Patria Palace Lecce

Very comfortable hotel with fantastic breakfast and really nice roof terrace. Very clean and most comfortable bed we found over three weeks in Italy.

Staff were not always accommodating eg I asked for an iron and rather that tell me there wasn’t one available it took two days to finally have one sent to our room- and in the end it was a steamer. It was a simple request and if only option was to send out for pressing I would have been fine with that. We also had repairs being done in the room next to ours and was told it was another building and they couldn’t control it- except when we looked on the floor map we saw it was actually another room next to us. Just needlessly complicated interactions for a five star property.

The location was excellent, couldn't be better. All the staff, particularly those at the front desk, were invariably friendly and helpful. The car valet service was very good, super convenient, and fairly priced, considering the urban location. Again, given the location in a largely pedestrian area inside the walls of the old city, the hotel provided excellent driving directions. The breakfast provided a tremendous variety and unlimited quantities. The rooftop bar was pleasant, and our room was large.

The bathroom was poorly arranged, with the toilet immediately behind the door, so that a person on the toilet could be hit when another person entered the room. Also, the shower door had an inadequate bottom seal, so that water from the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, making it very slippery.

Great location, friendliest staff! The team really made our stay feel special. Great breakfast with cooked options and variety. The facilities were very clean, great room service as well. We were initially allocated a very small room; after discussing with reception, they moved us to a different room with almost double the space within the same category, which was nice, it's just a bit disappointing we had to ask. The hotel has a partnership with a great beach club on the east coast, which is great and totally worth checking out. We used the hotel transfer during that day and the service was great.

The town square is quite busy, and there was construction going on during our stay (it started very early in the morning). In the final days of our stay, we noticed a strong sewage smell coming from the shower/sink which made staying in the room a bit uncomfortable. 25 euros/day for parking seems truly excessive (especially when parking anywhere else would cost less than a fiver), I'd be more comfortable if this was included in the room price and not paid separately.

Loved every element of our stay but the stand out is the team; their service is impeccable and exemplary. They couldn’t have done more for us. The available parking is a necessity if you are driving and what came as a very welcome bonus was the concierge service; they handle everything regarding your car. It is a beautiful hotel in an incredible location. There is a complimentary beach club on the coast which was also amazing. The best place I have ever stayed, supported by the team who are polite, friendly, professional, and want to go above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend Patria Palace enough.

Everything at Patria Palace was 11/10.

Rooms were large and clean and well equipped and updated. We had a great shower, and also a bathtub in the room. There was a balcony door to the small courtyard , but we did not really utilize it. Location was AMAZING, as it right in the middle of everything, and there is a very large beautiful Church right in front of the hotel about 50 -75 steps away. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection , and you could eat inside or outside on small patio area. There is also a small bar off the front lobby where you can order cocktails and drink in the bar or outside on another small patio in the front area facing the church. There are multiple restaurants and bard within literally minutes away, and the service by everyone was first class. Friendly , attentive and very pleasant staff. I would DEFINITELY return and go back to Patria Palace.

We wanted to eat at restaurant at top of hotel , but it was booked both nights we were there unfortunately , Friday and Saturday , but everything was FIRST CLASS !!!

The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the center, close to main attractions. The room and bathroom are of perfect size and comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Top notch is service, everyone who works there is extremely polite and helpful.

For breakfast, the hotel could have a toaster. When we asked to heat up a bit our bread it took very long so when it came my tea was cold. They could have less options of cakes/ patisseries but have fresher ones. The hotel could have a policy of not changing towels and sheets every day, upon request.

Gorgeous hotel in the absolute best spot in the heart of the city. Their communication before arrival was impeccable. This hotel is in a restricted zone and made sure we knew how to arrive and what to do to ensure we didn’t get a traffic violation. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and tremendous. I loved the shower room with bathtub.  Wonderful rooftop bar. Absolutely fantastic breakfast

There is really nothing not to like about this property. If you are opposed to noise from the street then be sure to ask for a quiet room. Ours was right over the front entrance which had a great view of the church but was loud through 3am

Smelt amazing, very clean very good lighting and the temperature was perfect (nice and cool). Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Upon arrival we weren’t given a full brief of the hotel I.e. where breakfast was (ground floor or floor 3). How to access wifi. And information pack would have been helpful, if not at reception on arrival, then one available in the room. Took a while to realise there was a QR code with some hotel information but that wouldn’t have been an issues if it were mentioned upon arrival etc.

La Patria is a very special hotel. It was perfect in every way. It is beautifully designed with a curated taste. The room was luxuriously appointed from the toiletries to the special teas and a very comfortable bed. The AC was great and nicely controllable. Breakfast was beyond our imaginations with sweet and savory offerings of all kinds. The eggs were delicious. I loved the poached eggs and yogurts in particular. We also enjoyed the roof terrace with a wonderful view of the church and surrounding rooftops. We will definitely return!

I liked the opulence of the building. It truly felt like a palace. I liked its location and the comfortable beds and the luxurious cotton bedlinen. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and patient.The concierge even sent us a nice bottle of Spumanti with a greeting card when he heard that we were celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary. What a lovely gesture!!! I was very happy to hear that the hotel provides free round-trip transportation to its private beach and used this opportunity to have my one and only swim in the Adriatic sea which I truly enjoyed.

Because we are elderly, it was a bit difficult getting in and out of the bathtub. We would have preferred a shower to a bath. I highly recommend installing e a safety grab handle or a bar on the bath wall and placing a plastic or rubber bath mat inside the tub to prevent elderly people from slipping and falling,.
