Carrabaun House

We arrived after a long day on Croagh Patrick, and Angela was a doll. She is a kind lady with a beautiful house in a wonderful location. The home was not only beautiful but clean, with comfortable beds, a place to sit and read in the room, and a view that can not be beaten. Our morning breakfast was the best food we ate in all of our time in Ireland. The fresh fruit from her garden with the homemade yogurt was delicious. Our morning meal included a hot selection that was definitely fresh food and made with love. It is evident that she loves her home and, more important, cares for her guests. We left feeling like more a part of the family than travelers

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay here. We will stay again when we return to Ireland.

Accommodation was lovely, spotlessly clean, views from the bedroom were stunning, dramatic and changing daily. Breakfast kept us going all day, home grown fruit compote, home made bread, hearty cooked breakfast, plus more on offer. Angela very thoughtful and welcoming host throughout our stay. Really glad we got to stay at this accommodation. Nice and quiet overnight, refreshed in the morning. Close to Westport but not that close as to hear the noise of the centre at night. Generously sized rooms and beds. Would be delighted to stay here again.

Well just amazing, from the warm welcome by our host Angela to the beautiful and cozy and tastefully decorated room, and oh my how clean it was, incredible. The living area, sitting room, and also the garden, just wonderful. And I almost forgot the seaview! Comfortable bed, big room, great bathroom, nice shower, delicious breakfast. An absolute delight to stay here. Located at just a couple of kilometers from the harbour in one direction and a couple of kilometers to Westport in the other direction, great places for dinner, recommanded by Angela. Ideally located, also to go see Croagh Patrick (famous statue of Saint Patrick and the pelgrimage mountain).

We liked everything about our stay here . Angela was fantastic host and the bedrooms are so clean and comfy slept like a baby . Breakfast was amazing and so many choices down to lovely homemade bread . Angela was very helpful too in getting us taxis and they were there so fast . A beautiful b and b with a view to die for and the hostess with the mostest . 10 /10 all round can't wait to go back x

Very friendly hosts, beautiful elevated location with stunning views of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay, very clean and comfortable, with an excellent breakfast including fruits grown in the garden of the property.

The road leading to the location of property is full of turns and it is easy to pass the entrance on the first time as it comes into view quickly around a bend, so it can be tricky to slow down and turn into if there is a lot of traffic behind you.

We had an exceptional stay at the Carrabaun House. We would like to thank our hostess for supporting us tremendously with the acceptance of our late luggage that was delivered all the way from Dublin. Thank you very much for your kindness in this endeavor. Our experience with the accommodation and all its services was superb. We recommend anyone to have a lovely stay while being in Westport, Ireland.

Overall a grat stay, house and bedrooms were immaculate, lovely shower. Breakfast was very tasty. Hostess very pleasant.

The only thing was that we arrived at 3pm as we were going to climb croagh patrick on that afternoon but we were not allowed access to the house change our clothes and use the bathroom ( as check in at 4pm) so we had to drive back into the town to a hotel yo use the bathroom there. A bit disappointing after driving nearly 3 hours to get there.

Angela was very accommodating to us, we had to get up early to go hiking & Angela made breakfast for us earlier than the usual time, the breakfast was delicious. The location was fantastic, 10 mins from the town & harbour. The view of Croagh Patrick from our room was beautiful. The rooms were clean, tidy & comfortable. Angela & Francis were great hosts.

Great view over the countryside, mountains and sea. There’s plenty of parking, and our room was well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and the menu offered a good selection. Angela, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.

The room could have done with more storage. Although it’s close to Westport town centre, you have to drive there as the road is busy and doesn’t have any safe space for pedestrians alongside it. Fortunately parking is easy enough in town.

Cleanliness, spacious bedroom and comfortable large separated beds, shower box large and good water pressure. Breakfast was abundant and great quality. Parking on premises.

Could hear noise from other bedrooms, toilet bowl right in front of sink, if you bent your head while sitting on the toilet you would hit your head. Owner kept conversation to bare minimum cutting it off, though she was not rude per se, just distant or guarded.
