I can fault or suggest to improve on.

I wasn’t expecting much as I just randomly booked a two night stay for me and my partner, I spent most of the time there alone which usually which keep me in my room as I have anxiety but your staff from the moment I walked in greeted me with so much respect and made me feel so comfortable. I ended up booking an extra night for meself as I enjoyed sitting at the bar and having chats with the employees. I just have to say I hope they get the recognition they deserve because they wore amazing and I had a beautiful time there.

Service in restaurant was extremely slow waited over 30 mins for drink order which was wrong when it arrived & they had forgotten the food order altogether & has to ask the kitchen where it was. The following morning I had to clean the table we were seated at for breakfast while the waitress looked at me as if I was mad to want a clean table. Staff were very pleasant but some of the younger employees definitely need more training. Receptionist was great & so pleasant & welcoming as we're the security staff. On the whole a very pleasant stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was AMAZING!! The staff was very very helpful and approachable. The hotel is just a short walk to the Luas which connects you to the city, as well it is close to a big shopping center that has many restaurants and other things to do!

The staff in the restaurant were not as friendly as the front-of-house staff. The food was also not great and we needed to send back some dishes as they were cold or not prepared well.

I can not express how exceptional all staff were in every area from reception to cleaning & all other areas they could not do enough for us.

Unfortunately while we stayed only one lift was working which did cause some delays. Also it was like being in a maze trying to find the pool. In our bedroom 410 there was no lock for the bathroom so we felt somebody had to stay in the room while we showered incase cleaning staff came in.

Lovely room, really comfy beds, good location - easy to get the tram into Dublin.

The lifts were out of order for the 2 days we stayed, just one of those things out of the hotel's control and they were trying to get them fixed but I felt the one complimetary drink for each guest was measly compensation really for the walk up and down the 110 stairs we had to do to and from our room! The staff were all very apologetic though and friendly. It was really hot in the room the whole time (a warm spell of weather), but two electric fans were provided in the room which were definitely needed!

Hotel is beautiful bright and spacious lobby welcome water station on arrival was a nice touch check in quick and easy staff were very friendly especially Jordan our server at dinner time he is a credit to the team food was delicious for both dinner dessert and breakfast comfy beds spotless room and public areas. If you fancy a walk there is a beautiful park up the road with a lake and playground so lovely to stroll around after dinner

Something that couldn't be helped lift out of order lots of steps up to the 2nd floor but these things happen. No air con in the room if there was i couldnt find it was very warm but open a window and it's fine room was quiet and peaceful
