Hotel Cimarosa

This is an excellent location in the Vomero area. It is close to the metro and the funiculaire and a taxi rank. Getting into the centre is easy and quick. Around the hotel there are lots of nice places to eat and plenty of good shops. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, there is plenty of choice at breakfast. The whole place has a really nice happy relaxed vibe.

It is a minor point, but the entrance to the hotel is not very well marked. The hotel is located on the fifth floor of an old building (with a perfectly good lift). There is an intercom entrance for the building with a small hotel sign beside the intercom. It took us a while to find it on arrival, even though we had been told where it was.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, with superb access to funicular and metro. There are plenty shops, cafes and bars close by as well as a good supermarket. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was useful to have a basic breakfast available. The local area felt very safe.

The hotel is on the 5th floor of a building with a teeny lift which relies on a gate to be shut in order to operate. We only were forced to walk up one time but from what the staff said, there are regular issues with people not closing the gate. I think this could be easily remedied with better signage or an internal phone line at the top and bottom.

The location is excellent. The metro station is very close by which allows you to get around the city very easily. The hotel itself is within the same building as the funicular station too if you want to use that also. You have Castle St Elmo nearby which offers the best view of the city, and many great bars and restaurants in a very safe area of the city. The room itself was also very quiet, a good sanctuary from the chaos of Naples you can experience during the day.

The breakfast was pretty meh, it was the typical stuff you get in an Italian hotel, but the selection was limited and some of the food seemed very old. Coffee machine didn't appear to be working on the day. This is ok as there are many cafes nearby, and if you just want something quick here then the pastries are fine.

Location ,Location. location ,Hotel is spotlessly clean ,Rooms are comfortable ,Great powerful shower ,Air con ,Small Fridge,Great continental Breakfast ,The staff were great a special Thank you to Martina on reception and the Manager Emanuele also the Gentleman who prepares the breakfast ,The hotel is located right next to the Funicular and metro with easy access to both ,Located on the 5th floor there is lift access and great views of the Bay of Naples from some rooms. The beds are comfortable although slightly hard but that’s to be expected in Italy ,I will happily return to the Cimarosa and highly recommend the Hotel

Love the location in Vomero, one of our favourite areas of Naples. The hotel is in a very characterful old building - the same building as the Funicolare Centrale, so very quick to get to the lower town and centro storico/ Spaccanapoli. It is on the 5th floor with a lift. Breakfast was excellent - great selection. Manuele and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Interesting art around the public areas. Very comfortable bed and very clean.

Some very small things about decor but inconsequential.

it was clean and felt safe! as a solo,female traveller I need to feel safe where I’m staying!

I had a late flight and arranged late check in, however I couldn’t get through the door as they hadn’t sent me the code to get in and so was stood on the street calling them, but they didn’t speak English and I don’t speak Italian. luckily a woman passing could speak both and helped me…. this was really disappointing as the rest of the stay was great!

The location was the best, funiculare and metro stations are just near the hotel. Big and clean rooms. Very nice neigbourhood. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Additional bed was not comfortable like many of the hotels. Breakfast is below avarage, not have many varieties of food.

The Breakfast was as usual all over Italy Hotels, the view was poor, however the Hotel is in the building that the Funicular Central Station, and taks to central City.

The Eleveter (: and there is no Car Parking that conecting to the Hotel, it is a private Parking not as indicat on the Hotel site, and they charge 40 euro per night when they see that you are Turist.

In a really nice area in Naples. Staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Need to put information outside to let you know how to contact reception as reception is on 5th floor and main door of hotel is not always open.

Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; location in Vomero is wonderful quieter area near parks, nice shopping, restaurants and the funiculars to the historical center. Manuel made sure we could get taxis to the train station with confidence. We were upgraded to a bigger room which made our stay more enjoyable.
