Hotel Diana

The other reviews were correct. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the location is perfect. It is close to the center and the ruins of Pompei, but somehow it is off the main street and has its own parking. I just parked in their lot and for two days forgot about traffic and problems finding parking while I walked all over the city. The room wasn't the fanciest and on the smaller side but the air conditioning and wifi were great. Very good value. Just what I was looking for. I liked it so much, I stayed an extra day.

The location is close to the centre and train station.Staff are very helpful and friendly.Breakfast is also very good .Close to restaurants and the main square.

Due to work in the area the electricity power was not working for a day and the hotel does not have its own generator.It was very inconvenient as the AC was not working and it was very hot . The listing says that the hotel has a restaurant but it did not .

Hotel Diana is located minutes walk from the Pompeii ruins, local restaurants and shops. My wife and I stayed 2 days in Pompeii. Our room was clean, comfortable and very nice. Breakfast was included and wonderful, we had a varied of food choices, breads, mortadella, cheese, yogurt, juices, cappuccino, coffee, tea etc... Every morning Marko the person in charge of breakfast came to talk to us, served us cappuccino and was so friendly that we felt as if we knew him a long time. We booked a boat trip to Capri which left early in the morning before breakfast hours at the hotel, but Marko made sure we had breakfast before we left for the trip. I can't say enough great things about Marko, he is truly a great person, always with a smile on his face. Alessandro is one of the people that work at the front desk at Hotel Diana. As far as hosts go, so far no one can beat Alessandro, he provided us with the best customer service of all time. He gave us a map of the town, highlighted the locations we wanted to visit, provided us with great restaurants and best of all, he went above and beyond in helping us book our boat trip to Capri, he went on the website, checked the time the boat left and arrived, booked our tickets, called a cab to take us to the port, gave us the phone number of the cab for us to call them to pick us up on the way back from Capri. Also, as part of our trip, I rented a car, and Alessandro allowed us to leave the car parked at the hotel while we took the boat trip to Capri. The service Marko, Alessandro and all the staff at Hotel Diana provided is top class and unbeatable. If I'm ever back to visit Pompeii I know where to stay.

The location of the hotel is really central - the ruins are not far away. And there are two train stations (Naples/Salerno line, Herculaneum line) quite close. There are a lot of restaurants close by, but the hotel is in a small sideway, so it is not noisy at all. The breakfast is good. But most of all - the staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked a transfer from Naples airport - and first we had to re-book because our flight got re-scheduled and then we were delayed by more than 2 hours. But the transfer was waiting for us :-)

So many things. Where to start? The location is perfect. Hotel Diana is just a minutes walk from Pompeii (Trenitalia) railway station. Located on a small road, it is quite yet only two minutes, or less, from a multitude of bars and restaurants. The hotel is also only ten minutes level walk from the amphitheatre entrance to the Pompeii ruins. So, it really couldn't be better positioned. Hotel Diana is extremely clean, the breakfast is great and the staff are all very pleasant. Rooms are small and simple but have everything you need. There is a bar where you can get a coffee in the evening if you don't want to go out. It's a great hotel and my wife and I were so pleased that we picked it.

This is just a great place to stay in Pompei, close to the rail station but you don't hear the trains, the ACs work well, good range of restaurants up the streel towards the town square, Piazza Bartolo Longo. The ruins are a 10 minites walk in the same direction. The reception staff are great and very responsive. If staying for a few days the Supermercato Decò is 400m west along the road next to the railway station. For a great coffee and bakery head up to the Piazza Bartolo Longo and the bakery on the corner of the Via Roma will not disappoint.

- The swimming pool is in another hotel and you have to pay an extra fee to enjoy it... but really, knowing the price of the room at Hotel Diana, you can't complain : you can go for Hotel Diana and you'll be more than happy with them

Absolutely brilliant location for both the train station, the ruins and loads of cafes, bars and restaurants. Staff were excellent and looked after us really well. They recommended and booked a fabulous restaurant for my husband's 60th birthday and arranged to put some bubbles in our room for our return to celebrate. The room was perfectly clean every day and we were also lucky enough to have our own little private patio (Room 5) just outside. The shower was really good too -.hot and powerful. Lovely airy breakfast room where due to ongoing covid restrictions you had to pre-order from a menu and it was then brought to your table. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the bed was really hard and uncomfortable 😕 also breakfast choices were a little limited and not all items were there every day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and receptionist Claudia was a massive help with organising transport to the airport and giving information on local transport

Not much not to like to be honest, the location was perfect lovely little terrace and garden to enjoy some fresh air and vaping, comfortable bed and room gave us everything we needed. Only thing to say is maybe breakfast could have had some more variety in terms of cooked breakfast and choices of fruit

Great location for the Pompeii ruins and also very close to the train station for onward travel. Reception staff were very helpful and reception is staffed 24 hours which is great after a late or delayed flight. Family room with a double and two singles was great for our family and the room was spacious.

Breakfast was ok but could have been a lot better. The range of food available was not as varied as we're used to seeing. The breakfast room had plenty of space though to enjoy your meal.
