Albergo Diffuso Birkin Castello

Nice small modern hotel with a beautiful design in the very center of capital city of Sardinia. A bit complex to find because there are 3 door, instructions on WhatsApp are written by very small typos and not very clearly describing. A very pet friendly atmosphere, good breakfast and all necessary for comfortable staying.

The manager, a young women in glasses on reception the day we arrived even did not look at us when we entered and did not reply our calls when we were lost for 30 min on the 40 degree heat with 5 luggages and a dog on the «  m wide street with never ending cars. She continued the same in one week when was her shift. Contrary, another manager was very kind and efficient as well as cleaning ladies and cooks of the breakfast were utterly nice.

The property was beautiful, the rooms and dining area were so clean and bright. The bedroom had lovely long windows looking out onto the old cobbled streets. The breakfast buffet was amazing with choices such as yoghurt, pancakes, cakes, eggs, cold meats and cereals. The owners of the hotel messaged us as soon as we arrived and give us recommendations for food and cocktail bars. The hotel is situated in the old part of caligari and it was lovely at night walking down the cobbled streets. This is a hidden gem and highly recommend.

The hotel itself- which is a floor in an old building is excellent. Very nice modern and comfortable room with everything you need in it. very clean. the location is good-inside the old town but gives you trouble to come and return. Wifi was good breakfast was excellent!- the best we've had in Sardinia

The building itself is in the old town and not in a very good condition. The elevator practically does not work. Parking is outside the old town- and about 15 minute walk uphill-that was tough. You could only stop for a minute to leave the luggage- but even that only after 9am (and before midnight).

Parking and actual finding the apartment and getting in was slightly difficult, maybe because we came by car and we couldn’t leave the car on the street. Parking is approximately 800m from the place - easier to park first and carry your stuff to the apartment. Nice location in the center of Cagliari. Apartment was nice maybe little bit to small but it worked.

It was in the city center - so bit noisy, we were close to the street, so we could hear people speaking or cars passing by. Breakfast was ok, but I expected something more. It is great for a couples but I found it more difficult with the little one.

The accomodation was really comfortable, clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel is in the historical area of the city therefore, it is very pleasant to walk around the area and there is a lot to see. The difference in height is quite significant compared to the other part of the city. But there are two elevators available on the eastern side of the castle wall, which greatly makes it easier to walk around the city. We would go back anytime!

Luxurious and spacious room with kitchenette and private bathroom/ensuite in an excellent location. The breakfast was wonderful. Just the right balance of selection of food without being overwhelming with choice. The staff went above and beyond to interact with our toddler. Could not have picked a better place.

Superb location right in the the Castello district in an old, stately house. The team is super nice and very helpful. Our room was a bit on the small side for 3 people but was very tastefully restored. Breakfast was also great with fresh fruit, ham, cheese and local cake.

WiFi was slow. Not recommended for light sleepers since noise travels easily in the stairwell and comes in through the street.

Birkin castillo was the perfect location for exploring cagliari in the one day we had. The staff were super responsive, helpful and lovely including the lovely breakfast meal provided. The room was also great! Large and aircon was a life saver in the searing heat. We parked at apcoa parcheggio regina elena as recommended by the hotel and it was well worth the 8eur fee for 24hrs. The walk to and from the hotel from the carpark with out bags was an uphill battle but can't complain as that's part of cagliari's charm :)

Breakfast was prompt and delicious with a variety of options. The location is excellent if you are interested in the museum complex and other sites in the Castello area—just be aware that almost everything else in Cagliari is rather downhill from this property! The room was small but comfortable even for a weeks' stay.

The WIFi was out of commission on arrival (and thus a source of stress since I was trying to put the finishing touches on a conference presentation), BUT the staff went to heroic lengths to try to get things working on the spot, and even though the problem was ultimately outside their ability to correct immediately, they brought in professionals and had everything working smoothly by lunchtime the next day.

Well decorated and appointed room, in a fantastic location in the middle of the historic centre of the city. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Only Minor complaint is that the Check in process could be a little bit clearer, especially for any quests that arrive later in the day.
