Central location hotel with modern facilities & friendly staff

They don't have a pool, it's actually a spa pool & it's €100 for 2 hrs per person, which is outrageous. The advertising is misleading, making out you can swim in an indoor pool. You get a message 2 days prior to check that you to pay to use it. It's quite cheeky & the spa should be a part of your hotel rate like all other hotels. It was empty... I wonder why?

daily buffet breakfast was wonderful. scrambled eggs are light and not over cooked. for an additional 10 euro the salmon scramble is 5star!. you can see management hires great people and those people treat customers with a very caring professional style!

We loved staying at the Palazzo Doglio, the room was comfortable, the balcony large and location wise it was a cool 10minute stroll to the centre which on a lazy holiday is lovely, it didn't feel unsafe whilst walking around the city, people were friendly and accommodating. Did a boat trip with the hotel which was lovely too. We ate at all the other restaurants in the Palazzo from sushi to pizza, fine cuisine it was all yummy, highly recommend. I would definitely stay there again!! A big thank you to the ladies of the hour, Valeria, Aurora and Sonia - these ladies made our rooms spotless each time. And of course the breakfast was lovely, coffees amazing and staff were lovely too, so (in no particular order) thank you to Alessandro, Michelle, Claudio, Mary, Alberto, Luca, Denise and Lorenzo (thank you for that pizza spot) :D

It would be great to have free daily water as complimentary when staying for a quite some days, its something I am used to having at other hotel stays. Maybe switch up the breakfast daily sliced fruits available if possible for some variety. If you're someone exploring historical sites and are up early with sleep early, the balcony room is quite noisy with live music being played up to 11pm, though it was lovely and beautiful, for early night sleeps, it wasn't sound proof with the balcony. General transport: Watch out for bus transport officers, we witnessed many tourists hit with 55 euro fines without compassion because they bought tickets but didn't know how to validate (machines sometimes at the back of buses and too cramped).

We loved the place - the hotel is very well decorated/furnished plus it seems to be brand new, everything is clean and shiny. The service was very nice and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located - it's not at the very heart of the old town (5-10mins walk), which makes it quiet. There are couple of really nice restaurants nearby - some of which are actually in the hotel's courtyard. Breakfast is very good. If we ever come back to Calgiari, this will be our place to stay at. There are some rules around using swimming pool - so if you really care about it please inquire first.

The breakfast was good ( orange fresh, excellent and delicious coffees - we are only in Italy - , pastry, fried eggs, omelettes, butter and jam, prosciutto, cheese , fresh fruits) . The location is very nice - at 5-7 minutes walking from the old town - and the restaurants in the inner courtyard are pretty ( the Italian foods was delicious . The wine - same ) The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, but standard double room it has not a balcony . The staff was very polite and helpful ( thank you for this ) . If you want to go to the beach I recommend Poetto Beach , especially Emerson Beach Club - a nice place ( 10 minutes by the taxi and around 15 euros ) We loved this hotel and we hope to comeback there .

You can pay around 45 euros for 2 hours for sauna and indoor pool, which is a little strange for five stars hotel . They don t have outdoor pool - it would have been too beautiful ... The massage was not so good for 75 euros for 50 minutes. That s too bad because the spa is very nice .

The exceptional hotel design - lovely and attention to detail. All employees were very helpful and client-oriented. It's the first hotel where I saw room cleaning twice daily. Special thanks for the restaurant service - I enjoyed by delicious cappuccinos and the attention of the employees there. Also, I'd like to say thanks to the concierge who worked on my departure day - my flight was early morning, but the person was able to make a coffee for me. In the dispute situations I had due to my mistake, the personnel still was very polite and no extra charges were incurred. Moreover, I very much appreciated the driver Roberto who waited for me at the airport despite of the wrong initial destination (for some reason my flight from Rome instead of Cagliari arrived at Alghero airport, so I came to the correct airport 2-3 hours later than expected).

What I'd like to improve to make the place even better than now: - the pillows were too big for me, I would change 2 of them (out of 4) to a smaller size - I'd like to see more diverse options for breakfast, but from another point of view - the reason is most probably in the client's preferences: I prefer cooked breakfast such as fried eggs or an omelet with sausages, whereas just a few people there who liked the same kind of breakfast. At the same time, there were plenty of options with cereals which I don't like much.

The room had all possible comforts. It was perfectly clean, I couldn't hear any noise, the bed was super comfortable, and it's the first time I found curtains that really block the light in the morning. The breakfast was also excellent: you could have a broad choice of savoury and sweet options. High quality tea is served in a perfect manner. Parking is to be paid separately but I could find very cheap parking lots nearby and had no security-related problems whatsoever. 20 steps away from the Hotel entrance, you can even find one of the best "pasticcerie" on planet Earth.

Beautiful property, large and comfortable rooms, excellent restaurants.

The only reason for not giving a 10 is because the gentleman who checked us in gave us the wrong room when we paid for an upgraded room, and offered to book our dinner reservation at one of the restaurants but when we arrived to the restaurant they did not have any reservation. They were able to move us to the correct room and the restaurant thankfully was not too busy so we were able to get in.
