Although in lower town it was easy to access the whole town

The hotel was very much work in progress with building work and decorating going on during our stay. If we had known, we would have delayed our visit for a couple months.We are sure it will lòok fantastic when the work is finished.

Nice facilities, clean room, nice breakfast

Staff a bit inattentive at reception. Didn't feel as welcome as I expected

We had an extraordinary stay for 2 night in Palazzo Santo Spirito. The hotel, which was a monastery complex in 16th century, is recently renovated and everything is aboslutely new. We felt like we were the first guests in the room. Room was very clean, with modern interior. The matresses and pillows were very comfortable. In the bathroom the shower gel and shampoo were organic and also there were slippers in the wardrobe. There is a minibar that includes soft drinks, mineral water and beer. The staff was very nice and the view from the breakfast area was incredible (there is an indoor garden with lots of flowers and greenery). The hotel is only 5 minutes away from the central part of the city and very close to the train station. I highly recommend you to stay at Palazzo Santo Spirito. Hope to return one day.

The only thing I regret is that we didn't ask whether we can see the anciant frescoes that have been found and restored.

At breakfast we went to sit outside to eat but there were no utensils on the table so we went to an inside table to get the utensils and a staff said we had to go around to the other door outside to get the utensils. We already had the utensils in our hands so they would have to replace it anyway so why not let us keep those and they could just replace them inside? It seemed an unnecessary thing to say and make us put the utensils back on the inside table. Put a damper on the morning when we were enjoying the beautiful outside courtyard

First time at this hotel. I paid 135 Euros for one night , double room, including breakfast. A good location, 10-15 walk from the train station, 10 mins to Citta Bassa, 25 mins uphill, to Citta Alta. A new hotel, only opened in April this year. A nice courtyard used as a car park, a beautiful courtyard used for dining and relaxing in, out the back. Very friendly staff. All very clean and tidy. My attic room was nice.. and new. Lovely big bed, great bathr00m and shower. Even had a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom ! Busy in the dinning room for breakfast, so I ate out in the garden style courtyard..... lovely. A bit more than I would normally pay for one night but overall, good VFM.

Bearing in mind its a' higher end' hotel , there was no fridge in the room. I also had to ask Reception for tea/coffee as not in room but shown as being a room facility. As an attic room, I had no view of anything.....only the sky. Minor teething problems for a new hotel.

(Almost) everything was great, great value for money in a nice location. The hotel looks great, the food and especially the coffee was very good. Definitely worth coming back when visiting Bergamo again.

My only con was the internet speed / Wifi. I was working the day of my visit and the Wifi was impossible to work on. You could barely browse a webpages, it was impossible to join video calls. I had to go searching for better Wifi in neighbouring caffes. Other than this small, but very important aspect, everything regarding the hotel was very good.

beautiful building, great location, brand new hotel.

the hotel was not finished, the room not properly cleaned of building material. No checklist could have been done before letting the room out, as proper check list would have spotted that soap dispensers did not work, that light below TV can not be switched off, therefore on all night, that bits of building material have not been cleaned in the shower and bathroom tiles and around wash basin in bathroom.

Great location close to the old town, secure parking space with a tight entrance but it was working well, unique dining aerial in the old cloisters, great food, and a good variety for breakfast, stable WiFi,

If you are a single traveller, you have to stand up a little for getting a nice table or a suitable room. It's all new refurbished and renovated, but some basics are missing. Although the staff was caring and friendly once you made your point. Plus, the room was not very clean upon arrival

Location of this new hotel was good. When they have sorted out teething problems it will be lovely.

No tea and coffee machine in room and phone didn't work. Asked at reception if bunk bed could be made into sofa, none of the requests happened. Bar area was nice but expensive (£8. for cup of tea)! Breakfast area was chaotic as all the buffet was in the one area no-one could get to it.
