Hotel & Spa Villa Mercede

- Staff very friendly, helpful & welcoming. - Food was a tad expensive but delicious. It was nice they offer both broader dishes as well as local cuisine. - The gym was small but good & useful to have. - We didn’t use the pool but were grateful for the option. It was nice to relax around. - The A/C in lounges & lounges themselves were well-kept & nice to relax in. - Extremely clean rooms. - Luggage storage available. - Ample parking if you are renting a car.

- The walk to town, while relatively short (15 mins), is a steep uphill walk with cobbles, so quite tricky in the Summer. - It would be useful to have more amenities nearby as everything very much is in town. - An iron & ironing board in the rooms would be helpful. Several of us were visiting for a wedding & so many of the men were surprised there was no iron & because they all flew in they didn’t have time to use the ironing services. Irons are quite standard elsewhere so we were surprised this was not included. - A kettle or coffee would be useful in the room for those mornings where you want a lie-in.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine, but the restaurant and its staff is excellent. they serve very delicious dishes. The shower has a problem initially, but it was quickly fixed , so no complain about that.

The only problem is that you can clearly hear the voice from other rooms or when they use the bathroom. The hotel rated as 4 stars, it is expected that hot bottle and coffee and tea with small cups provide in each room. Also, there is no Toiletries except the hair cap in the room, and bottle of the shampoo and hand soup.

the place was clean, the personnel (cleaning people, people at the breakfast, and receptionists as well) was very nice, responsive if necessary and always smiling. I did not know, and I found a jacuzzi in my room (very nice surprise). the breakfast was also rich, and really appreciated the freshly made orange juice.

The connections to other places is not great. There are possibilities to take a taxi, but 15 euro (if I am not wrong) to do 650 m or so to reach a station (uphill) seem a bit too much.

Views on Rome, cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, good bed, courteous and helpful staff, good quality breakfast with variety (not limited to cake and cookies).

Operation of the swimming pool stops at 18:00 and does not start that early in the morning => no possibility to enjoy before or after a warm day of work or of visits.

A perfect distance from Rome - short train ride - whilst not being in the city. Lovely views. Restaurant dinners of memorable food. Spa facilities greatly appreciated.

Rooms are far from soundproof. Heard everything (!) from next door. As a solo female traveller I am very used to being given smaller, non view rooms (even when I am usually paying more per person than a couple) but, when there are not many people staying, I would have appreciated a view other than a car park.

Enjoyed using the facilities especially the pool and restaurant and free parking. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

I liked it all.

The hotel and the staff were great! The staff had smiles always and went above and beyond. The food options and taste at dinner was 10/10!

I only wish they had bigger rooms and baths included - for a 4 star hotel I did hope for an option of a bath at least!

Not only was the hotel beautiful, the staff was absolutely amazing so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were cleaned everyday, great value for money, loved the location and the views.

Hotel, pool, gym, bar/cafe all really good, well maintained & clean. All staff are very helpful & courteous. Must give a special mention to Julia who was brilliant when dealing with an issue with my daughter.(thank you👏)

Taxi’s very expensive to/from property. Also would be great if the shuttle bus to town centre was made operational again.

Excellent service, great looking, extremely helpful and well organized team. The rooms clean, food delicious, I’ll be back for sure.
