Hotel Fortuna

The hotel was in an ideal location although initially difficult to find. We used the mini metro from the the train station and asked for directions from the tourist office. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The room was a reasonable size and had wardrobe and bedside cabinets however storage in the bathroom was limited so toiletries had to be left on the floor and no hooks for hanging towels. Safe in the room which is always useful. Breakfast was continental with cold meets, fruit, pastries and cake. We were finally able to get a lovely cup of tea rather than coffee. Nice rooftop terrace and reading room. We also like the use of old fashioned door keys rather than electronic key cards which sometimes cause an issue. We were visiting Perugia for a wedding and several of the wedding party guests chose to stay in this hotel, ideal walking distance from the main square and location of ceremony. Excellent value for money.

Lack of storage in the bathroom as we were staying for 3 days our toiletries were left on the floor.

Perugia was the second city on our Italian tour and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. Hotel Fortuna is in an excellent facility. One can visit all the sites from this location. The rooms are large and clean, and the staff are super helpful and kind. The history of the building is amazing and the terrace on the roof is so much fun. The breakfast was so much more than expected- so much to eat with a great variety. Would recommend this property to everyone.

A bit noisy in early hours. What you save on breakfast, put it towards getting a room away from the street. While it may seem romantic to throw open the shutters and look down on the street, it can be a bit annoying at 0600 when the service trucks come through.

Room was very quiet, good size with everything we needed. It had a small balcony but we couldn't use it because of weather. Excellent and abundant breakfast. A couple of nights there was no internet but that was not the hotel's fault. Otherwise it was excellent connection. Centrally located with easy access to everything.

Small, corner shower typical of most older European hotels. Not a problem for us but a bigger person would feel tight. Even if you're not disabled, if you have any issues using stairs or have big luggage, let the hotel know when you book. There is an elevator but several rooms require also going up 3-7 steps to get to your room.

Fabulous hotel, location, staff (reception staff Valentina, the lady in the afternoon and the night staff gentleman, dining room and cleaning ladies) were exceptionally helpful and the rooms were beautiful! Good quality sheets and towesl, very good size rooms and bathroom and an elevator in the building. This hotel would be my 'go to' in Pergugia. You literally walk out of your hotel and you are 30 second to the main via and you can see the beautiful Duomo. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants and steeped in history ( I did a walking tour from the Duomo) The reading room is opulent and comfortable, the top -floor terrace is stunning with a relaxing view of the area . The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was varied, fresh and set in a beautiful dining room. Grazie mille Hotel Fortuna!!

Nothing- I absolutely loved Hotel Fortuna!

We only stayed in this hotel for one night. It is very centrally located in Perugia old town. The room and bathroom were a good six. It was also very quiet. There was a very nice, comfortable room on the 3rd floor and an outdoor terrace on the 5th floor where we could sit and admire the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Whilst there isn't a bar on the roof terrace you can take your own drinks up there. The continental breakfast was very good, with a good selection of things to eat and drink. We ate at The Ristorante Altromondo which was a very good meal and reasonable priced.

The room and bathroom could do with some updating, but this wouldn't stop me from staying again.

Breakfast was served from 9 because we had to choose a turn (covid related hotel policies) but unfortunately at 9:20 when we showed up juice and other food were almost out and weren't replenished even when we asked. The room was nearby the elevator so we heard other people coming out of it, the pillows a bit to thin and matress quite hard (this is subjective though)

The location of the Hotel Fortuna and its historical setting were exceptional. Perugia is a very hilly city; fortunately the hotel is at the very top, just metres from the Piazza Italia and a couple of minutes by foot to the museums, the cathedral, bars and restaurants. Perugia is magical - and the Fortuna was ideally positioned to help us make the most of the magic with little effort. The staff were very helpful, too.

The hotel is located in the very historic centre of Perugia. We arrived there by train and then we used the minimetro to reach the historic centre. The hotel is 5 minutes walking from Pinceto station. Staff both at the reception and breakfast room were extremely friendly and efficient. They really made you feel at home in the hotel. Breakfast was very tasty, especially the pastries Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. Wifi worked well during our stay.

It's a lovely hotel right in the centre of Perugia close to everything but in a quiet street. It has historic features beautiful cielings. The breakfast was very good with a choice of savory and sweet. The room was big we were 3 sharing a we had alot of room and a big bathroom. Hotel Fortuna is the perfect place to stay on a visit to Perugia.

The staff was wonderful, and I found the accommodations to be sufficiently comfortable.

The breakfast was dreadful! The coffee machines, though functional, produce an irritating blend of industrial goo. You would have to go a very long way call it coffee. and the rest of the breakfast was no better. It was a diabetics nightmare. I am not diabetic, but the almost offensive amounts of sugar and sweets was almost nauseating.
