location, size of room, the young fellow, Michael, who helped us with our parking and our bags and getting to the fitness center. Wonderful attitude and great service. The reception staff were very friendly. Parking on site was appreciated.

The first night we arrived, we booked a reservation for dinner in the dining room as were told were told reservations were preferred. We had early plans the next day, so we booked the first reservation of the night, which was 1900, I believe. In any event, we were the first people to arrive; unbeknownst to us, an entire bus tour has already been seated in a private back room. As such, we received very slow service as our poor waiter was consistently summoned to the back to serve the bus tour. We were served last and were the last to leave the restaurant. All the other patrons in the restaurant received their meals before us. The Matre'd did absolutely nothing to help. Our poor waiter felt so badly but he had no choice but to do what the Matre'd told him to do.

great big room with comfy bed, bathroom could do with some renovation (shower was leaking when in use and bath faucet dripping constantly), complimentary water in the room and espresso machine, Breakfast was excellent, great variety and real cappuccino available, not only from machine, Staff is very friendly.

nothing really not to like - might look a bit outdated however material is solid and firm, only as mentioned above the bathroom could do with an upgrade. Careful when providing hotel address, as it took as right into the TLZ of Parma :-( , apparently similar road existing, so search on hotel name ;-) !!

A nice hotel, smart and clean. The bed was especially comfy (very big!) and the room/bathroom was a lovely size. Not much around the hotel itself (and no nice view) but only a 15 min easy walk to either the centre or the station. Breakfast was good, staff were pleasant and we were very comfortable.

Decaf coffee in the room is always welcome. Not everyone can have caffeine! I didn't like how they left a bag of crisps out on the side next to the complimentary coffee. So it looked like it was also complimentary, but actually cost 4 euros. For a bag of crisps. Be aware!

Hotel was very easy to find. Parking was very good and undercover. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is modern and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was good. We did not have breakfast in the hotel. The location was good...Parma centre was accessed via a walk through the large park accessed via a small bridge behind the hotel. Parma is a very vibrant, interesting and attractive ancient city. The museums, historical buildings (religious and secular) are excellent.

Our room was extremely hot at night. We attempted to adjust the air conditioning but nothing happened. We opened the windows but there was constant noise from a generator or some such. The next morning we mentioned it at reception and were told all the air-con was off due to air pollution levels. They thankfully provided us with an electric fan. Unfortunately there was a very noisy group of around 20 young boys (not Italian) whose 6 adult supervisors were not controlling them. The boys were allowed to run around on every floor of the hotel, up and down stairs and lifts shouting, jumping on and off the furniture etc. The adults were sitting in the lounge which was open to the dining area. This sadly spoilt our dining experience.

We were told we'd been upgraded but our room was quite small, with no view. Not really an issue but i wouldn't have noticed if they hadnt said anything. We asked a few questions about what was on offer for breakfast as we hadnt decided whether to have it or not, whilst i appreciate the honesty of the answer (I've not had it so i dont know) it wasnt particularly helpful

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and old fashioned beauty of this stately hotel. Our room was super comfortable -roomy, extra pillows- everything you'd expect from a business hotel but lovely with brocade wall paper and original oil painting. It's a 10 minute walk through the park to the city center and there's a big supermarket across from it. The breakfast was phenomenal- fresh fruits, eggs...even a rustic loaf of bread still warm. Also appreciated the free parking- this hotel is a great value for the money

water in shower could be hotter

We stopped en route to Italy and booked at the last minute. We chose the hotel because it had parking however the very few free spaces were full so the alternative was a paid car park underground. This was the only disappointment. The beds were were very comfortable and we were able to watch tv in English and had a much needed rest from driving. It was a 15 min stroll into Parma old town which is stunning, fabulous restraunts and shops.

Beautiful hotel with old classic charm, plush sofas and old paintings. Spotlessly clean and spacious room with beautiful wallpaper and matching furniture. Professional staff. The breakfast was amazing!

Compared to the photos on the website, the room was very dark. Partly due to concrete walls of the building stretching further than the windows (can't explain it better), and partly due to what seems to be a film on the windows that protects the room from too much sun.

Location was great, an easy 10-15 min walk to city center. The customer service from the staff was superb, especially from everyone at the front desk. Room was much larger and nicer than I expected. I was on the 4th floor and my room had new flooring (others who were on a lower floor said their room had old carpeting but mine was solid flooring and very nice) the bathroom was huge for european standards and it had a great bathtub. Breakfast was decent, Im vegan so there werent many options for me but thats expected in Italy. Fresh fruit was great.. I had dinner at the restaurant one night, the food was good and the wine was great.

Coffee machine for cappuccinos was a little disappointing compared to my other Italy cappuccinos that I look forward to. Theirs was more like what you would find in the united states. Soy milk or oat milk for cereal and coffee would have been great

The rooms were large and very comfortable. The finishing of the entire hotel was exceptional in that everything was in marble. The breakfast was great and the staff was very kind. Especially kind was Ms. Charlotte Parker. She was just great a true "Star" of the hotel.

Unfortunately one had to walk through a park to reach the center of town but being the summer, the park closed its gates at 8:00 PM making it awkward to get back to the hotel.
