L'Essenza Hotel

Our family of three enjoyed all aspects of our 2-night stay in late May. Excellent communication with the staff at the desk prior to arrival and impeccable hospitality during our stay. Check-in exceeded expectations as we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite that was spacious, well-appointed, quiet, and very clean. Answers to questions we had about local transportation, beaches, restaurants, etc. were most helpful. Breakfast on the top floor was awesome. Not only was the variety and quantity of food amazing, the attention we received from the young waiters and their enthusiastic supervisor pumped us with good vibes for the rest of the day.

The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful, always smiling. The location was perfect only 2 minutes away from the main strip and the restaurant's and bars. The breakfast was also very good. The train station is also only 5 minutes walk away and very easy to use to get to Golfo Aranci and Sassari etc for day trips.

Unfortunately there were no draws in the room furniture but we worked out of our cases.

First of all the family that owns and runs the hotel is fabulous. Very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was conveniently located in Olbia.

Unfortunately we were there in August and my room was not as cool as I would like -- a few nights a bit uncomfortably hot. Also, the other guests came home from their evenings out quite late, e.g., 1-3 am, and there was a lot of door slamming as the corridors were quite noisy. The hotel was in Olbia, which may not be the best location for visiting Sardinia. It was our choice but next time I'd stay on the water somewhere.

The Location of the hotel is perfect, in the city center , 5 minutes walk to the harbor , a lot of restaurants and bars are around , the hotel is extremely clean , the room is extremely comfortable. The staff is out of this world they are exceptionally nice , they get out of their way to do what you want with a great smile . The breakfast is great , all served fresh , everything is baked fresh , the Omelette cooked fresh upon request and was delicious, simply the staff at the breakfast room are serving with Love . I hope I can arrange for a longer stay next time . Also the parking slot we reserved was an added value, it was paid but it worth it .

I don’t normally leave reviews unless the place is exceptionally good or bad. The staff/owners were very caring and they put a lot of attention to details. You could tell that most of them were part of the family who owns the hotel. the lady at the restaurant was so lovely and presented the breakfast with so much passion that it was nice to see and listen to her. It’s very hard nowadays not to be disappointed with the breakfast or staff’s attitude, but here we loved everything about it. amazing cakes and fresh fruits, staff inviting you to have more of everything, such an amazing selection of good quality food. didn’t feel rush to leave the table, instead they were checking on us for more coffee or food. We’ve only stayed one night, but I will definitely consider this hotel for my return to olbia in the future. Complimenti!

great location and value for money in olbia and for exploring north and south beaches - plenty of bars and restaurants in Main Street within 2 min walk. we paid for a parking space at 10€ per day but well worth it and can be booked in advance. hotel is really clean. bedroom was spacious and looked like new bathroom with superb shower. Added bonus was a small fridge. there is a mini bar if required. The breakfast is taken on roof which also has a terrace which we sat in at end of day with a drink. the ladies who serve breakfast are all amazing and we couldn’t believe how much food they were giving us. platters of fruit, croissants, meats cheese and bread, and boiled eggs. hot breakfast if wanted was scrambled egg or omelettes plus a selection of cereals including English variants. we were even given Italian chocolates and biscuits. reception was great - we took two pin plugs but it’s 3 pin - reception loaned us two so we could charge mobiles and returned at end of stay.

maybe some extra pillows in room as one wasn’t enough but that’s just personal preference and was no problem for extra when asked at reception.

Loved the location, the staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was quite small, only 4 hangers in the wardrobe but we had a terrace which was good and bad. This was shared with the room next door so when those guests were outside smoking, it wasn't too nice. We were disturbed by a screaming child for the first 4 nights of our stay around 4 a.m. mostly. Breakfast was a treat, the girls were very friendly and made our stay very memorable 😊

Noisey guests (not the hotel's fault). Other than that, it was fine.

Breakfast was excellent - simple fresh display and option for cooked eggs - set in a fantastic location on the roof of the hotel. The manager was super helpful, recommending a good place to eat the evening I arrived and going beyond to help me get to the ferry when I left. The room was simple and to the point. No mini bar, but items all obtainable from the foyer.

The bedroom wall to the hall was thin, so the acoustics of any significant movement outside the room was not brilliant. However, each floor only has a few rooms so there's not much opportunity for human traffic. Without a small child throwing a brief hissy fit outside my door, I wouldn't have known this.

The rezeption team is really nice and professional and provides you a wonderful stay. The living room and bath of our room were spatious. The breakfast team is extremely kind and energetic (mille grazie un’altra volta). Good breakfast with fresh orange juice, croissants, cake and different kind of eggs. Delicious coffee. They read every wish from our eyes ;) Perfect location in Olbia!

The cleaning team could be better. Two out of seven days they did not clean our room (even if there was no indication on the door) and the last day they forgot their cleaning stuff inside our room. But nevertheless it was a wonderful stay.

The hotel and staff were perfect in every way from arrival to departure. the young man on the desk was helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport and transfer to the next hotel. The room was modern, clean and quiet. Great location - you can walk from the Olbia train station - a little uphill at the start but a nice walk through the Main Street. Breakfast was delicious- a great omelette and the team friendly. The owner (I think) bakes fresh cakes each day. The apple cake was just like my mum made. We were given a bag to take a piece with us.
